Hello,

I am a resource provider on Bria... some would say i am THE resource provider on Bria. I host the site www.nickschale.us/hound (clicky in sig).

If you could take a quick second to look what i have done on the minerals tab in introducing the formula for architects. This was a test to see how it would look. It is really the only formula I am 100% certain on and am pleased with the results.

I would like to do the same for all the professions. Though I cannot list formulas for ever (would like to have the chart fit on a 1028x768 screen) I would like to have at least a couple formulas from the key professions.

So what i ask for your 'votes' (for lack of a better word) I would like to see your two TOP formulas. What would be helpful to see in a chart like mine. To use the arch formula as an example, here is what a post would read:

"Hound - This formula is a must for Archs. HR+SR+UT+UT... and it has to be equal or greater than 3600! It is used on d$mn near all structure creations. [then insert a second choice] [then maybe any comments]"

Clear as mud ?

It is my goal to continue to growby helping my customers more every day

Hey Hound

I am a Buffpack supplier provider on Bria... some would say i am THE buffpack provider on Bria. LOL

...just joking you. you want a formulas for all component ressources, just harvestable ones?

Cheers

Lol heya Jirob! When you going to send me some Chocolate!

Well first thing that comes to mind for docs is Class IV... what is the formula for that? OQ+PE?? things like that, Also dont leave out creature resources.

But as far as components... not... yet

Nic,

If I understand your question you want to know the most common formula important for doc resources.

For a large majority of resources the important formula is OQ (66%), PE (33%).

UT and DR are also important, but only for a few specific resources like reactive gas, tatooine fiberplastand avian meat. How important UT and DR are is complex and depends on the desired result as well as OQ and PE.

I guess another part of the question would be... on which kind of resources...

Im assuming gas and chem for Docs... so what i would do is a formula like this

on the Chem page. New coloum. =(OQ x 0.66) + (PE x .33) Correct? and if it is higher than what number to have it highlighted?

also i would do this for the chem page and gas... flora? creature? minerals?

What would be the mathmatical formula for UT and DR on r.gas/tat. fiber/avian meat?

Here are the resource comparison formulas that I use for all of the component/buff resources:

Tatooine Fiberplast: OQ + UT

Lokian Wild Wheat: OQ

Dolovite Iron: OQ

Domesticated Oats: OQ + PE

Class 4 Liquid Petro Chemical: OQ + (PE/2)

Herbivore Meat: OQ + (PE/2)

Dantooine Berries: OQ + PE

Talusian Water: OQ

Reactive Gas: OQ (DR matters to duration)

Avian Meat: OQ + PE (DR matters to duration)

Although I mention that DR matters to duration on reactive gas and avian meat, I will usually use any avian that has high OQ+PE regardless of the DR. That's just my personal choice...

Hope that helps. Note that some of the above weight OQ and PE equally even thoguh the schematic indicates OQ66 PE33. That is because the resource it is combined with has no PE (i.e. Tat Fiber/Lok Wheat (UT), Dol Iron/Dom Oats, Dant Berries/Talus Water, reactive gas/avian meat).

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

Awesome thats what im looking for.

Lokian Wild Wheat: OQ

Dolovite Iron: OQ

Talusian Water: OQ

Reactive Gas: OQ (DR matters to duration)

These wont have any formulas because, well there is none. BUT! these are good to know, and I have all 900+ stats highlighted on my sheets so that it is easy to find

GREAT INPUT!

Ok expets take a look and tell me what you think,

DO i need to add/subtract some formulas?

Also what do the formulas need to = for me to highlight them, i.e. if it is equal to or greater than XXX then it will be BOLD and BLUE

Thanks for your input guys.

I think that it is going to be a bit too complicated for you to implement a threshold for a certain number. Docs are a picky bunch and in many recipes there are planet specific resources involved.

Rather than a threshold it is a matter of how good that particular resource is compared to what has spawned in the past and what is available.

Examples of the problem with a single set formula.

Dantooine Berries - 66% OQ/ 33% PE. Let's say that combined this formula yeilds 800. Those are great berries. However, whether they will be in demand depends on what is available and how much better or worse it is.

General Organics - 66% OQ/ 33% PE. Because these can be any organic it isn't too difficult to find stuffabove 900 and >950 shouldn't be too hard too find.

Tatooine Fiberplast - OQ and UT. UT determines the number of charges and is most important so it would be best to set this resource formula at 100% UT. If two spawns have comparable UT then the OQ would be a factor.

Reactive Gas - OQ > 900. After that the DR is a factor but may not be as important since it determines duration ratherthan buff power. You can't really make a pat formula from the two numbers. If you had 930OQ/800DR gas and 995OQ/250DR gas it would be a tough choice which to use.

Lok Wild Wheat - OQ 66%/ PE 33% - threshold depends on what has spawned in the past. On my server this has never been great and stuff above 700 would be acceptable.

Good Luck in your efforts. It would be best if you could let your shopper choose a particular formula and set the threshold themselves.

I was wondering why you have so many resources in large quantities that are of such low quality that they would be of little or no use to most crafters? Don't you select the best resources to collect at any given time?

I think this might be what your looking for:

On my server, I tell people to offer Avian Meat to my vendor for 150 cpu if the OQ + PE is greater than 1725 (this will make me a 885+ power buff pack).

Reactive Gas would have to be higher than 950 OQ for me to buy. The best spawn on server is 1000 OQ 996 DR so I don't really bother buying any more gas.

But as the guys above me said, the other components can get tricky since some docs prefer more charges (UT + OQ) and some prefer power (OQ + PE) and then you would also have to weight them accordingly.
