I have seen a lot of different droids in the game, heard a lot of - and + on each. But would like to use this board for Doctors will knowledge on this subject please list your feeling. It would help those starting in the profession, and engineers to support the medical profession on each galaxy.

My Doctor on Shadowfire is called Osio. Thank you for your support on this. It is a lot more informational if you can send someone to the board then having to write during the game. And they can get a range of information from a lot of different Doctors.

Not sure what you are looking for but I can't survive without my R2 with Chem Craft, storage module and medical chip lvl 6 (110).

I just wish he could have data storage and also I wish i could customize his color.

The type of droid makes no difference, R2, R5, 3PO, there all the same.

It just matters what med module they have installed.

Honestly one droid is as good as another in terms of core doctor needs - Med 6and Food/Chem Crafting. Both of those could fit in an Advanced Mouse Droid. Beyond that it's a concern of aesthetics and added functionality. =)

Some docs like the same two modules in a Surgical Droid simply because it "fits" the profession. Some people like the Astromechs (R2/3/4/5). Some people like the same two modules in a Probot with armor so you can bring it alongduring hunting(it can't do much damage but it'll stand up to damage pretty well).

Beyond those two core modules you can get a Repair Module (allows you to repair the HA wounds on other droids), Item Storage (up to 10 items at L6 which supposedly *don't* need to be insured, though that makes no difference now) and Data Storage (up to 150 items at L6, though that's pretty useless now because all you can store in them is schematics). The better advanced Astromechs give you the most flexibility - 5 modules in the ADV R2, six in the ADV R3.

Ihave a loadedR3 which has Med 6, Food/Chem Crafting, Repair, Item 6 (Item 4 doubled up since resources are missing), Data 5 (missing resources for Data 6) and Armor 6. Maybe overkill, but all I could ever really need as far as droids stand now. I stick extra crates in the droid's Item Storage, and hopefully I'll be able to stick waypoints in its datapad soon. =)

is it true that only surgical droids can heal wounds in the field? or can a R2 droid with the medical modual installed heal droids.

For now *any* droid with a Med 6 module is the same as any other. The Surgical Droid is bugged and doesn't do anything special right now.

If it was working as intended, the Surgical Droidwould have a built-in Med 6 module (it wouldn't have to be added by the DE) and supposedly alsoprovide slow AoE healing. It does neither at the moment.

A Surgical Droid with Med 6 is the same as a R2 with Med 6 is the same as a Probot with Med 6 at this point in time in terms of allowing you to heal in the field.

If you putmultiple Item-6 modules in a droid, will you get more storage space?

Nope. Modules stack, but only up to the max. I.e. you can use two lower level medical, armor storage or data modules to reach the equivalent of a Level 6. A lot of novice DEs do this since they can't make the advanced yet, and a lot of Masters do this two as some of theexotic resources required for Level 6 modules are rare or non-existant on some servers.

Max Medical = 110
Max Data = 150
Max Items = 10
Max Armor = Medium, 40% Resists

WEll as far as the type there are differences. Some will allow more modules. Thats the basic difference.

For example the r2 has three, the r2 advanced has 5, the r3 advanced has 6 I think.

I personally have an R2 advanced with

item storage mod, 20 Items.(nice for holding emergency Items, IE pistol, crafting tools, BEC,LS,CRDM,OR INORG)

Data Storage Mod. (110 Items) Not really goo for anything. I stored pets in it for a while, but they fixed that, now I don't know what I would use it for.

Armor Module( makes it a little more durable)

Med 6 mod (110 medical use bonus)

Food chem crafting tool. Works the same as personal crafting station

I user an advanced probot for field work on the medium difficulty planets. I can keep it out all the time safely and I can use to get a critter to stop fighting me if one chooses me over my pet.

I use an R5 unit for in town when I want to look less warlike.

Doc shorts has a 2-1B with a +114 on it, and I have not seen a 3PO yet or do not know if I seen one.

It seems shortly that the DEV's will fix the 2-1B to do field work. So if the 2-1B does not work fully now, and its does the same as the R3 advance, would it not be better to get a 2-1B instead?

Now I will admit that I do not really know, first Medical Toon in this game that I had made. I am looking for good advice from those who have played a Doctor. Lets face it; there are many people who do not read the boards, and try not to play their profession to the best with research. I like to listen to people who do their research and strive to be a better player. What I have heard in the game, and what I am reading on this board is support that the boards are more sound and solid advice.
