Thread: Question about +injury and +wound treatment

Okay, I had a friendly tailor make me a suit of clothes yesterday and put a whole bunch of bio enhanced tissues in them to make them each between +15 and +25 injury/wound treatment. 4 pieces of clothing total. I shirt with +15, one pants with +25, one hat with +25, and one duster with +25. The total for the whole outfit is +80 injury/wound treatment. The tailor gladly gave me EXACTLY what I asked for.

I think I may have made a mistake after reading some posts here. I have read several post indicating that the max bonus attainable is +25 injury/wound treatment.

What is the skinny on how this works exactly? Did I rip myself off? The tailor actually gave me a REALLY good deal on it. Another thing to note is when I look at my skill mod it says +100/+180. This doesn't make sence to me. It seems like if I were really getting the bonus it should say +180/100.

I buffed him after the transaction and my buffs were MUCH WORSE than they usually are and he had NO BF.

Any ideas on what might be happening?

Thanks,

The most you can get from any BE cloth or skill tap is +25. Your stats say 180, but its really only 125.

Great idea for the hat, forgot about those.. I have a full outfit that does the same for me. My buffs hit very well now. But I also have a droid and make sure it is charged with 3 batterries when I start to buff. The clothes have helped me and i even get additional tips to my base charges due to hitting for 3k at times on a stat. How well you hit for is based on the random algorithm that the buffs operate from.. the reality is that you will at times only hit for the base of the buff (examine your pack).. can't be helped.

I wear a Bio Vest, Hat, Shirt and Pants and can notice the difference when I dont have them on when I buff. The clothing helps out in there somewhere, I can sure notice the difference and my regulars also notice it.

Buffing is a strange system indeed.. I would have to say the logic behind it is fuzzy at best..

Hopefully when I get some better materials to make some better packs it won't be such a big deal.

Ioo an you share where you get your information from? I for one can tell a DRAMATIC difference between wearing just a single +25 item vs wear my whole +80 suit. So I would be intrested in where you get your information.

Direct from the Devs. The system will only recognize a total of +25. They have acknowledged there is a UI bug which will display on your skill sheet a greater than +25 bonus, however they have confirmed that the system itself will only recognize up to +25 in skill modifiers.

Take a look at the Complete List of Doctor Issues thread, at the Skill Enhancement Concerns Issue to see the Dev response I passed on.

This has been a confirmed situation for quite some time now. Any "dramatic" improvments you are seeing wiht a +80 suit is strictly a statistical anomoly in action (or it's psychosomatic. )

I cannotfind the post this dev posted doing a search for his name. All I see is a summary of the post written by you. Personally I dont think the dev's know how 1/2 the stuff in this game works. Ill do some parsing with a +25 suit and compare it to the logs I have with my +80 suit. Might be that +25 is the intended max but I feel fairly confident, from wearing a +55 suit for 2 months and upgrading to a +80 recently, that this is not the case. I would like some hard numbers on this, not some dev's comment. Any other parses done comparing? Im searching dont see anything yet.

That's because the Dev told us on the Correspondent forum. You won't find the post. So in this instance my word is pretty much getting word stright from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

iIt is +current mod then +25.

If you only have +75, your max is +100 with the clothes.

This keeps you from getting 1 box in a skill and getting +100 worth of clothes to be = to a master.

According to other posts by Zarlor, the dev response is +25 cap.

Zarlor, in case you're still reading this thread... So does that mean that at most you can wear +25 of one modifier, or that you can wear enough clothing to get yourself to 125 (and everything about 125 doesn't matter).

So, if someone was new, and had only 20 injury treatment through learned skills, could they get to 100 by wearing the clothes that were described (being +80 in the example used), or would 45 be that person's current modified level (because the most you can ever get from enhanced clothing is +25)?
