Thread: Should we take a stand?

We get no respect as doctors, and we struggle to make a living. Should we stop buffing for one week? Do you think that would be enough? This has been a long time coming and I have alot to say, but I know that nobody reads the longer messages so I'm keeping this short and to the point and will address issues as they are asked. Post your comments and questions here.

Im doing fine a s a doc on chimaera. Occastionally ill have sum idiot that is rude but most of the people are very nice


no revolt....yet

I was a doc for a couple weeks. I made 10 million in a month.

I can make that in 2 days, so if you are saying what a doctor makes is a ton - it isnt compared to what combat professions so with those buffs.

would love to, but some idiot doc will come along and buff so he can make some money.

agreed! i can not stand when im buffing in an area and a doc comes in with comparable (or even a little better buffs) and seels them for less. I dont set up shop when other docs are around, and I expect that others dont do it to me.

On lowca at present half the docs buff for free. Its quite nice =) So i would say "no" on the revolt. Although it would be healthy to force folks to remember how to play the game without buffs. Its quite alot more fun actually hunting without buffs (i said more fun not more safe), and medics are actually needed in groups *gasp*. hehehe...

Maybe you guys could go on strike for all NON-wooks?

i actually am for it. I am on the ghetto of servers, Gorath, buffs and/or resources are expensive to buy. Little to no respect is shown for the doctor profession there. I do all right money wise, but that is because i am a swordsman. The only thing you have to realize about this boycott is, that if we ever went through with it, how would we say no to guildies. They started me up with resources as a med all the way to master doc. I do agree with the sentiments expressed in a lot of other docs views. If this didn't make sense, blame the sensi. I do agree with stopping buffing for a week though...maybe do it with the entertainers also, who get the shaft. Meanwhile we could run around buffed and totally up our pvp rankings...lol.(just a thought) If you are even in Gorath, PST to Olec( i love chatting with other docs).

I've made plenty of credits everytime I sale them. In fact whenever I have buffed for "tips" without a set price, I make 75% more credits than when I charge up front. I get lots of respect, probably because I go out to where players are rather than wait for them to come to me.


Good old fashioned come to you doctoring pays pretty well.


There is always competition though and I think that is healthy.

hehe we was only a doc for a couple weeks so he's not saying doc is a money maker. Those other 2 weeks is when he made the bulk of his 10 million

1 day w/o buffs would make every pvp/pve'er have a freaking heart attack. . . we would be hated beyond even the devs.
