don't you all see the dev team is on summer vacation. just a bunch of toddlers with a little bit of programing skills. I mean hell playing in the ocean in SD is far more important than customer service. That is until the convient time of Sept when school is back in.... cya after summer devs. enjoy your last year of highschool.
I think they've all fled to some non-extradition country in South America, wearing fake mustaches and sunglasses.

Ok. So we've been waiting a year for a Combat Balance. We've seen jedi go ahead of us on priority lists. And Smugglers still get no love. But, I have some great news....
I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurence.

Quote from TH:
The development cycle still has momentum and we still have some other important items, big and small, coming out of the pipeline. Here is what still lies ahead:
Before publish 10, we plan on launching the character transfer system In Publish 9.2 We’re publishing Wookiee armor sets #2 and #3, new crafting quests and the second swoop race Publish 9.3 will bring us the third swoop race Publish 10 will be the Jedi Trials. This will be the new gateway to the Jedi profession that will by a mysterious path to unlocking Force sensitivity. Publish 10.1 is going to bring us an exciting surprise and also a list of Correspondent requests Publish 10.2 is focused on the entertainers which features a unique new game experience where entertainers, Dancers and Musicians can perform for an NPC audience for the reward of a new song and dance.Publish 10 is slated for the end of August, but one of the reasons for these delays is to make as much room as possible for extra implementation and testing time.
My point is, we're being downgraded from 1 major publish a month, to one every couple months. And I'm ok with that, as long as we get some cool changes, ie new mounts, architecture, new types of gameplay(like the swoop race track..great idea!) etc, during that time.

I have. I've been going over the details, the history and the effect this announcement is having on the community for some time now. I've spent more than a couple of sleepless nights in the past couple of weeks thinking about this post. It's not easy for anyone involved.
Yeah, least of all those of us who have been Jerked around by your company for too god damn long. Go ahead, ban me, I could give a **edit**. ya'll ain't getting anymore of my money anyway.

BLAME THE DEVS!
No, don't blame the devs. Blame the devs for the countless bugs and shoddy QA, but don't blame them for this announcement. The developers are just code-monkey and artists, things such as this are not up to them and the sooner you realize that the sooner that you can direct your mistrust and anger toward the proper target.
Blame the suits making the decisions over at SOE for the delay of the combat balance and the decision to add more broken content to get new money from the outside instead of fixing what they already have and keeping whatever revenue they already have (had) going and lure back those that cancelled long before this announcement was made.
The sad part is that, yeah, this all will probably make them more money in the short term. As for the long haul...well, if I worked at SOE, I wouldn't plan my kids' college funds around what moneySWG will be bringing in six months from now.

um...my suggestion to everyone that isnt working on this game is this:
shut the hell up and letsony do what they need to do. if you had all shut up and not whined about your respective professions over time to begin with, things would not be that out of whack to begin with. if you dont want to play, for the love of god leave. if your subscription is paid up through december, too bad...you arent happy, you plan on leaving, get it over with so the rest of the world can focus on the future and not hundreds and thousands of posts with nothing but whining, protesting, petitions, and just general trash. if you play on bloodfin, and took part in that little show in corellia the other day, i really wish sony would just get up and permaban you. disrupting service for others because you cant get what you want doesnt solve anything, and you idiots do that in corellia so often to begin with, it can hardly be considered a protest. "hell guys, we are pissed! lets protest this...lets do what we did 6 days ago in corellia!!!!"
get a grip on yourself kids.
have a great day !

As for the number of subscriptions, this link below goes to a page with at least indicative data on numbers of subscribers to MMO's. SWGhardly broke the 300K mark and went downhill in January. From my experience, it hasn't gotten any better, except for maybe the last month with summer vacations starting. Don't be so sure about the number of subscribers. I would not be surprised if they are dropping towards the breakeven point.
