Don't see how anyone can answer that considering we don't have any details yet on how JTL works or how it will integrate with the current game.

In this game there are some constants. Those being that if you PVE or PVP you'll always need armor, weapons, and meds. After the combat balance buffs and meds will be even more in demand. I wouldn't worry too much about business.

I dont see how people hopping into a starfighter will help us Docs.
Only those on the planet surface needsa Doctor.

Well, if nothing else, all us Docs who have most of our skillpoints tied up can hop into a ship for free (skillpoint wise) and get in on the action when we feel like it.
I suspect that JTL may change business some, but the combat balance (and likely buff revamp) will change things even more. We'll adapt. I would just be a little cautious about sinking all your credits into a business which may have a limited lifespan. If you make all your money selling buffs, and have stocked up on pricy supplies to do so, you might want to make an effort to make your profit now, while the market is still good.

If I remember correctly, I believe that when your ship is destroyed that you end up at the nearest cloning facility wounded to a certain extent. *Pictures waiting in hospital after a large space battle and people popping in with half black bars* Imagine the possibilities :-)

heh I suspect doctors will be ruling the skies right after publish.....its going to be all about who can afford the best ships right out of the gate
sure, established 12pt AS/WS/chefs can make more money than us, but buffing doc is up there for pure profitability. Need an extra 100k for ship repairs? Why just pull out your droid and buff for 30 mins, you got your repair costs covered and you're back in the skies =)

well you are seriously overlooking the cash cowing of a combat prof. I am mdoc/mswords and i use my packs on me. The I go turbo kill janta/mokk lairs without fighting the mobs. i make 1.6 mil a set of buffs, um...in 3 hours to make that i would need 5 sets of packs (retail value 750k) and in 3 hours you cant do 150 buffs (not enough clients with competeing docs, plus add food needs, drink needs, and droid battery recharge time) and even if you could do em, youd only make 750k whereas, with one of 30 charges on my buff pack sets, i can make that 1.6 mil with no outrageous costs.......so in my eyes the swordsmen, tkm, fencers, carbineers, commandos, and mbh's who know what they are about and can do lairs fast are just as likely to have a good ship as a buff doc, if not more.....10k in for 1.6 mil out is a great profit....
