Thread: What do you charge for Buffs?
Im just curious what you guys are charging ive seen people charging up to 2.5k per stat but this is my method:
1 cred per point you enhance so if you enhance all 6 stats for 1k then you get 6k
When I first crafted D buffs I'd charge 5k and no one would buy them. Then I lowered my price to 2k for entire 6 stat set, knowing full well I'd still be making a nice profit... and suddenly I'm swamped w/ clients. And hardly anyone pays the 2k. I'll get between 2k-16k for a full set of buffs. And lots of times it's people doing pvp and not more than 5mins later they want more buffs, and pay again. I make more money off buffing than selling stims. Ask little, provide good service and great product, and you'll earn a fat wallet and goodreferrals easily.

You people are very lucky that you get the money you ask for, I'm on the wonderhome server and spend a lot of time in Anchorhead. Well anyway, I usually advertise that I will buff a person for 500 credits a stat, so 500 for health 500 for action etc.
When I said this i got a flood of messages telling me to go f-myself or to go poundsand or whatever, saying that it was rediculous to charge 500 credits for one buff. I know this is a little bit of venting but anyway an enhance action D that gives you 2000 action is well worth 500 credits and a enhance health D that gives you +1500 health is well worth the 500 credits as well.
It is a shame that I can't seem to make money...oh well

**edit**...that is a shame. I can say that most people on Lowca don't seem to have that problem. Once I was even given 3K a stat for all 6 stats (18K). Normally I buff for a stat for 1K to 1.5K depending onwhen the last time I got Avian meat was. I was running low on buffs and didn't really want to buff and he doubled my price. A couple of the buffs ended up being crappy so I did a partial refund (I think I gave him 2K back) and we both walked away very happy.

This is exactly why I left the medical profession after earning the Master Surgeon level (4/4/3/2 doc). I was so sick and tired of spending all sorts of time crafting only to be stiffed by someone wanting me to heal 500 H/A damage then only tipping me 50 credits. So, chaged policies to charge in advance for larger heals. The ppl that knew my skills would pay, no problems, no questions. When at this level, I wasable to heal 250+ per click and my record was 365 wound damage healingfor 1 click. So it's really a matter of time....what is your time playing the game worth??? You want tospend it waiting for a novice medic to heal you....fine.
But, while I'm trying to explain why I'm now charging for massive wound heals,I'm getting flame telled and argued with in chat by all the other ppl that think docs should heal for med xp only. Well....fine.....you have argued another doctor out of the profession for good....I don't play a game to argue with ppl all the time. I set my rates....you don't like them....fine....np....you will heal overtime if you sit in the hospital long enough or find someone willing to heal you for the med xp.....afterall I did my share of that. But no more.......
Then again I was on Endor late at night so people can get desperate.
