With the Empire cracking down on sliced weapons and armor, publish 7 brings the ability for players to be able to view sliced armor and weapons to find out which items have been sliced. ffice

All my sliced items had a blurb on them indicating their "sliced" status. No more detail than that. Thanks.

very nice, maybe one day we could get a tag that lists the amount of the slice on the item, like speed/dmg %. As it stands this was a nice addition

Working fine in personal inventory, howeverthe infodoes not apear on vendersdetail windowwith sliced items... The sliced items on a vender do not show whether the item has been sliced or not...
I had to unload (withdraw sale)the item,place it in my inventory, examine it,then reoffer it back to the vender, for the item to show that it has been sliced on the vender detial window, this is a lot of work for those of us that deal in sliced items....
I've already had 2 items brought to me to be sliced where the person thought he bought unslcied items....

KStarfire brought up a very good point in IMO. The actual description states:
"Weapon Attributes: This weapon has been altered by a smuggler and may bring unwanted attentions from the Empire."
That's great, and it's clear, BUT shouldn't it have the word "Sliced" in there since that's the terminology the smugglers use to perform their work? Isn't that what the skill is actually called? I was thinking something as simple as:
"Weapon Attributes: Sliced - This weapon has been altered by a smuggler and may bring unwanted attentions from the Empire."
That was other items can be added to this "Weapon Attributes" listing at a later time AND it has the clear, known term.

It's a slang term but it could still get used in common parlance. Certianly the "authorities" would know about most smuggler terms. Do you think vice cop's don't know what the street terms for drugs, and such?

Well your thread should read slided weapons and armor.
It seems to be working great to me its nice to know if something is sliced or not when deciding if your going to buy it.

Yeah, it worked just fine. Now I need to find some Smugglers to slice some weapons for me that I thought I had sliced already.
