Its most likely a hardware problem they couldnt just reboot the server with.
its been up and down (i was on twice durring that 30 hour period) - they have been trying, but it takes time if its a hardware issue.
Remember a ways back when a bunch of "new" servers showed up on the server list for a brief period of time and everyone thought they were putting up new servers? These "dark shards" as they were explained are backup server clusters they can use when they have a hardware failure to prevent 30+ hour downtimes. I believe Sony dropped the ball with Test Center and somone should have made the call Saturday night to swap us out. Hindsight is 20/20 I know but if what they are fighting is a hardware problem...they have plenty of backup hardware on hand that could be used to swap us out. Its my feeling that Test Center isn't important to Sony and has not received the attention it should have in this case. As a "positive" suggestion I think the procedures for test center need to be looked at to react better when this kind of downtime occurs. I also am unhappy that the Chat CSRs have been told that they should provide no information or help with Test Center. The answer I received from all of them over the weekend is that the Test Center community should use the boards to get help from each other.

I agree - there should be backup hardware for TC along with the rest of the live servers. Now - we can look at this as a Test that has failed. This would most likely have been a wonderful opportunity to test their "quick hardware fix" to prevent long downtimes on live - but it didnt turn out that way.
So all we can do is be patient (as R5 sudgests) as they work to get it up and running again. Plus i am sure they would love to plop a nice AV-21 schematic and powerplant into everyone's inventory to make up for the inconvenience of the downtime ![]()
This vehicle hasnt been able to be tested fully anyways ![]()
Haha...I felt a sudden surge of patience at your AV-21 suggestion. If the AV-21 had a gun rack in it that happened to be holding one of the new disruptor rifles I would be willing to wait another 30 hours easy

lol - as Citizens of TC - were expected to put up with a lot of these inconveniences. Most of us have no problems doing so (i can be rather patient at times myself) - but there is a certain expectancy that we will be rewarded for our patience. Being able to test new features being one of them. Since the AV-21 schematic was fixed after the corvette was buffed - thats one thing we havent had a lot of chances to test out (i think maybe 5 people max on tc have one of these vehicles).
So what do you say R5? Gonna give us a chance to give us a chance to mini-stress test the AV-21's? We have tried to be good while TC was down ![]()

What patience ?
Its been down over 30 h and no word from SoE side, so please dont ask us for patience.
Yesterday was Sunday andpersonally I didn't expect to hear a word froman SOE employeeuntil today. They could probably log in to the forums on their personal computers and home and make a poststating Test Center will be down until tomorrow, but why should they when they work all week long.
I'm frusterated as well, but even developers need a little time off to catch their breath and rest up.
I had thought part of what we were supposed to do was provide information and feedback on how to improve the game? If you would rather we all sit down and shut up like good 4 year olds...how are things ever going to be improved?

Guys, we are TC players. In the installation, they warned us that downtimes and server wipes are in the job description. If you don't like it, leave test and to live.
They have absolutely no obligation to keep the server up for us. It is totally for testing's sake, so stop whining like a bunch of 4 year-olds.
