Congrats, TH.
I don't think anyone could do as good a job alienating huge swaths of the playerbase in one fell swoop, but you constantly amaze me in your continued ability to do just that.
I really wish I had theinclination to drop by the Fan Fest, (yeah, I'm local to Anaheim, but if you think I'm going tospend my valuable weekend time or money fora slim chance to participate in a JTL beta, you're sorely mistaken,)if only to witness the mass crucification that is going to occur during the Q&A presentations. I sure hope someone brings a tape-recorder with them and produces a transcript...
The smuggler community is by far the most close-knit, patient group of people that SOE has the fortune of having as part of its playerbase, and we've been repaid by 9 months' worth of lies, broken skilltrees, and systematic nerfs to our only functional abilities. (A panic shot that breaks immediately, since an auto-attack will follow a panic shot, FeignDeath that results in immediate re-aggro when you stand up, etc.)
Today's response has resulted in yet ANOTHER Smuggler correspondant hanging up his hat, and countless other Smugglers leaving in disgust. Good Job! 5 Stars for you!

Anyway, TH, some of the commando community seem a tad worried that they'll be too dependant on skill-tapes for HW accuracy and speed (probably because both are pretty bad anyway,) I'm guessing that this won't be the case?
And get the bloody Gorax off you dev server and back onto Chimeara ('cos I'm sure that's where you stole him from!)

As a smuggler since August, i must cry.
I've loved this game since day 1, and still do, but honestly, all this delays and the lack of purpose that the game has now is making me feel closer to cancel my 3 accounts until CR or JTL finaly arrives. And that's sad. Cause you (devs) are more focus in creating insanely hard dungeons for the ubber and unbalanced proffesions while leting the other die slowly. Where is the sense in creating those dungeons if all the proff and combat issues will change in CR? I mean, do you really know what you're doing?
Stop making dungeons, stop making everything, and fix the damn broken proffesions all ready. What the heck is a smuggler, a carbineer, a pistoleer, a pikeman, and so on... suppose to do in the GCW atm? We are just another kind of NPC for the ubbersto grind FP.
The worst is the lack of communication and love that you devs are giving us... your suporting players :_(

This IS the preview of the Combat balance -- since JEDI are the most powerful ALL others will be much weaker in PvP. Consider this as a MASSIVE reduction in weapons and armor

Lightsabers have been balanced against the system after the combat balance. For PvP specifically, Jedi Knights and above will be balanced for PvP play.
This needs some clarification. This has given the impression that Jedi are going to be balanced against all proffessions for PvP play. After all the dev quotes of Jedi are supposed to be unbalanced. I would think a Jedi should only be balanced against another Jedi, and I'm hoping you'll confirm that's what's going on. Any non-Jedi should be very afraid when they see an opponent ignite a lightsaber and start walking towards them.

I'd like to know if Green Marine will be at the Fan Fest... he may find it long and painfull if he crosses the way of a smuggler passing by...
Erf, how stupid am I, there won't be any smugglers at the Fest, you have to be a Fan to be there, not a victim...
