Thread: Good avian meat...
Ask around on your server and find out where crafters share info about resource spawns.
On many servers, the place is www.swgcraft.com, on Tempest it's http://enactive.org/swgand I'm sure there must be others.
When you're looking for avian for buffpacks, you need (in order of importance) high Overall Quality, Potential Energy and Decay Resistance. Spawns of it that are really good in buffpacks are very, very rare and shifts of it are (roughly) a week long so you need to get in there and stock up hard when you find a good spawn.
Good luck!
I was wondering, where do I find good avian meat?
What should I be hunting to get it?
I need the meat for buffpacks, which is why I am asking the question here...
I can solo almost any normal things in the game, including vors and rancors, so I have no problems getting it if I just know where to look.

DR=856, FL=674, PE=644, OQ=816
.. or this on Yavin4:
DR=792, FL=180, PE=883, OQ=792
which one should I go for, and whats the best things to hunt to get the largest amounts?
Thanks for the help so far
Go for the Yavin stuff - and hunt chokus
Grab some veghash too - it bumps up the amount you harvest some, too
Flurry has 3 decent spawns of avian right now. Unfortunately they're on Corellia, Talus and Tatooine ![]()
The 3 worst planets for gathering avian.

Flurry has had2 good avian the last week.
one is OQ 759, PE 838
other is OQ 970, PE 525
According to your formula the second one would be the better one to use. Yet I can make better buff packs using the first one. The first one gives me about an 830 pack and the second gives me about an 808.
They both cap on effectivness after 9 experimentation points. The other components can make enough difference that just using OQ*.66 + PE*.33 doesn't always work.
