just a quick lil idea, but maybe docs and combat medics could get "medical kits" crafted for them, (like crafters aprons) and they could put all there med stuff in there so it wouldn't count as invintory space.

I would welcome this. Before I was a Doc, I thought it was bad. I carry eight rifles (one of each damage type plus an extra of my most used two so that I can switch to a backup when my powerup expires while fighting). Before dropping Swordsman and Brawlerfor Doc, I also carried a PH, a Scythe, a 2H Curved sword, and a few other brawler weapons. Add to that a crate or two of each type of power up I needed, as well as a few out in case one expired during a fight. Add to that Brandy, canapes, and miscellaneous other items including clothes and armor, and it was tough keeping inventory space free. But that was small time inventory managment compared to what I need to carry as a doc, even with 5 droids all with storage modules.

Change the fact that you cannot take something out of a factory crate while in combat, and I might not see a need for this, but untill then, this is definitely needed.

You think your out of space? Try being a Doctor AND a Weaponsmith. My entire house consists of 2 Crafting Stations and 3 backpacks filled with resources and components. Thats not even including the stuff I stashed in my friends basement.... maybe I ought to tell him about that stuff.

Inventory managment is just another facet of the game.. It can be tough at times, and with all my meds for both Doc and CM I usually have about 10 spaces left over.. and that is with 4 storage droids...

You just have to figure out ways to make it all work unfortunatly..

Well doctors do have it worst than others.

What would do it and what has not had any eal oposition is to have combined wound kits that would heal like all health stats, action stats etc. We would just need to carry less in that case.

I have 4 storage droids also but still with what you have to keep handy you are full all the time unless you don't carry armor lol

How about a Medical Revolver?

In this case, you'd have a revolver that is basically a 6-shooter pistol. You can put up to 6 medical items in it (buff/stim/wound packs) and then equip it in your hand like a weapon. When it equiped in your hand, storage counts like a pack and doesn't hit against your main inventory. When unequiped, it again would work like a pack and in this case, hit against your main inventory. Maybe the gun can be crafted by weaponsmiths and experimented up to give the doc a small range boost or effectiveness boost, to compensate for not having a weapon in hand.

I have all kinds of inventory space issues. However, they are often a result of me failing to reorganize my inventory on a regular basis. I don't think medics should get an uber space advantage over other professions and I don't think we're really worse off than others like weaponsmiths, who also have to deal with large inventories.

I think a good solution would be to allow players to access deposite box's in more than just one city at a time, also it seems stupid that i can carry 110 items on my person and only put 150 items in my house....

Yeah, but you're a Doc/TKM. TKAs "need" 1 suit of armor, 1 weapon, melee powerups, and food/drink/spice. That's about it. And if you really want to travel light, A TKA really only needs 1 weapon. It's remarkable what meditation, powerboost, and tons of unarmed toughness will allow a TKA to do.

But I agree that inventory can be managed, even for the dual crafter. The way I deal with it on the doc/cm character is to never carry any crafting gear with me. No resources, no subcomponents, and no crafting tools. This frees up an enormous amount of space. I just need to make sure I have enough of each med I will need to use crated up at all times. If you do this, there is almost never a need to craft something on the fly.

well, first off, rumor has it that they are changing the housing storage to 75 items per lot. so that will help there.

Next, you really need to decide, before you walk out the door of your house, what your needs for that day are. Are you gonna go buff at the starport for 2 hours? or are you going to the med center to heal wounds? or are you going hunting?

I have said this before, and I'll say it again. STOP carrying things you don't need!!!!

RESOURCES: leave them at home. craft before you go out! If you prepare, you can eliminate the need to craft on the fly. This goes for your crafting tools as well. I have 4. That is 4 spaces not being taken up, +2-6 spaces for resources and components.

MEDS: Don't carry more than you need. Carry one crate of the stuff you know you will need. When PvE'ing, don't carry a fire blanket, etc. I am a MD/TKM, so while hunting I don't carry poison/disease cures. I buff my hunting party, and if someone gets poisoned/diseased I let them ride it out (no harm cause of buffs) and just heal the wounds after.

It's definitly manageable, just think ahead a little and you'll be fine.

damage is damage... so why is it that a wound is not a wound is not a wound or a state is not a state is not a state?

is there really a need for a different 'wound' pack for every stat and a different 'remove' pack for every state?

Oh don't get me wrong, I would love to have those kinds of things combined into one..

I just don't see there ever being a change in the number of inventory spots you have access to on your person

This has been MUCH easier since I learned one simple thing.... you can get items FROM your droid storage compartment WITHOUT calling the droid.

I know it's not a big deal to call the droid, wait 15 seconds, open the window, double click the item, etc. but it's SOOO much nicer to just put the item you want on your tool bar and click it once and BAM it's in inventory.

The other reason this is nice is because I carry around a vast selection of harvesters and crates of "needed items" but it's a huge pain trying to remember are the gas harvs in droid 1 or droid 3. Just put the harvesters in your toolbar and presto, no more searching through each droid trying to find the right one.
