Thread: My first buff complaint!!! *YEAH!!!*

I'm so happy, I got my first complaint about my buffs! I'm not even a master doc yet!
I was giving FREE buffs (Using C packs, because that was the highest I could you) to get XP and to test things out. I was happily giving noobs at Mos Eisley a bit more power (Heck, 600 points helps kill worrts a little faster) when someone comes up and says: Gimme. Ok, its easy XP so I start the buff macro I worked on, 150 seconds later, he tells back "UR Buffs sux, I'm not tipin" I had to laugh at him becuase I was spamming FREE BEGINNER BUFFS.
Man, I can't wait till I hit master doc so I can get abused by more people like this.

At least you got a taste of it early on. Just remember to get the money up front if you're going to buff the public.
Don't you just love complaints for free things though? Probably just a kid anyway.

When you get master doc make a bunch of buff A's and advertise buffs for 10k a buff and once they pay buff them with the **edit** buffs and see how mad they get

yup, welcome my first complaint was i was telling people my buffs hit for about 2300-2500 and it hit for 2315 and he got all mad saying the buffs suck.... and i also laughed and said "i cant guarentee good buffs"

lol the other day i was buffing with my 2428 buffs and someone asked me what the stats were, i told them 2428 and i was told they were crap! lol

The worst thing thats happened to me so far is someone called me rude just because i had my master doctor title on and i wasnt buffing.

Hehe, this is all too familiar. I too give out free buffs (READ: crappy) but advertise them heavily as crappy buffs. I had someone say, Man these buffs suck! I had to point out you get what you pay for.

Just had to say this somewhere, because I know you all will understand 
After 2.5 months with the title, I'll be droppingMaster Doc today.
And there will be no more running from planet to planet to find resources. No more six-hour timesinks havesting herb a/oavian meat. No more having stim-B's demanded from me by med-grinders who will drop medic/doc two seconds after they master.
No more feeling like a packhorse. No more having to pay for 4 houses and 2 factories. No more combat grinding with endless interruptions. No more /tell hell.
No more pondering what's wrong with me for choosing to deal with unspeakably rude people rather than to kill Mokks/Jantas, loot shiny things, and make obscene amounts of credits.
OMG I might actually be able to play this game!
I'll be dropping with no remorse, other than being unable to buff certain favorite players. And myself, of course. But I know where Coronet and Dant MO are, and you can be sure I'll never cop an attitude with a doc.
So thank you, Docs, for doing what you do. There ARE people who appreciateyou, and who sympathize. Just unfortunate that the majority of that type have to be former doctors themselves.
Here's wishing you a decent Class 4 spawn...

Sorry to see you leave the profession. I just made novice doc yesterday and already the buff tells have started. I like the healing aspect of being a Doctor. I don't see myself sitting at the starport for hours at a time being a buff machine. Though I may do it occasionally to raise cash. I worked for a week in the Theed Med Center getting through medic and found most patients are really appreciative of the heals. I found out why when I went to Coronet to get BE clothes yesterday. I stopped in to the med center to see if someone was there healing. Figured I'd stay for a bit and see if any patients came in. There were a couple of medics and a novice doc healing a tumbler. I figured they had everything covered so I left to head bad to Theed. Guy runs in on my way out, and asks for a heal. They told him sorry we don't have wound packs. I was like you can't be serious. I ran back (fighting the lag the whole way) and healed him. Told him to come to Theed if needed healing I'm usually at or around the med center. Another guy came into get healed said he was happy to see a Doc that was actually healing patients and not a tumbler. Ended up getting a 30K tip from him.
So I'm really sorry to see real Docs give up cause thats one more Doc gone while 10 more tumbling healing Docs are being added on every minute with new need to grind for force XP. *sigh*

I've gotten buff complaints as well. I took a year hiatus from Galaxies, having never seen a buff. I come back two weeks ago and decide to finish up mastering doctor.
I do, and I'm estatic. I'm a master doctor. Didn't macro out any of the XP, played it like the devs wanted etc. I had never buffed nor been buffed to this point. I make out all of the buff packs and head to Theed to recoup a little lost cash. I'm the only doc on hand buffing and I get a line of five pretty quick. Everyone is real nice about it, and I even had a dancer give me some brandy to help speed along my buffing.
Finally the last guy in line gets to me and tips his 11k. (I went with that because that is what I saw them going for elsewhere). When I hit him with the first buff he starts bitching about how my buffs suck and he's used to getting 2800 buffs. I finish up buffing him and tip him back 5k to try and make him happy, but still he runs around complaining about how my buffs suck and he's going to hit the boards.
I wish I had the foresight to take down his name so I wouldn't buff him again.

Seriously, I have been working on a doc myself, did a little tumbling here and there, but most of my medical xp, i got from runing around in coronet healing all the entertainers who didnt seem to have action buffs going. anyways......
Anyways, it has been my ideal to serve my community, to make great stims, wound packs and buffs, as well as using those buffs on people at very great deals. I had planed on 10k for buffs + disease and resist buffs, selling advanced B stimms at 400-500 creds and the such. Anyways from all that I hear here on the boards, (as well as the shaft that got shuved up the docs with the new FS system on crafting), I'm left thinking to myself, "do I dare continue to master this profession, or should I just make that Carbineer Bounty Hunter weidling a EE3 carb i have been obsessing over and perhaps go and work torwards obtaining jedi with him". Well its looking bad for the Master Doctor/Master Bio-Engy (or perhaps Combat Medic) and more towards the BH. Are the stories I hear as bad as they seem, or is it just seem that way ? Oh well, maybe I should just see for myself, anyways toodles..
