Thread: 30k of the best Avian Meat of your server for 0 cpu!

Yes that's possible, if they don't change the current TC-system of veteran rewards: You can select 30k of any existing resource in the history of your server if you have been playing SWG for at least 6 months.
For a big buffpack seller 30k is maybe not much, but just imagine the possibilities to pay 150 cpu (for the best Avian ever!) to some people dont know what to do with their reward. Finaly there are even much people with more than 1 Account...
I feel like that's the 3rd stage of the "economical revamp" (After the "Save-the-Jantas" campaign and the Krayt/POI-spawn-crazyness). What do you think will happen?

"Any existing resource" means any resource spawning at the time, not any resource that ever spawned. Chalandryll clarified that.
As to the economic impact, I really don't think it'll be much. Some people will pick the fighter replica or YT1300 funiture and even those who take the 30k stack, can only do so once.

Make a char on TC-Bria and test it yourself. I just got 30k of Doseadeap (checked swgcraft.com) 973 OQ 936 PE, 430 days old. :-)

You should /bug that, as it's not the way it was intended to work. You might want to first check that the resource table in effect on TC-Bria doesn't include that meat.

Reports on TC-Bria are that you can get old resources so either the system was changed or Calandryl was misinformed or it is bugged.
Though it would be tempting to use such a windfall on avian meat, I would save it until after the combat revamp. Armor and other items may change as to what is most valuable. Gases are hard to come by these days and you never know what old resources are going to be in demand in the future.
Without a doubt this will have an interesting effect on the resource economy.

I tested it myself on TC, and was able to choose from any resource, not just those in spawn. I also reported it as a bug.

Well, the price of Buffs should go down significantly, Imagine, everyone in your guild getting you 30k of the best meat on your server, thats could be millions of units of extremely HQ meat!

can it only used once per account, or once per server?
could people trade there 30k block on one server for someone elses 30k block on their server

Wow, this could get way out of control, it will be possible for people to have Millions upon millions of units of Avian (all non crafters will do avian meats) and if you can do it on every character per account, there will be so many cross server trades.
What I am wondering, will this lower the cost of buffs? Or will this just mean a larger profit margin? That will probably be a server by server sort of deal, but the problem is if the price of buffs drops lower than the money gained from the avian, the profit margin will plummit, and there will be a flood of New Buff Pack Vendors, and because the demand for buffs will largely remain constant, on a doc to doc basis, we will be selling less and less due to the many new vendors popping up....
Or maybe it will just mean that the rich get richer and will buy up all the avian? Who knows!?!?!
I don't know whether I am excited for this, or scared.

from what i believe/understand/figure out, you can only receive your vet rewards on one server, per account..

I tried this on TC-Bria. You can get any resource past or present but its only once per account and you are warned about this before you choose the reward. There won't be any cross server avian meat trades.
