I agree with phobeus, there needs to be a point to the different languages. I would love to have to tell people to please speak basic, as it is i dont even notice when someone speaks any other language.

I've been wondering about these two points for a while:


1) Friend Consent/Online notification: I'm not sure whether this is a mechanic instituted to help bounty hunters track Jedi, but for privacy reasons I think it would be nice if were given the ability to choose whether or not we are added to someone's friend list instead of arbitrarily being added with no choice. In a similar vein, it would also be nice if we had the option to select who can see us online and not. I'm thinking of course of the consent and invisible functions used in ICQ. And it makes sense to me. On the one hand, if you're a crafter or doctor, the ability to "hide" from others who've already added you to their friends list will spare them from "tell hell" every time they log in. And it's just NICE to know you have some control over who talks to you and who doesn't. Aside from possibly making tracking Jedi more challenging, I think most players (As mentioned before, doctors and popular crafters in particular) would benefit from the added control and privacy. When you're out hunting for resources, the last thing you want is a million, buzillion tells from people asking for a buff.


2) A subumission for consideration or a nomination system for Badges reward by the Events Team: I'd heard disturbing rumors to the effect that Good Samaritan, Biography, and other badges awarded by the Events Team were no longer being given. I PMed GarVa and he kindly took the time to respond and told me the badges are, in fact, still being given. It's simply a problem of being at the right place at the right time and hoping you get examined/interacted with.


While the Brave Soldier badge seems a little easier to get since an Events Team member actually assembles players for the event, others like Professional Demeanor, Biography and Good Samaritan are really shots in the dark. It would be nice if players could either submit an "application for consideration" or other players could nominate them, and these are filtered down to the Events Team for an "audition process" to see whether they qualify.

Is there any plans to change the language tree. it would be nice to have more languages and not be able to learn them all.

Something id like to mention that Fencer is a very under rated profession, I have mastered it and i have found it to be AWESOME! It is by far one of the best (if not THE BEST) combat prof in the game.


My only concern with it is a lack of weapon variety, you know Pikeman can get Energy Lances/NS Lances, Heavysword has the Scythe, pistoleer has the new geo pistol.....i just think fencer deserves something more then a Metal Pole with a Shower head on top


I think a 250-300 light armor piercing sword would be a great addition to fencer, of course it should be hard to get the new sword....maybe some kind of cool quest or something. I just think with all the other profs getting cool new weapons (when they already have a nice variety) fencer should get something too.

How about Master Artisan crafted SEAs? The required subcomponents could be provided by Bio-Engineers and Tailors or Armorsmiths. Put an end to dirt-pile camping and 3rd party AFK macro tools...

I really wish that i could get a comment on this Idea of mine. Currently Armorsmiths are confined to making armor that only has to do with personal equipment worn by players. I would like to see the inclusion of Armor crafted for Droids, Pets, and Vehicles, and even some structures, i.e Factional base turrets, scanners, etc.


I could list a hundred ways this could be done, but thats not really important at this point. I am a master armorsmith, master artisan, and am feeling a little left out with all these new changes.


Right now, all i can make is "personal armor" , and "Personal Shield Generators." this is ok, but I am a MASTER ARMORSMITH. I am sure that with the upcoming Droid invasion, there will be a great need for armor, and in my opinion should be added so the Armorsmith has a bigger role, and gets to be part of the "new" SWG that is forever changing. I can understand that the Droid engineer makes Droids. but Battle droids require armor, and DE's do not make armor and should not know how to. I can understand that Some pets have natural armor, but is it not conceivable to think if your taking your pet into battle, you would outfit it with some protection? PSG's come to mind as the #1 form of protection that should be equipable by all persons, droids, pets, and vehicles.


Unforetunatly, PSG's are in a dismal state, and I would think it's about time you Dev's get you act together and squash the "Shifting stat" bug. I'm sure you've Heard this from hundreds of people, and all i've ever heard is how it's a complex problem to fix. The fact that you can add new content (Imperial test PSG) that is affected by this bug, shows that you are not focusing on your priorities. FIX WHATS BROKEN BEFORE YOU ADD MORE BROKEN CONTENT PLEASE! Another thing related to PSG's, Since you see fit to add all kinds of other combat animations, and effects, why do i still not see a globe like field of protection around me when using a PSG? It's in the movies and is part of Star Wars. Currently, Jedi can deflect incoming weapons fire with thier light sabre's so having a PSG do the same is no big complexanimation to impliment.


Hopefully you consider some of these idea's and even more i wish you'd fix what you've been ignoring.

What to do with holos after they are no longer used for jedi grind...



