What you should do, is have CSR's watch the players, you know the very same ones that give badges for interesting persona, interesting back ground, so on and so on. To figure out who best deserves jedi. Not just in a playing sense, but in a roleplaying sense. If a player is interested in the dark and mysterious path, just have one person randomly award a player with the ability to become a jedi. Meanwhile, force sensativity (as i've said.) should be easy.

Other than that jedi should stop right now. Don't let anyone else be the jedi. whatever the number is, make that the current cap and occasionally make players that CSR's watch and think they deserve it, into possible jedi, in other words have an NPC jedi master seek them out for training like obi wan did luke.

Within one day of publish 10 coming out everyone knows how to become force sensative ive been driving around a bit and its done wonders for the lag time in the cities cause everyone that isnt AFK shouting on the auction channel is at a theme park or a corvette quest or POI chasing to get that force sensative glow. The Warren had nothing hostilealive in it every room was full of players. We now live in a galaxy with more force sensative people than normals, it mutepoint how people thought it should go but hopefully the dev team can nowbe Honest enough to rename the game Star Wars Galaxies The Jedi Wars.

Mysterious, just not frustrating.

About this time last year, was the first time I went downstairs in the cantina at Mos Takie (forget how it is spelled at the moment) and got blasted with the ball of light. I was certin that had something to do with the Force, so I searched everywhere for a clue. I ended up spending about 2 weeks on Endor trying to find the riverbed from the painting on the cantena wall. When the information about holocrons was released I was a bit heartbroken, that the ball of light apparently had nothing to do with Force Sensitivity.

A clue system would be great. Perhaps have it migrate around the galaxy. A glimmer of light and "feeling". A sudden urge to go visit "NPC Bob" on Yavin. Triggers or spawnponts for these feeling could move around or only be active at certain force related locations at different times. In my opinion opening the force slot should be a dynamic mystery or quest, that would lead you all over the galaxy.

The new system is much better than the old, and I thank the Devs for that. Still it is too linear. Very specific goals can be followed the same way for each person and they will eventually be force Sensitive.

The Hero of Tattooeen is a good model for this type of quest.

look at it this way: If Lucky Luke hadnt met Obi-Wan or Yoda he would still be looking at those twin suns every night wondering what couldve been. I love the whole idea of the jedi path having a sizeable element of mystique around it, but as mentioned above if one knows the trick everybody knows it 2 hrs later. Keep the path known, but throw in massive ressources in the storytelling part. Its not about the story its how u tell it. Look at "waterworld" featuring kevin Costner- billion$ budget but 10$ spent on the script

It should be mysterious. I think it would be a good idea to lengthen the path of becoming Force sensitive to weeks instead of days. Also, at each time there should be several different ways of becoming Force sensitive. It should be changed every week so players can't give the info to others that easily. Last but not least, i think it would be a good idea to make it harder to earn Jedi skills and "Force" players to do missions instead of killing at randorm to grind their skills.
