Is this legal?! Docs are now saying its 30k extra to skip to top of the line. It took me 1.2 HOURS to get a buff yesterday because so many people just came up and skipped in line. Something needs to be done abou this soon.

From a monetary point of view, 30k equals a Janta mission on Dantooine, so that's 3 minutes? 4 minutes out of a total of 3.30 hrs?

The market we have is offer and demand. This means the doc can pretty much charge as much as he wants and set the ruleset as he pleases. If you don't like the offer, don't buy.

That's great!

Yes, it's legle, I've sold 50k buffs because someone just wanted them RIGHT NOW and the only line was about 40 peeps long.

LOL

If a Doc is offering a premium service and you don't take advantage of it, too bad.

Either pay the premium, wait in line or go to another Doc.

If it makes you happy, this Doc's "Premium" service is my base service. So be happy you got a cheap buff.

I'd submit a ticket. Stupid doctors and their overcharging. I mean, c'mon, all doctors are rich (or so I've been told)

I don't understand...what is the point of having a line if you let people cut it all the time?

Maybe we should just start buffing people in the order of how much they pay... highest payment goes first, and so forth...

/sarcasm off

yeah I stoped using all docs that allowed the line skip....unless they havla buff the skippers.I'd rather spend 3k in travel and 20 minutes on shuttle trips visiting a buff bot then encourage this activity. I decided to try a couple new profs andactually adjusted my character to 0440 doc for the time so I can avoid even seeing this new trend. I don't like getting low opinions of people I don't know from watching their actions but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth everytime I see it.

I have no problem paying 30k for a buff if that is the annouced price but standing in line for that long then getting near the front only to see 4 people get buffed before you gets quite frustrating. I have even offered free havla to one of the docs but it was refused. Using Havla would fill some of the stomach and probably in the long run reduce the time spent buffing but it seams like a fair tradeoff to those standing in line.

If you are in this game to get rich then as some of you like to point out Janta Missions do it faster.

If you want to charge 30k or even 50k for a buff then by all means do it. You'll get the business if it's there to get. There have been several times in the game that I would have paid 50k for a buff. Annoucing a buff price then saying if you want faster service pay me more and screw those that gothere first means I'm off to an afk doc to get mine.

I'd rather stand in line with a honest afk doc (since he has no choice but to buff whoever he is grouped with) and receive a lesser quality buff then give you another credit.

I'm sorry, but a lot of the replies to this post is why many doctors have a bad image as it is. Yes resources for buffs are expensive, but this has nothing to do with that. This case involves someone who couldn't afford to pay for "premium" (lol) service. No matter how you look at it, this guy had to wait an hour for a simple buff because the doctor was being greedy. That's not cool, if people don't want to wait in my line, they are free to go to another doctor, but don't just let everyone with a few more credits cut in front of those who don't have as much.

Unfortunate as it is that you were disssapointed about this behaviour, doctors are allowed to do as they please with their own bussiness. But if you really were willing to wait the 1 and a half hours to get that buff, I dare say you would have paid 30k extra to get it in 2 minutes. And yes, it is legal as almost anything is.

I agree. Respect the sanctity of the line... otherwise we might as well have Buff Auctions. HIGHEST BIDDER GOES FIRST!!

It comes down to this. Line skipping is greedy but the doctor obviously had a monopoly at that spot at that time. This mimics the real world perfectly...if there is no competition then the price can skyrocket to get the servcie. The doctor is clearly taking advantage of a situation in his/her favor...he/she has allocated their skill points in a way that is valued by others. They can either pick up the same skills, or be at the mercy of the doctor. If you decide not to do that then you have to accept that sometimes there will be a monopoly on the service you're requesting.

Edit: I feed on one stars, keep them coming. If you're going to cry about capatalism then you shouldn't play a game with an player run economy. In an economy with a shortage of services, if you don't take advantage of it then there will be someone else who will.