I personaly think that they should be turned into high end quest givers, these quests should give armor/weapons parts allready in the game, like tissues, or shards. They could also give players scematics that are a few uses, like the fetherweight fwg5. The quests should be fairly high end so as to match the reward. Why these rewards? Well as we know alot of people don't get to kill the the mobs that drop these items as they are camped 24/7 and the new theme park items will have their prices go through the roof in the medium term as these can only be done once. This system would allow for a trickle of these items to continue long term. If implementing quests is to time consuming, make them like a high lvl treasure map giver, so as players can just go and get the times and have to kill the mobs.

I do not know if this is the right place for this.


I had the idea maybe you could make a nitro pack for the Vehicals. It would be craftable by smugglers and would be an item looked for in the crack down. It would boost the speed of a vehical for a short time and when it was used it would cause the vehical to take twice as much damage as is normal such as for the swoop it gets 50 normally so the boost would cause 100 damage when intiated. You could also make it so if more then a set number of boosts were used between repairs it would cause the vehical to become disabled.


This is just an idea I have been thinking about do not know if it would fit with the game or not or even be desired by most.

Firstly sorry about my english, because it hasn't been perfect yet. I don't know im in the right place with my ideas!


The first idea about the death. I think you should make somepenalty point (i think XP penalty) when a caracter is dieing. Like in Diablo! I know a hardcore caracter can't be good in this game but it will be good some penalty point for dieing. I try to explain why do i think this. When i was on Naboo a Rebel (overt) player ask another player (Imperial overt) to kill him, because he was buffed and he needed a better buff. I think it's bad thing in an RPG game and on an RPG server (starsider). I think the items failure isn't solve the problem, because the players can repair their itemMs.


My another idea is about the bounty hunters. (if it isn't still in the game) I think you should make a new menu in the bounty hunter mission terminal. This new menu can use every player who wants to pay a bounty. I mean a player pays some money for another player death. I think this will be fun. (If you make some penalty when somebody dieing)


My last idea about the imperial troopers. I have got an ST armor and i was going down the cantina make checking the peoples. When i wear my ST armor a lot of player to banter with me. Its not a bad thing after all i playing a bad caracter in the game. i think zou should make the officers or the troopers can arrest players. I know it's a big power in a player hand, but it will be fun too. I think the arrest will be a high rank ability. If the arrested player wanna free him/her self he have to pay some credits cca. 3k, but if he/her doesn't want to pay the credit he/her teleported into the prison. And he/her have to stay there 15min. And every city have got a jail. And the Rebel palyers can raid the prisons and free the players who are sitting in the prison. I think it will makes good PVP fights.


Ooh... i have got another idea You should make a radio what can use a player once when he/her bought it. The players can buy radio from the recruiter.When the player use the radio a shuttle will come some minutes cca. 5 minutes ago. And it drop cca. 10 troopers. The radio cost cca. 3000 Faction point. The drop will there where the player use the radio.

I was running through Coronet the other day, and started thinking that there are lots of unused buildings that just serve to make the trek through the city have a few more turns


I know a lot of these buildings don't have layouts or entrances, etc..., but I think it would be a really cool addition to the game if some of the buildings were given layouts and put up for rent.


Basically, what I envisioned was:


  • Rental property built into the city layout (no new buildings, just make the existing ones accessible)

  • Once you begin renting, you keep ownership of that building until you stop paying.

  • Make the cost to rent out the building VERY high (this should be something that is strived for and an honor to own, most likely something that a group (like a PA) would have to undertake together

Possible things that spawn from this:



  • New place for people to gather to buy/sell wares, get buffed, work on AP experience (which would take away some of the lag associated with Starports

  • Great way for large PAs to spread their influence, by owning a building in a major city, giving them a second place to launch guild events

  • Enterprising players could buy a large building and rent our plots for Vendors, etc... creating a User-Owned mall in major cities

I'm sure there are lots of other benefits that would be thought up by all the SWG players out there, and with a little design/artwork from the Dev team, I wouldn't think it would be that hard to incorporate.


Anyways, just an idea, maybe one that has been put forth before, I didn't do any forum searching before I posted.


Any thoughts or comments?

Can we get any info on these ui issues that everyone(especially crafters) has, please?



  • Backpack sort ordershouldbe retainedafter closing andopening.
  • Inventory sort ordershouldbe retainedafter any loading occurs.
  • Bazaar and vendor column widths should be retained for more than one session.
  • Graphics settings (Show Detail World Objects & Fade Objects) should save their settings.
  • Graphics settings (Terrain / Terrain Detail and Terrain Detail Distance) should not reset randomly to lowest levels after several times loggin in and then out.

These are my dream patch note items, and I have been posting about these for several months in different places. I refuse to resort to flaming and whining or posting after every Dev post in any forum. It's unfortunate that those posts seem to get the attention.





Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."
