I just wanted to come here and apologize to the Doctor community for the way you get treated by the combat players. This may not apply to all of you, just as it does not apply to all combat players. But, I have seen more abuse and pestering of Docs than I can handle recently. Buff lines have become a constant "Are we there yet?,are we there yet?" scene. I honestly dont know how you put up with it. It chaps me, and Im just an observer. Anyway, just to let you guys know, at least one combat player out there respects what you do and is willing to wait quietly until it's my turn for service.

Thanks Morvo.
I get tired of people constantly asking, "Who's next?" "how many more til my turn?" "Can I be next?"
BTW, i'm on Naritus too, lemme know if you need some buffs.

I just made novice doc last night and as soon as I did I was getting tells every sec asking me to buff. One guy started spamming me with tells after I told him I was not able to buff yet saying that I was lying and all doc novice or master can buff.

I too, thank you for the services you choose to provide, and always being polite to me. I try to help you when I can, and you've been very generous to me in return. Twice I've been buffed for free because I've saved a Doc's butt in combat or gave him a battery when he needed it.

Hehe thank you so much for the encouraging words. It is comments like these that make being a doc well worth it. I have had some people defend me or shut up someone who was bashing on me, and in general I will give them free or reduced price buffs. What irks me the most is getting 20 tells from the same person asking what spot they are in line, i generally lower em one spot after the 10th tell, and keep lowering em for each tell after that.

It is nice to know that other people out there have a respect for the Docs in this game except my guild mates and other docs.

And this is just one of the reasons I no longer buff the public, I buff friends and people helping me and my group with whatever!

Yeah there's always ppl who are sending you tells, asking you some questions. I can tell you that. I became master doc for about 2 mounths now, before i had combat proffs. When i made my first public buff i was just going crazy in a 'tell hell' and big que. Only then i understood why docs did'nt all the time answer my questions when i was waiting for buff.
Public buffing is good money BUT - it's nervs, nervs and nervs. Have you ever lose a connection while having a que of 10 ppl - i never new such words about myself
anyway doc remains person who bring so good things to community.
After all these things i gave up public buffing now i'm working on making the best buff i can. Kind of science research and crafting.. no nerves, no pain

Thanks for your kind words!!! I got my tag about 10 days ago and have buffed in public 3 times mainly to cover the cost of the buffs I use for my guild mates and to buy those things I really don't need. Last night was crazy for me. 8:00pm or so and I was going to sit down and buff for a hour topay for this Geo Pistol I wanted. Well I soon found out that Imust have been the only doctor on our server buffing my que when to 20 deep realfast and the tells started flying. I didn't even put my tag on, I was still wearing the Trickshot tag. I ended up buffingfor almost 3 hours until another doctor showed up, and eased my pain.WhenI finished I had gone troughalmost all my buffs, bivoli and my batteries and my droid was flashing low power. I offered anyone in line a free buff forsome halva so I could clear the cue andno one had any at all, so they waited and the great part is that they all werepleasant andonly a couple times did peopleask for the order. I shouted the order every 5 buffs or so and told them who was nextin line. The people in the line started replying to spatial requests from other players for me so that I could concentrate on the task at hand. It was very nerve racking since I didn't want to miss anyone or mess up anyones buff since they sat in line so long.
Moral of the story - Most people are kind, it just seems that sometimes you run into a few that aren't. I did almost a hundred buffs last night and not one complaint to really mention. I even had some repeat buffs last night since it seemed that the beasts out there we more aggressive than usual.
So I thank all the kind combat professionals out there that understand how tell hell can get.

I think this is a combiniation of ignorance and suspicion. Some players don't know what it takes to be able to buff well enough to be considered a "good buff" other think your hiding behind a novice title to avoid being pestered. When I made novice I ran into the same thing. People pestered me for buffs and even pestered me for desease healing (which at novice is obviously imposible).
Fact is many doctors do hide behind their many other titles to avoid such pestering. My advise is if you see someone you know is a doctor but has some other title over their heads, LEAVE THEM ALONE!! There's probably a good reason they're not advertising that they're a doctor and sending them pestering tells isn't gonna get you that buff your looking for. I haven't had this experience yet but I know I'd be tempted to black list them if anyone harrased me for a buff and I wasn't selling at the time.

The biggest problem I've run into as a Doc was when I was trying to master fencer. They would hunt me down no matter where I was. lol Once people know you're a Doc it never ends. For the most part I don't mind it. It only gets bad when people get demanding, rude, and when those who know you forget that those buffs cost you. Then again I don't do public buffs anymore. That was just too much for me. Too many tells. Too much fighting about who was where in line. Thank you to those who appreciate and respect what we do.

Indeed, thanks for the kind words. Too few come in here to say that. After a few weeks of being one of thefew Docs doing buffs at Coro starport last Fall, I almost lost my mind. These days, it's even worse, it seems, but at least I'm out of that game.
Unfortunately, despite not having my Doc tag up these days, lots of players still know I'm a Doc and I get /tells constantly while doing missions. I will offer my services to rez group members, but I don't do buffs while hunting the elusive Janta Blood...

With regard to the rude and arrogant people Idid do this.... carry around a set of substandard buffs that I made on purpose, and one super buff pack with the best resources I can find but low time it's quite a challenge actually
When I get a prat, or PVP as I like to call them, I just give them the crap buff. When they complain I'm usually on the next customer so I get the customer to tell prat what buffs he's getting. Leaves them confused and angry and often a duel offer. Most hilarious.
But for the most part, even when swamped people are good natured. The few who were prats seem to be a dying breed now... well, I never see them
