i dont see how the hell you can make pvp dmg 75% less but leave pvp heals the same this is like some huge stroke of ignorance or crappy crappy planning by the devs im sure doctors healing in pvp will be nerfed in line with dmg output

untill then enjoy your huge advantage over others it isnt the way the game was intended

sad thing is the new crafting rules for medicines have made medicines even more powerfull...it actually lowered the med use on a lot of different packs...

I don't see the problem. The side that brings healers with them to battle should win. Not to mention there is something people haven't picked up on in PvP, TACTICS!! Ok well some have learned to use them but the vast majority haven't.

Umm, how exactly would the computer tell when you are healing in PvP, versus PvE? It's easy to ascertain when you are attacking another player, and reduce the damage. But how would the computer distinguish healing another player? You might say. . . well if the player has TEF reduce the heal. Mostly this would lead to griefing. Go find a group of players who are hunting. Take a potshot at them. You've just reduced their Doctors/CM's heals.

It's kind of a tough issue. But at the same time, I kind of like the new pace of combat. Personally, I feel they should have started with a 25% decrease to PvP damage, then upped the effectiveness of Armor by 50% (for PvE too - I've always felt that for the incumbrences you incur, armor doesn't work well enough to justify it - at least not lower-level armors).

This would, basically, have decreased damage in PvP by 75%, but at the same time have it balanced by the fact that you actually have to be wearing armor to get those bonuses.

solo 5 others? Sure...if they're idiots and don't know how to get a Doc of their own...

ANY PLAYER can do the same thing with the right enhancements...

To say that Docs alone would need to be nerfed because you don't have the foresight to employ the same techniques yourself is idiotic...

So long as thereisunhealable mind damage, medics/docs/chs will be very vulnerable to BHs/Riflemen/CHs.

I expect we'll probably see some kind of change, but I don't think it will exactly be a nerf. Part of the problem, pre-nerf, was that damage happened SO FAST that doc heal's didn't mean much. Now Doc heals actually have a big impact on PvP. PvP is supposed to be about tactics, and about the group you have. If you are dueling one-on-one against a Doc, use something like knockdown (really knockdown is a little too powerful still in this regard), or aspecial that attacks the mind-pool. In a group setting, try to figure out who the doc is and take the doc out first - if you don't the doc will just revive teammates after you DB them anyhow lol.

For Docs, the real limiter on battle is mind. We consume mind to heal ourselves, and there exist several classes that can inflict mind damage. I personally am of the opinion that Docs SHOULD be harder to kill than most classes, because they are gonna get picked on the most, certainly. Actually, I think they should give Docs a resist to knockdown (not a total resist mind you, just enough to avoid the scenario of being CONSTANTLY knocked down).

doctors are not all that powerful in pvp right now...u can knock them down and they are basically Sh*t out of luck...

thats the only way i ever get killed as a CM when someone gets LOS and close enough to me to KD me...

people will figured this out soon...right now people are still in the pre patch mind set in main ways and spamming stopping shot or flameshot rather than using KDs to effectively stop them from healing...

and yes mind damage right now is out of control..i am using non LOS single target mind posions for 500+ damage every 8 sec...my aoe version does 320 ish...
