You need to have a Food/Chemical crafting tool and the4 required resources:

  • 1x Alderaan Flora

  • 25x Radioactive

  • 75x Metal

  • 100x Water

NOTE: A generic crafting tool won't work. You have to have a specialized crafting tool for the Dead Eye Prototype.

Master Doctor's will be able to make the best Dead Eye prototypes because the experimentation drawsfrom the MedicalExperimentation skill. Because of this, I guess it's possible that you have to be at least Novice Medic in order to make the item, but I'm really not sure about that.

What is this potion? And where do you get the schematic?

The Dead Eye Prototype is a 2 charge booster shot that give you a bonus to accuracy (both melee and ranged). Depending on the degree to which the prototype is experimented, you can get over 50% increase to accuracy. I forget how long it lasts.

To get the schematic, you need to talk to a REBEL recruiter and requisition the schematic. It will cost you 500 faction points. Imperials don't get the schematic. The schematic is good for 10 uses only.

One of the ingredients for the schematic is Alderaan flora, which is something you getduring the Rebel side of the COA3 missions.

You can also do the mission for flora as many times as you want, according to the coordinator.

Nope don't need to be novice medic to make it.. I can make them just fine. With prety good resources I got a 1 charge 39% prototype.. which doesn't sound too far off from what It's reported here from fully experimented ones. I got 1 point to experiment too for some odd reason.

It's only 10 uses from your crafting tool, but you can make schematics and do factory runs. But reports are wide that it's bugged an actually reduces your accuracy not increases it.. so YMMV.

I got 2 charges and 50% power.

I used the best materials including Erco (steel)

999 oq water etc...

As you are experimenting it wont show you the charge increase, you just have to believe you are getting charges out of your experimentation.

I personally would try and get past 2 charges and leave the effectiveness down near 40% as opposed to the 50% I got.

I say that because the schematic is limited (and it's a pain to get flora)

So more uses are more important, IMHO.

Anyone know if Alderaan Flora is being sold anywhere? ( I know about the mission aquirement)

Oh and I got it up to a little over 13 minutes...

I was actually surprised to see the duration actually listed in minutes instead of having to figure out how long 9412s is... lol i hate that.

I have gotten my dead eye up to 4 charges with 41%.

Anyone know if the formula is working yet so I can use it?

In experimenting, you have to pick uses or effectiveness...I think if I did it again, I woudl spend more on charges, b/c the flowers are so hard to get. They start around 30% ish without any experimentation for one use.

Interestingly I've seen people calling this a spice, so perhaps smugglers can also experiment it as well as we docs can...no idea...

supposedly it was fixed the last patch...but I still haven't tried to use it....just never had enough situations where i felt accuracy would make a big difference to me.
