Hello,

I was curious how much or if at all the power of a cure status pack (be it poison, disease, stun, blind, fire, etc) comes into play when curing those effects? Which easily translates into do I need to go find good resources for crafting those packs in order to be able to cure reliably?

Many thanks,

nova

On all cure packs, I have never needed more than one dose to cure anything. I use decent supplies to make mine, since I don't gather any poor quality stuff.

Poison/Disease - Yes, strength can make a difference when battling Combat Medic poisons. NPC poisons are generally weak enough to stop with one application, but if your up against top notch CM poison, it might take 2 or even 3 applications of a cure to get rid of it.

Stun, Blind, Dizzy, Int, etc... - No strength doesnt matter on these cures. One application will cure the state.

I've found that when I made a cure disease on the fly, without experimentation or advanced components, I had to apply 2x to get rid of mantigrue screecher disease. If I use non-advanced but experimented components, and experiment on the final product, a cure disease A is sufficient for one-dose cure of screecher disease.

Cure State packs, at least as far as I've experimented with, power doesn't matter. I had a friend drop continuous intimidates on me for 2 min straight, and one crappy little Cure Intimidate cleared it right away.

As for poison/disease, that's another story. I have a CM friend. After a bit of checking, we found her a way to drop poisons at 1/sec. It's not an exploit, it's in game and working as intended. It's not pretty, at least for the enemy. As Docs, I'm sure you know of how this was done, or can figure it out, we'd just rather not give the info freely to those that don't know

From what we've found, a quick 6 second bomb (single and area across all 3 primaries), with a 544 strength cure poison pack, it took 2 cures. With a 379 poison cure pack, it took 3. So now we're working on making the strongest poison/disease cure packs we can. I hate CMs.

Hey Nova!!

personally, I go for charges all the way when I make a state-pack

as far as I've seen, power means nothing in curing states - always works with one stick

and aradz is right about the poison/disease cures... CM's are a pain in the arse, and sometimes it takes 2-3 sticks with a cure poison/disease to work with the new insect meats and venoms out there

Radiant CM's are nasty... and the Rifleman/CM "aka Battlestopper" build is still supreme in PvP until something drastic happens

I offer 638 power Cure Poison C's and 370 power Cure Disease C's in my shop, to combat the PvP'ing CM's on my server. Both Janta Enhanced, of course.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I'll have to start looking for some good flowers to put in my poison/disease cures. They are all poor quality right now so I am going to have to go do the embarassing:

Whats the range all about on state cures? I just crafted some for the first time last night and Range came up to 15, and I was unable to expirement on it. I assume this extends the healing distance on these packs to 15m.? Also is 15m good?

I currently sell some 550 cure poison and 277 cure disease packs, made with decent resources, not exceptionnal ones. It's enough to heal in one cure most of the high CM poisons and diseases (my best poisons are 550 and my best diseases 330, to compare, and that's withthe bestspider venom I could find - which is very rare).
