Thread: Vendor and Stockroom Issues
Some of you are having problems with disappearing items from Vendors.ffice
ffice" />
We’re looking into one of the problems right now and we’ve tracked one of them down the stockroom.
What is happening is:
- Players are putting items on a vendor for 30 days.
- When those 30 days are over, items are being returned to the stock room.
- Players “Restock” the items to put their items back up on the Vendor.
- In 7 days, the items are disappearing.
So until the next Publish (the vehicle publish), please do either of these two things to avoid lost items:
- If you re-stock your items automatically from the stockroom, pull them off your vendor manually at no later than seven (7) days.
- If you want to re-stock your items from the stock room to the vendor for thirty (30) days, then please do it manually from your inventory (that is to say, NOT using your re-stock command).
Hope this helps ![]()
Was kinda frustrating, but I got over it. Thought you should know, in case others are reporting it.
This isn't the only instance in which the problem is occouring, and it's not the only problem.
For instance, 36 hours later I'm still waiting for the cash from 3 vendor sales - totalling 100K - to show up. Or even a response to a ticket.
It's taken you guys too long to "get on top" of this issue, and telling us that you won't hotfix it and we have to wait for a publish is a slap in the face.
If combat people were randomly losing their guns you can bet it'd be hotfixed in a day.
I'm off to go empty my vendors, until you guys figure out what is really going on.
I can't afford to lose any more.

Er... but that isn't the big problem. The big problem is items put up for 30 days disappear forever after 14 days on sale. My vendors were entirely new, everything was put on them from my inventory for a 30 day sale. The vendors had never had any items on them before that, because they were new.
14 days later, everything that hadn't sold vanished.
This is the big bug that's eating items. Restocking from the stockroom just gives us a 7 day sale instead of a 30 day sale. The best advice is for people to remove everything from their vendors before the next patch. If what you're saying is also true, and items put for sale from the stockroom also vanish, it means vendors are currently unusable. Merchants need to empty their vendors now to save their remaining stock.
Thunderheart - Unless I'm completely off base, that's not even possible. It has not yet been 30 days since the 30 day vendor patch went into effect.
I agree that something along those lines is happening, but it's not possible that "30 days has been over" for anyone yet. The vendor patch came in with the city patch (if I recall correctly) and this Thursday will be the 3rd week since the city patch went live.
More data for you. After the patch went live, I pulled my items off auction (into storeroom) and tried to relist them from there. They relisted at 7 days duration.
Someone posted that, if they had previously been listed under old system, you had to remove from auction to storeroom, from storeroom to inventory and then sell again from inventory.
So, I cleared my inventory to make room and spent a good part of two hours pulling 500 to 600 items off my vendor and restocking manuall.
Yesterday I logged on to find that over 300 crates of various items (mostly powerups) had disappeared from live sales WITHOUT ever going to the stockroom. I know this because I check the stockroom daily.
So - I had stocked according to what you are now advisingto avoid losing items, and my items still disappeared.
Yeah, mine dissappeared within an hour of being on my vendor a couple weeks ago. Nothing like making your customers run 3k for for items that vanish before they get there.
CSR's have known of this for several weeks. They were able to confirm my items were there and dissappeared for me. So there is a trail here. Where does it lead? DECAY, must be decay. LOL
