ok, nice TH. A tip for ya TH, when we CHs give the Q for next week, please don't give the 'wait for the combat revamp' explaination, we are all tired of hearing that.

I'm also glad that you posted the answers, those on the CH boards were beginning to think you weren't gonna start it back up/

Thanks for the report! Sounds as if most people's questions have been answered pretty well.

So, in short, we hear you but don't expect anything for the next 8 months or so. This is probably the most dissapointing dev post I have read in a long time. I like what I hear most of the time.

LOL, I mean, I have been here DAILY, 40+ hours a week SINCE LAUNCH, and I have only seen one person wearing RIS armor and it was the helmet only.

How long to they think we are willing to play this game to get to the payoffs?

Side note: I have seen more AV-21 Landspeeders than I have RIS armored players, my point is, AV's are not as common as I feared they would be, so I believe the commonality of RIS and AV's should be similar.

I fear that the Mandalorian armor and BH armor will be very common, but we will see...

Disappointed in comparison to the other answers, some things that make absolutely no sense and a lot more "maybe later" responses.

Quote from TH:

Because the various changes since launch, it certainly doesn’t seem that RIS is epic armor, but after the combat balance, all of these details will make more sense.

Translation: We are nerfing the hell out of all of your armor...have a nice day!

glad to see that there's a good balance of developers between those working on JTL and those doing publishes for the live game.

/rollseyes

I'm sure the answer would be "it's not in the budget", but how hard is it to get a few additional hands to keep up with the current game. As it seems right now, there's probably 2 or 3 people dedicated to the live publishes, with all the other people (Art, UI, etc.) doing JTL.

TH and the Devs: being in the MMORPG business is just as much about keeping your current customers satisfied as it is drawing in new customers. IMHO I would re-evaluate your balance between these two. You have a lot of dedicated people, a lot of people hungry for more content, who don't want to wait for the expansion to come out. By that time you may have already lost their patronage.

THUNDERHEART WROTE:

In the future, we will both see additional looted schematics and permanent schematics added to the profession

I am not a weaponsmith, but this sounds exactly like something Ultima Online went througha short while ago. As the weaponsmith said, there are too many schematics to keep organized, and they all take up a spot of inventory. Ultima Online had something called "Bulk Order Deeds" that were used in crafting. Most players have hundreds of those and they are hard to organize and keep track of.

What they did was create a "Bulk Order Deed" BOOK. It only took one spot in an inventory and could hold hundreds of deeds. There were search filters in this book so you could only look at the ones you needed at any given time. And crafters felt much less of an inventory "squish". Would it be possible to put something like this in SWG? It sounds like a great idea.

Please tell me the much talked about "Veteran Rewards program" is more than special emotes. That would be very disappointing.

Has anyone been looking into the little "bug" where if you get knocked offline with your buffs and come back, the icons are gone but the buffs remain???
Also, as a Master Musician...a timer window to let us know how long until the people listening are buffed would be nice. Timing it ourselves can be problematic, especially since the 2minute minimum. Sometimes the buffs do not stick and if most people are lucky they get the full 2 hours, where some get 30minutes - 1 hour..its hard to judge the buff times now.
Something along the lines of a command like "/timeron X" X being the amount of minutes, I.E "/timeron 5", and a 5 minute timer will popup and start counting down. So that all entertainment classes will know when to tell people to either stop watching or listening.
Thanks for your time. Have a good day.

write a macro - /pause 300; /echo "Buff is done";

tie this into your buff macro. When the buff is done, you will see "buff is done" displayed in your chat window. No pop up needed.
