I have a quick update for the FWG5, Scatter Pistol, and Launcher Pistol crates. These itemswill befixed(you can remove them from crates) when we release publish 7. For anyone with the old "pre-nerf" versions of these pistols with two power supplies, they will use the single power supply schematic when you pull them out of the crate.

What exactly does usiing the single supply schematic when pulled mean? And rocket launchers are still craftable with both power sources.

We were told the problem was that it was using the 'old' schematic to insta-craft the item when you pulled something from the crate - the schematic was no longer there, so that's where it fell over. A simple case of pointing to the 'new' schematic it would seem now?


I do not think that it will mean that the stats will decrease, as it seems highly strange for any finished product to have a concept of what went into making it (that would be really, really silly - imagine every crafted item in the game remembering everything that went into it?). I think (and hope) it's just a matter of using the schematic as a work around and applying the old numbers to it - so a pre-nerf FWG with X damage, Y speed, Z HAMs etc will come out of the crate using the post nerf schematic and apply those X, Y and Z numbers to it.


If they do come out lower, it would mean that they either removed an arbitrary number from it - or items really do keep track of every input that went into making it - in which case I'd say that THAT would be the source of DB issues.

Are the weapon stats going to change? If so this isn't a fix for something you guys intentionally screwed up, it is a way to retroactively nerf weapons that would not have needed changing if you didn't have to add superduper cool loot for the loot whores to have something to do.

Thats correct. I'm not going to guess at the stats because I have no practical experience in weaponsmithing yet and there wasn't any of these crates on TC, so there has only been internal testing.

You know, had I not already cancelled my account (come on April 5th!), this would have made me do it.


You leave in all the other "pre-nerf" guns in the game, but you fu... scuse me, screw over the crafters and people who didn't want to uncrate all their guns before you nerfed 'em? And the nerf.. lol, this was done because FWG5s were "too powerful" but then you took away ANY cert requirement on the Republic Blaster which is AP1 and comparable stats??? /eyeroll


If I could renew without paying SOE a dime, I would do it justso I couldquit again.
