Thread: My Problem list With Doctor/CM

Well having been a Master in each for a couple of weeks now and seeing a lot of the bugs, problems, broken functions of each, I wanted to share my views on what needs to be fixed. Keeping in mind(no pun intended...ill get to that later..) a lot of the things im addressing are with a hunting group.


Listed in the order of my personal view of being the worst bugs:


Doctor:


Mind wounds- *pulls the dead horse out yet again* My god do something with this..if you dont have someone to heal this while hunting you may as well forget it. I dont care who..let CMs do it if you dont want Doctors do it...Getting very tired of people with full health/action dieing in 10 secs due to mind wounds that you can do nothing about. Which leads me into my next point...


Res Packs: Great idea..great implementation...now fix the regen afterwards. Nothing like ressing a fellow Doc only to have him be useless as his mind wont regen..Or that brawler that cant regen.


Combat bug: When im in a group and healing, if i get attacked and i hit peace that means umm lemme see, im not fighting???? If im being attacked and im low on mind and want to sit down to regen mind faster then let me darn it!!!! Let the brawlers/pets/Martha Stewart fight while i do what im trained to do.


Buffs: So i buff a person in a med center with a full range of buffs..they jump on a shuttle...poof!!!! No buffs. O wait...whats this? I cant rebuff as it says they already have an enhancement to this attribute!! Hmmm Could have fooled me when he died in 1 hit...Ok maybe now i can buff him since he died..Whats this? I still cant buff him? Can you say pull hair out? Please fix this as im running out of hair rapidly...


Ham Bars: All i can say is ...


Factory Crates/Factories: Egads...Im getting bugged crates on my house floor that i cannot pick up(getting tired of this one when your on your last batch and its sitting on the floor unable to be used..), factory crates in my inventorythat i try and get an item from that says 20, click on it, says 19, then boing...back to 20.., bugged crates when you try and createend user items from a factory etc etcetc......


Amount healed/buffed: Alright..ive tried every way possible to get more consistent results(and yes ive tried everything)..when i action buff one person for 2208 and the next person for 428 something is wrong...very wrong...Same thing with heals.


Ooooook nuff about the Doc side onto Combat medic!


Ranged Stimpack E: Woot i really want to use 13 Chemical Dispersion mechanisms to Make a Ranged Stim E!!!! Puff Puff "PASS" ....You guys are forgetting the "Pass"....


Area Stimpacks: When i click on one...I heal someone thats not even around me and noone else! I was starting to think that they had no sense of humour too....


Poison/Disease: great Idea! They are effective enough to kill small microbes and possibly a dwarf Nuna...That is if the Nuna stops laughing at you long enough to actually land on him...after 15 tries!



Yes I know I am being a tad Sarcastic on some of these...Its just frustrating as all heck to be paying now for something that I seem to have so many problems with. Im just covering the ones that directly Impact on my abilities. Im not inviting a flame war here. Im saying these are my views...and mine alone! Just Hope that someone will come here and post that yes...All of these issues are being worked on..

sad thing is he wasnt joking about the dots...


its really sad...makes me wanna cry...


not to mention its takes almost 10 secs to apply a posion in the first place... in which time u cant heal or attack...


what other elite class would tolerate an ability that missed 70% of the time, was slow as heck, and did so little damage that it couldnt kill a diseased nuna in 1 hit

Has anyone gotten up a CM on the Test Server yet? The patch notes suggested that some of these things were fixed, like the DoT effectiveness issues. I was just wondering if anyone has had a chance to see if that effectiveness bump really was a decent enough bump.

You know what has the same problem with fail rate/time? bio engineers....not only that, but the huge mind blow you get. then you have to regen after 4 tries (it takes forever)

I usually dont post on the boards as you can see by my uber post count, but i felt I needed to bring the issues that affect me and probably others out. I know just by reading some of these posts it seems as if there are quite a bit of other bugs/fixes needed.


The Comment about the dwarf nuna was dead true..I did 15 applications of mind poison B..Last one hit..I didnt even see any damage..Nuna finally keeled over frommultiple ruptured organs as a direct result of insecent Laughter...

from what i read of the current notes on testserver, i dont think they touched dots yet..all they did was remove durability...


funny thing is was durability actually did something on CMs packs..so now im all confused....

I could have sworn I saw it somewher, but it's not uder the Medic section notes, at least (which is where they ended up putting Doc and CM issues as well as just the Medic ones.) I did see this, though:


"Experimentation on the duration of damage over time and Enhancement medicines is now done through experimental effectiveness."


So I guess that answers your other question. At any rate I'll see about sifting through those notes again to see if I can find the other CM stuff.

Found it. CM DID get their own section, you lucky dogs.


Combat Medic
Reworked the way area healing and area damage over time medicines function. They should be much more reliable now and they shouldn't use a charge for each target affected.
Fixed a problem with area stimpacks requiring Medicine Use. They should require Combat Medicine Use. This fix only affects newly crafted stimpacks, so old ones will still require Medicine Use.
Fixed a problem where the Combat Medic's effectiveness skill mod was not properly increasing the power of medicines that do damage over time..

those are proposed changes and havent made it to test server yet...there are different notes on what changed have been added to testserver already...there wasa big testserver DL yesterday...


also it only talks about AOE dots...im worried they are gonna leave single dots alone

You know...On the dev board theres one thing i do not see...That would be any fixes in the works for Doctors..
