How would you run a shop when you dont have any skill points to spend on artisan skills? Hiring people is not easy, so I hope your guild members like helping.

In answer to your question, however you do it, yes it can be very profitable. Good luck

depends on a lot of things. I almost exclusively deal in resources, so I'm not the best person to ask. Last time I checked, 2 crates took about 3-5 hours to make, so I'd wager at least 4 factories running 24/7 to make the components to sell and/or the meds that need components. Anybody here sell meds that could give a more accurate answer?

It used to be fairly profitable.

Demand has dropped off alot over the last few weeks. If your going to do it, the best sellers are enhanced b's.

I have all but stopped selling meds. I used to make a factory run of 100 and put them on the bazzar 25 at a time and they sold fairly well. But I gave up survey skills and I don't have reliable meens to get resourses, si now I stockpile, and make meds for my self and if people ask. Since I am working up the CH tree to I do alot of missions and I make more money that way.

I find it extremely profitable, but it's very hard. I do most of my business by justselling individual b's on avendor with worldwideadvertising, and these go pretty quickly. If you sell on the advanced planets you can probably sell faster and for higher prices.

If you're going for all advanced components, you're looking at having harvestors on at least 4 planets plus constantly keeping your eye out for meat (which could be very expensive).

Or, you could shoot lower than some on this thread. You don't need to become a factory slave to make money, either. If you're happy "only" having a bank balance in the 6 figures instead of 7. I run 1 factory. That's all I'll run. I may not always have crates in stock, but I can always have singles of the highest quality stuff. I don't go to 4 planets everyday to harvest. I usually plop my available harvesters down on 1 resource at a time. Last week it was dolovite iron, this week it's Tatooine Fiberplast. I can buy the rest. And still make money. Just maybe not at the rate to become a multi-millionaire.

Although, really, what is there to do with that kind of money in this game?

It's a hectic business, but it's very profitable (in my opinion, anyway). I started early (before I even had Organic Chem 4) and started by selling on the bazaar. Master doctor, 1 shop, and 3 factories later, I have over 1 million credits in liquid assets, not to mention all of my capital (a bunch of heavy harvesters and 3 factories). So, yes, there's money in it.

But, like I said, it's a hectic business. The best sellers are advanced B's, which has already been mentioned. To make those, you're going to need resources on at least 4 planets, if not more. That leads to a lot of shuttling around. I think you'll also find that 1 factory just isn't enough. You'll spend all of your time running subcomponents and no time running stims to sell.

But, if you make yourself some contacts, you can do very well in this business. You may want to make some contacts from whom you can buy resources. For example, I have one gentleman from whom I buy all of my Lokian Wild Wheat. Also, if you'd rather not deal with the resources, you might want to find someone that sells crates of subcomponents. You can then use those to make your own stims. Find some others that are in the business with whom you can share information. There are a bunch of us on Flurry that send emails back and forth letting each other know about resources changes. Also, who's going to sell these things? You? I did that for a while, but I was spending all of my time managing my store and didn't have enough time to do anything else. Now, I have a working relationship with a couple folks that sell my products all over the galaxy, which is something that I never could have done on my own. My products are now available on 4 planets rather than just my one shop.

My only advice is to try not to do it all alone. It's a lot of work.

generally I've found very nice business on dathomir, where I have a factory and I run a bunch of personal harvesters. This only allows me to make the basic components, but its more then enough for good stim b's. I've been selling stim'bs at one at a time, and many of my customers want to buy bulk, so I'm on my first major (1000 stim'b) order, which should be done shortly. I plan to break those crates down and put them on the bazaar and sell them direct. I'm hoping for a nice profit, but we'll see. Good money so far though. In the beginning you'll have to supplement by selling excess resources.

I just got in the selling of meds this week and I can already seeing profits taking a big turn with the price of meats being so outrageous. I've spent over a week looking for herb/avian meat and whenever I find some one selling another doctor has beat me to it and has paid 20-30cr per unit. No way I can compete with that If you have people that can supply you with resources at a steady rate you can make a profit.

We've made some very good money. But we werevery lucky to get a really good spot very close to the Imperial Outposton Dantooineto set up our shop. We don't have to advertise, and are not even on the planetary map. Wedo put an add on the local bazaar though. People running missions just stumble across our shop and stop to buy medsand powerups(part artisan). We started with a small house and 1 vendor and 1 factory. Now we have a medium house, 6 vendors, and 4 factories (3 food, 1 equip). Werarely do custom orders as my stims are bought up so fast, wecan barely keep up.

We do our own harvesting for the most part. But, I try to keep our harvesting to 2 planets at a time(one of which is Dantooine). We have several large harvestorsof all types and just plop as many of them depending on the resource shift. For example, somevery nice OQ>900 lok wheatpopped. We dropped 4 large harvestorsand grabbed over 200k of the stuff. While there we also harvested other good quality resources. Now we don't have to go back to Lok for a while. It also helps that I'm a bh and can havest herbivore meat if needed...still it is our toughest resource to gather.

The only tough part forus was starting out. We did harvest about 2 weeks before we started our store. But I really think the reason for our success is our location.

We chose to go into medsbecause it is an item that is used up fairly quickly. That is also the reason we addedweapon powerups. We've been open for about a month and a half. Selling meds can be a very valid and profitable business.

Is it profitable? yes, more people buy stimp than any other disposable stuff.

Would you make LOT of money doing it? probably not. The price is pretty much fixed per serverwide. And the fact that 2-3 doctor can basically supply everyone in the server if he really wanted to crank em out and there are more doctor/CM than you can shake your stick at, it isn't a BIG money maker.

But you'll make steady profit as long as you keep at it and turn out fair quality stuff ar good price.

If you have another account, expand your items. offer both doctor and Combat Medic stuff. Lot of CM I know spend more time in field than at home checking up on their harvester or cranking out good stimps, so just have your second account go CM like I did and crank out both. I think soon my profit from CM sale would surpass Doctor stimp, even Stimp-B. And don't feel bad about charging arm and leg for CM stuff. they make credit hand over fist from mission so they don't blink their eye when you ask 1k for ranged stimps, and if you can make good poison/disease by crate, it is much more profitable than even enhanced-D

Another good thing to sell is food.

There are a few differentNiche markets for people to get into when it comes to selling Medical supplies.

1) The Stim-B makers. These are the folks walking around town yelling that they are selling crates of stim-b's. This makes up about 90% of the medical market right now.

2) Sub Component suppliers. People that sell crated sub componenets to other doctors. Simple, easy and if you have 3-4 factories and the rest in Harvester, you can crank out supplies to meet demand. Hard part isqueuing up buyers. Once you have the buyers, you pretty much have an endless supply of extra money.

3) Custom Order crafters. People that started at #2, but progressed to making Stim-C, D and E's for others on request. Eventually they end up with a large solid repeat customer base that the step out of the B Market.

4) The Big Guns. The folks that are taking the time to get the best of everything. These are normally people that got fed up with #2 and wanted a more interactive role. These are the people setting up camps on the advanced planets selling single Stim-B's with 40 uses and 425+ power for 2k a pop. These are also the folks that are there offering Full rounds of Enhance-D buffs that push the 2k mark for the enhancements. They take the time to get the best possible components and they hoard them like King Midas. =)

Right now I'm in between 2 and 3. I'm cranking out B's as fast as I can, but I'm taking more and more custom orders as time goes on. I don't think I sold more then 10 Stim B crates this week, but I sold a heck of a lot of D's and C's.
