Oh, I should clarify I guess... I make 43+ rated crafting stations on Radiatnt and my testing on TC gave better results with high quality resources than using same resources prior to change (all on TC, given)... But with crafting stations and crafting tools, I only experiment on one stat - not at all like Armor or Weapons... Sorry for confusion to those who do not test same things...

I'm with you. I'll be crafting a ton of buffpacks and combat med stuff tomorrow since the resulting product would be higher than anything I'll be able to make afterwards. The change was one of those things that wold have been good for some and bad for others. As far as buffpacks go, there's only 1 attribute I want - power, so I'll be doing as many of those as I can tomorrow while they're hot.

This is good news.........but it clearly sheds light on a bigger issue. The dev team is way out of touch with what the player-base expects and wants from SWG. Even with the correspondent system in place, communications are not taking place in time to prevent mistakes like this.

If anything comes out better than post patch so many schematics will be made Tuesday evening that the top current crafters will never produce anything else.

By asking those changes to be pulled you just doomed any future crafter that will try to master their profession and start a business.....

LOL! That's why 90% of the people who posted opposed thechange in the first place! Now you try to use our arguement against reverting the change. I'm not worried though, because very few things are going to come out better after the post.

I for one am happy that the change will be revoked, though I'm suspicious that the Devs might 'forget' to revoke the changes, or find reasons to delay the hotfix until everyone just comes to accept the new system. Why can't it be hotfixed on day one? Why can't the patch be delayed a day or two until the new system is reverted or the hotfix is prepared for immediate release?

Well, i would have rather seen it stay. But i guess all those people who dabble in every crafting profession at once don't like because theywon't be able to make a decent product anymore. Oh well, so much for balancing the crafting professions out.

As far as the post goes only the experimentation changes are not going in so I guess we will see the reduced critical failure rates (which is also good). It's nice to see that they took the communities comments and posts into consideration. Althought the number of people that use the boards is comparatively small compared to the player base i believe that this was a good call and want to thank the developers for having the courage to step up and say "yes we heard you and we will take it out". 3 cheers for em

This is not the proper resolution. Allowing people to make some items betterthan ever before for even one day, then turning right back around and making it so people into the future can never make such good items again is unacceptable. The patch should not be pushed live at all until all the crafting changes have been removed. There were issues like this in the past with things like the T21s but at that time people didn't have hundreds of harvesters and tons of master level characters to take advantage of it in the way it wil be taken advantage of tomorrow. The crafting game is going to be ruined in one fell swoop if those changes ever touch the live servers.

I think you missed his point - the fact of the matter is that they (the schematics) will exist - and quite possibly in large enough quantities to make a significant impact on the rather decimated economy. Either you include them or not, but not both.

Personally, its just more waffling by development. Admittedly, this suggestion should have never made it to the last day before the publish - but the fact that it did and they turned around and yanked it leaves me quite disturbed over SoE's policies on this matter.

Frankly, as a bounty hunter I don't believe this happened - a "nerf" (I'm still debating if a chance for legendary craftsmanship is a nerf, but that's for crafters to decide) being pulled for lack of Fun? Tanks (BH Corr.) has a list of nerfs that were not 'fun' that he's addressing for Publish 8's combat rebalance - but, under this explanation they shouldn't have gone through either.

I'm just seeing the bigger picture - its a victory, yes - but its also a major loss in terms of faith in SoE's ability to develop and utilize any consistant policy towards their game.

Thank you so much!

Many of the more or less professional responses turned out to be very..er, emotional.
Even insulting. Reading through them must have been..annoying at times, to say atleast.
Thanks for tolerating us.

You did the right thing!
