JustG, you MUST overhaul the crackdown or it will kill Smugglers.
Blah blah blah.

Publish 6 will go Live next Thursday, February 12th, 2004.
Let the Imperial Crackdown begin!

Ok, let me explain this for those of you who don't quite get it.
...
The same kind of effect is going to happen to the smugglers. Imperials can call it pulling rank all they want. I call it stealing the smuggler's job and muscling in on our turf. It's a bad idea, it breaks the game balance, and it basically neuters smugglers in terms of their unique joband role in the galaxy.
I hear you, but before this patch you actually had nothing to smuggle in the first place.
This is actually adding a role for yuo that you never had.
Plus the Imperials need a little love because they are feeling outnumbered and maybe this will get some more people to join their side.
Thanks for the info, Gary!
And FWIW, I do think the communications have gotten significantly better...and I was against the board change.
I'm not too proud to admit when I'm wrong ![]()
- Would Weaponsmiths accept that Imperial Faction Recruiters could now give out 95% resist, 10 HAM encumbrance armor for 5,000 FP per piece?
- Would Doctors accept that Rebels could buy a self-buff that increased all HAM by 5000 points for 50 FP from a Recruiter?
- Would Entertainers accept that members of a Faction could spend 5 FP to clear all Battle Fatigue at a Recruiter?

And i would prefer they actually stick to their schedule for once, while putting out a reliable patch at the same time.
Nice to see that January's publish is not coming out until the middle of February now, lol. And apparently it will continue to be this way since they're not referring to the publishes anymore as months. It's now publish 6, publish 7, publish 8. Pretty much the last straw as far as i'm concerned. I'm not paying $15/month for a new build every couple of months.
Don't come back ya whiner, and Shut the door on your way out!
Thanks for the info guys, it's good to be informed.
Not anymore!

Sorry, but I am not gonna go gooo gooo just because we were finally given a release date for the publish. Many others here buckled like sheep, sorry not good enough for me.
One little tiny bit of info after the sh*t storm you guys caused ain't gonna right all the wrongs commited by you (the devs). It's a start...a very very very small start, but it's a start...

ya know, last time you stated a specific date you payed rather hard for it. I hope the same doesn't occur here again.
Leaving yourself some wiggle-room for legitimate issues that arise isn't an problem with communication it's the lack of answers for legitimate questions (i.e. when is x going to be addressed, are you even aware that Y is an issue in many peoples minds), saying in the next week to 2 weeks is fine. I'm sure no one would complain about that. I don't see this as all that beneficial as acknowledging outstanding issues, perhaps an automated system that says that your /bug report was read by Dev XXX. That I think would be much more useful than this.
thanks for the date though, hope you make it.
