Wow... I thought that *I* was lazy! Best prof for getting afk xp is merchant - which is convertable into senses(?), I belive. Doesn't accrue very fast, and the conversion rate isn't very desirable, but hey... you don't even have to write a macro!!

/say I'm sorry, %TT, but your Imperial HMO does not cover wound treatments with a Battle Fatigue over 500. Please see an entertainer to receive treatment.

Huh?? What's Battle Fatigue?!

Its cause of this crap that our profession has been ruined. No there is no way to gain afk XP. Stop being so lazy it is VERY easy to gain med xp in a hunt. All you have to do is *gasp* heal your group members . Just play the game. If you want to get XP for doing nothing pick up merchant.

I'm with the anti-AFKers... Get off your arse and play the game. If you can't be arsed to press a few buttons, run around having a good time and keeping your group up and running, you picked the wrong profession and probably the wrong game.

With a conversion ratio of 10:1 rather than 30:1 for weapons med xp is very nice. Our cap is now the same as weapons.

My advice for village grinding is to go out in a group and heal. Then when you cap start shooting with your weapon of choice. Then cycle threw all of the weapons so that you cap on each of them. Then go back to the village and unload.

Exactly. Heal, not shoot (or swing).

In Phase 4 of the Village last run, I had one battle where I capped Med XP ( 1.2M ) in less than a single battle... under 45 mins. If you're in a group that takes damage, and you can (1) stay alive and (2) resist from using other weapons, adventuring with groups allows the XP to roll in at insane rates.

And while Med XP can be gained AFK, it cannot be done without risk. Or without a group. At least not that I know. I do highly recommend Bacta Spray for any XP-wanting medical professional, though. Much less difficult to deal with than constantly targeting and retargeting, running to and fro across the battlefield.

I don't think it is possible anymore... but why would you even consider this? You get exp just as fast as acombat profession. Is it that hard to do the village nowadays?

Another really good way to get doctor xp is the area grind method. Basically you have a swordman / pikeman tanking and doing area attacks / taunts and the doctor heals him. It's really fast but dangerous and can go out of control quickly if the tank can't produce enough threat.

It can be hard to group At times. I live in EST time zone 5 hours behind my server. I have problems grouping in the Early Evening for me because it's late at night there. But What I do is I group with a factional pet (Rebel Trooper.) I basically Let rhe tropper do all the Shotting and I keep hitting him with heal as he does cleans house. If he runs into trouble. I Fire a shot or 2 shots for support then back to heals. I can make decent Medical XP. and earn some faction points. It's not a perfect solution. Grouping with a hunting group if far more effective, but healing your faction pet can keep you making medical xp during off hours.
