Anybody ever group all the docs together and start charging 25k for every doc in the starport

I don't starport buff but i wouldn't blame the docs for doing it considering some of the $#!& that docs quite often have to put up with.

It would be more hassle then it's worth. All the crap that starport buffers have to deal with already will increase as price rates increase. In the eyes of those receiving the buff, there'd be nothing new that would warrant the price hike. Finally, you'd have doctor after doctor undercutting your prices to get business, no matter if it's a doctor selling for less because that's what he/she sells the buffs for, or one that knows that by undercutting the 25k price, they just generate more business.

Bill Gates wouldn't do what you suggested earlier. Bill Gates would run around with 50 billion credits trying to buy every buff in existence, then sell them at 25k a piece. You're asking for a collusion amongst all doctors to have a set price of 25k a piece. It'd be more like saying "ever heard of OPEC" if anything.

My feels are, and have always been charge what you want, not what the community is use to. For instance if I get caught buffing my guild and people see that (I'm not searchable so), then depending on how many people ask I may buff a few, and let them just tip whatever.
However if people see me with my MD title, but I'm not buffing anyone, and still ask, its 50k straight up, and it goes up 50k every time they argue about my price. Heck one guy got up to 200k and he was like fine just buff me please. That was a good day for me, so I sat down in CNet after that and started charging 75k for a buff. I don't have the resources to make a bazillion buffs, so I'm gonna get my moneys worth.
So yeah charge what you want, just because the "Standard" is 12-15k doesn't mean you have to follow that. I never do and still have a fairly large customer base.

And to add a geek spin, what the OP was describing wasn't a monopoly, but was in fact an oligopoly.
Well you're not wrong.
