Thread: Publish 8 Testing Feedback: Enhanced New Player Experience
Hi,
I started with 2 new professions (Marksman and Scout). The guide through the first steps of this professions were great.
I really liked the gifts (vehicle rental service is my favorite).
But the popups from the little helper got kinda annoying.
cheers, Tybor Aho'on

I'm not saying place restrictions on helpers. I am suggesting a helper that actually does more, that is called upon by the system to help. Other wise helpers just kinda stand there. But you are right, meybe helpers don't need to have to do all that stuff. perhaps the droid should just ask if the new player would like to work with someone and then call a helper over if the new player so chooses.
I started Novice Brawler and received the R2 Helper Droid. At first he seemed a little too intrusive, always popping up whe I would log on, but I tried out the routine last night and realized that it was very helpful. Maybe not to veteran players but if I had the droid when I first started, I would had developed as a player faster. Kuods!
Please Please Please
- disable profession display under player name BY DEFAULT. if someone wants to have a sticker saying "assassin" on him, it must be a deliberate act.
- add an UI option to "disable macro generated player messages" : effectively adding a spam filter to the game.
- arrange stacked character names so that all remain readable (put them higher over the player's head for exemple)
- could we get a few more buttons to toolbars (even if not binded, some space is really wasted here)
I'm not a huge fan of the last one, but the rest are FANTASTIC ideas. If nothing else, when you select 'no title' it should stick instead of being replaced with some other title....also when you drop master dancer/musician it should remove the title.....
