I'm a master doc/master rifleman and I'll never give up this template. Never. I love it.

Works great, especially after the recent boost to healing power.
If you can spare some skill points get Pistoleer 0004 for a root attack on top of that

I'll chime in too as I'm also a Master Rifleman/Doc. Great stuff! Blast things from /cover and when they get too close, you have your healing to support you while you peck away at them! Not to mention an Adrenaline Boost whenever you want one... just spiffy!

it is one of the best PvE templates i've ever played. not a big PvPer, but i hear anything with doc is at the very least decent...

but here's another point no one has brought up: the big problem with rifles is they are slooooow... but if you are mdoc/mrifles... you have adrenal boost on your tool bar all the time. so while everyone else complains the speed buff doesn't last long enough, you my friend will have it on demand 24/7, and a rifleman with a speed buff is a force to be reckoned with

I had a mDoc mRifles until the respec period, where i did some experimenting. Then i tried my current, and permanent, template: mRifles mCM doc 0004

All the benefits of doc -state heals, plus all of CM.

Better heals than doc

All the doc buffs (but for the master health buff, completely unnecessary)

All the CM and Doc heal abilities

All the CM abilities

Basically i like it because its better than having just master of either, and you get everything from both professions thats worth having

Just a few extra skill points, but if youre doing a rifles/doc template, you're pretty much out of sp to do anything useful anyway.

Not to mention it is pretty incredible in PvP!

Thought i'd throw in my thoughts,

Really.... You can get better heals from a CM without the 4/0/0/0 line of Doc which has healing efficiency modifiers and more heals? If that information is correct, then it just seems... wrong for Doctors

It's true... from a particular point of view. From the Bloodfin calculator:

MCM / Doc ---4 has a healing efficiency of 110
MD (only) has a healing efficiency of 105

Of course, the first template uses 169 skill points, and the latter uses 106 skill points. So you're not comparing apples to apples. A fairer comparison is:

MD / CM -4-- ( or any branch but 4--- ), which has a healing efficiency of 115, and uses 169 skill poitns ( like the MCM template listed above ).

Of course, a better choice if you're aiming for healing is taking the healing efficiency branch of the other. So, same settings,

MCM/Doc 4--- : healing efficiency +155, 169 skill points
MDoc/CM 4--- : healing efficiency +165, 169 skill points

As you can see, in a similar-type build, the healing efficiency of a Doc is slightly superior to that of a CM.

Just for fun,

CM 4--- / Doc 4--- / MMedic : healing efficiency +160, only 146 skill points.

So, for fewer skill points, a Master Medic *can* heal more efficiently than a MCM/Doc 4--- and only slightly less than MDoc/CM 4---.

Yes, I'm aware I'm only comparing healing efficiency, not the basic vs. improved vs. advanced abilities ( e.g. bacta Jab ), but just having a little fun with numbers.

indeed, healing efficiency isn't as good as it can possibly get with the template i listed, but with your max efficiency templates you lose quite a lot of usefull abilities
