There's a few questions that have been nagging at me ever since I learned of Jedi Permadeath. And it still nags me to this day even with the new plan of having Jedi lose skills on death as a replacement for the Permadeath idea.
Those questions are simply, will a Doctors /revive ability allow a Jedi to keep their hard earned skills? Will the skill loss be upon death or upon cloning for a Jedi?
I've asked before with no answer and I understand that the Devs are being as tight-lipped as ever about Jedi, but with the arrival of Jedi on the live servers it's time these questions were answered.
It would probably require a form of TEF for the Doctor providing the Revive towards anyone and everyone(since, I believe, Jedi are PvP to everyone) but those details can be discussed later.
I just want to know if by some stretch of the imagination and a lot of luck one of my PA Mates attains an FSCS, would I be able to help them...even just a little bit?
Anyone else wonder this as well?

Good question, Ide like to know also.
IMO, there is no way ull be able to revive a jedi because that is what makes being a jedi so hard. If this was true and I was a jedi....when I died i wouldnt clone and ask a doctor friend to run out and revive me. I would never lose any of my allowed deaths and therefor would master Jedi in much less time. Even if there was a TEF for the doc who revived him. He can always /quit and play 6 hrs later and get revived then.

Supposedly Jedi get five Deaths/Clones. If that counter gets decremented when they die then it doesn't matter if they clone or revive, they died its already too late. I would think that the counter gets updated only when you clone.
With the timer on revive as it is (I'm assuming that will stay, but you never know) unless that doctor is attached to the Jedi then you can't rely on him getting to you in time. You also have to take into account that not all doctors will be sympathetic to Jedi, there are a lot of people saying they want to hunt Jedi we can't assume all Doctors will be freinds of Jedi. Add on to that the Jedi TEF, can't imagine anyone being a fan of the idea of everyone able to target you.
Until one of the Jedi tests out the the Revive versus death/clone we'll probably ever know. I really hope revives will save the Jedi a death since their road is hard enough as is.

The Devs know the answer to this, it's a simple matter of checking the code to see if skill-loss occurs on Death or on Cloning. Wether or not they can or will share that information with us is another matter altogether

I can't even get a response on if Buffs dropping on Res is a bug or a stealth nerf. Somehow I get the feeling thatanything with the word Jedi in it is likely to get even less attention. We'll see.

Apoligizing in advance, this is somewhat of a rant.
Maybe I'm just too cynical about things, I've only been with the game since release didn't even beta test it but I'm not about to rely on the Devs giving us that sort of information. Hell we can't even count on them to supply all the changes with the patches. I always was upset reading Zarlors checklists that Zarlor learned about many of hte fixes after playing the game. Nothing in the patch notes and nothing told to the correspondant even though the community was screaming to get some word from the Devs.
And this is regarding to the Jedi, the Devs never said anything except "you can be Jedi" so finding out about limitations and whatnot. Yeah right. We'll be figuring this out on our own as well.

Woah there Vodo, calm down. I've ranted more then you know about all the issues and lack of response we've ever gotten to anything we've ever put forth, but there is a process in place(The Corre System) which is what we are supposed to use for issues such as this.
And yes, I know Z isn't too happy about the current state of that system, but I'm trying to work within the system for a change instead of ranting.
Believe me, I can start another 20 page rantfest against the Devs on the Discussion Board, but the fact remains that it doesn't help us in any way.
But...if all else fails...I reserve the right to rant like a madman

I warned you it was a rant, I know it wasn't what you were expecting in a response, but I'm in a poor mood today so its gonna carry through in my posts, and I do apoligize for that you guys don't deserve it. The boss gets mad if I correctly direct my anger at the malcontents (customers) I deal with all the time.
As far as Jedi goes, whether the revive works for them or not we are still going to be their best frend. A good set of buffs will go a long way to keep them alive , then a good medic will increase the odds of survival. I imagine most Jedi will try to get some medics as close friends so they don't have to spend their days fighting nuna's and worrts for XP.
Since Force Sensitive characters lack the ability to dabble at all, from what I've read they can only be a Jedi they can't even purchase Stim B's like everyone else to keep them going in the tough fights.

Don't give it up Z...
I'd have to reccomend Texxie, then they'd have to buy asbestos undies!
I'd be willing to bet that Jedi can be revived safely (that's what revive is for after all), AND that buffs dropping on incap. is a bug. There is no reason to change it, exploit etc. from keeping buffs. At least not one that I have heard of.
Jedi apparently have a healing power... but all their powers get them a TEF, so it is not always the best choice.

Oh, I'm not giving it up yet. Jut hanging around to see how it works out with TH and what he can get running. Heck we've been lucky to get word one from our Dev in week, and that was only an aoutorization to post stuff that I had asked about 5 days before that. I'm starting to wonder if we are really worth the bother for him.
