Thread: Can't name a house with Doc/Dr./Doctor?
I noticed there was a change to signs this morning, but since the servers are down now I can't test if this has changed, but has anyone else noticed this? and does anyone know WHY??
I was walking up to my house last night and noticed the sign just said "sign" and was a bit confused. Had been called "Oset's Doctors Office and Pharmacy" So I tried to change the name, "invalid" hmm I say to myself.
So I think it's too long, try different variation of above, still not working, think might be the ' nope not the '. I named it' "Oset's House" and it worked fine. Then after I added Doc/Dr/Doctor in there, it instantly becaome "invalid" again.
So now my house is called "Oset's Wound Treatment Center and Pharmacy"
Can anyone validate this and anyone know why? I know they updated the "profanity" filter, but can't see why this wouldn't be allowed in a house name. I'm just hoping this was fixed in the sign changes they made today.
Oset - Master Doc, Dearic, Talus, Naritus
hey try this guys
Doc'tor is 'IN'
those ' seem to help.
Apparently the word "Medical" is obsene to use on a vender name, but Med'ical works fine.
Like i wanted mine to be Medical Guru...wouldnt' accept medical, medic, doc, doctor etc etc

Well that's a good "work around" but doesn' address the issue. I'm a little upset that I can't use my professional title in my house name or on vendor names.
I submitted a ticket on this, but not holding my breath on this.
And as of yesterday's patch, you can't have color in the names of structures anymore. *sniffs* ![]()
I think Holo or Vass, or one of the Devs, mentioned somthing about the color thing being unintentional and they would be putting that back in.
I'm starting to think that the building names must be using the new name failter used for Players. Then it would make sense that they do not want to have characters with a nem like Doctor, or Dr, or whatever, since that is a title and not a name. Maybe that is what is hapenning here.
You also can't use "Master" by the way.
Very annoying list of 'obscene' words they have there.
You use hex codes as I understand it.

If you try it let me know. I'm at work and can't try it yet.
