1. Free buffs.
2. Providing a much needed and much appreciated service to the gaming public.
3. Keeping even the greatest tankers alive (where would they be without us?)
4. The multi-dimesional nature of the profession - you can be a crafting doc, a combat doc, a buffing doc, or a little bit of all three mixed into one.
5. Having a hospital named after me.
6. Free buffs ON DEMAND

So true! It actually feels nice, though.
Once, someone actually called me "Dr. Lydell." Couldn't help but smile from that one.

- Saving $$ on armor for most tanking. One 80% kinetic comp, even pooly sliced and the never ending bag of stims is cheaper than not using stims but all armored up.
- Tanking. DOC/TKM and making a Dot Whore FOTM pikeman duel you for 15 minutes, absorbing/curing/healing even the 1500 health/action poison dots.
- 2800+ stim heals on self.
- Self buffs, as good as I want. Do I need 2500 or will 2250 do me fine? If 2250 dont cut it, well, damn...I'll just have to rebuff myself with 2500's
- AREA CURES!!! This is simply the most fun. I have no idea who I cure in major battles. I just know that I get poisoned/diseased a lot, and my group does too. But i hit that magic button, to cure my group, and it spreads out over other friendly groups, and cure about 20 people.
- Sacrificial rezzing. Its my job to tank, and when i screw up, and the rifleman goes down cuz ofa bad pull, taunt, whatver. It is then my job to rez at all cost, even at chance of me going down (Stun baton weilding NS's are bad for this). Many a combat fly-by rez have I done, with nasties in tow...only to get the beat down.
I know I started the post about "Why I hate Doc", but it was just to vent some and laugh at our profession. I get mad at melee stackers with their state defesnses, but there is no profession I found more enjoyable than Doc. It is simply the best and most group/social profession in the game.

I just recently found 90 use buff packs, and after just one day of being buffable, I'm in love with the profession.
I can buff myself. I can buff my friends. I and rez my friends. Too bad I can't rez myself yet, but that'll come with time. The Jedi love me for rezes. My friends love me for rezes (and I have so many more friends all of a sudden). Now I just need to get off my lazy butt and do the crafting tree. :/
