I tell you what I think it is funny. People cry all day about doctors being greedy and charginf too much for buffs. I find it ridiculous the prices artisans try and charge for their resources. THIS is what people do not realize in the game. Vendors try and charge 10-20 credits per single unit for any resource over oq 900 and try and charge over 30-40 credits per unit for scouted material. Everyone gets rich off doctors buying supplies but NO one wants to pay prices to let doctors make a true profit. A profit over 100% cost ( double your money) where vendors are making 300% profit or nore. GEEZ. Well, this was my rant. Tell me what you think. If any vendors out there are FAIR in their prices, send me and e-mail in game on intrrepid server, I am looking for supplies. Thanks.

i dont see a problem with buff prices. On my server, buffs go for 10-15k (2.3-2.5buff) and people can make a million on 1 buff hunting jantas.

I am almost in favor of increasing buff prices since everyone seem to make so much on being buffed. Ingrateful patients indeed.

But one has to consider the new players too I guess. And PvP.

New players don't really need Buffs to kill off nunas in the first place.

Pvpers KNOW they will not get money off pvping and thats their choice and non of my bizness.

There are new players and there are old players with new characters.

I can most definetly say I have never attacked a Nuna.

I started my character, got the CDEF exp, got all my droid quest money and starter bike then got a speed sliced weapon and searched for a doc so I could EXP off red con mobs.

So I can not pay 15k for a buff at this present time. I can pay 10k. I will usually tell the doctor I am new and can only afford 10k, usually they will buff me.

Once I get a few more skills I will be able to go to the higher mission payouts.

But there are newbies who have figured out how to play swg and that red cons mean nothing.

I avoid the whole "You charge to much doc!" Issue.. I am a guild doctor. You not in the guild don't bother asking. And I do if for free. How? Simple. I make my real money off buffing myself and using theTKM side of my toon to solo Jantas/mokk's.. Guild members often bring me resources as a form of payment.. It works out we for everyone.. Well everyone in my guild lol. Let the ingrates not of the guild fend for themselfs.. Pifff...

someday people will realize it's insanely cheap to harvest your own resources. that makes all the difference on profit margin. the formula to determin how much it costs to pull resources from the ground is ber*60*% of resource = hourly total of resources pulled. multiply by 24 (give or take for server downtime) and divide by your maintenance rate. for example.

a ber 10 on a 65% spot with a maint rate of 60

10 * 60 *0.65 * 24= 9360 units pulled for the day.

you paid 1440 credits for maint. (we'll say you harvest your own power)

1440 / 9360 = (rounded up) 0.16 credits per unit or 6.5 units per credit spent.

as for the meat, well, you can master doctor and one combat prof with enough skill points left over to toggle from scout to artisan as needed, and get paid from the mission terminal to harvest your own meat, so that really isn't hurting the profit margin either.

if you can't raise your price to make more cash, maybe lowering your expenses will help.

Or you can just buy them from a vendor and /pricegouge

i couldn't agree more mate 5 star

if u sell avian meat for 300 cpu then dont get surprised when u gotta pay 15k for a buff. i dont make my own buffs, but i know why i gotta pay as much as i do.

noone would be able to hunt without a good buff. we also need a good droid, BE clothes and the food. i use 24.8 bivioli and brandy.

on eclipse most buff for 10k at 2.3k-2.6k. some are charging 11k to 15k, but that seems a lil greedy at times. they just want to make money off ppl who dont

wanna stay in line. but thats none of my biz.

I have thought long and hard about this and I am very pissed off...

On eclipse its really hard to find people that appreciate 2600+ buffs... I charge 10k now but am seriously thinking of going higher.

This is how I see it , if I raise my buff price to lets say 15k no one comes to my line , well only a few serious players that dont mind and know they can pay it off with profit after one mok/janta.....

I buff mostly at Dant MOP and well lets be honest most people are there for the convienient 27-32k (even more) Mokk/Janta missions, wich in the time of there buff make at least 500k-1.5 mil credits (depends how fast they are).

That IS pretty damned funny. I wonder if he's carrying around a laptop in one hand, holding a mop in the other, taking swings at his furniture at home while doing missions. I think that in order to play this game, WE'RE ALL SITTING!
