Really.
There seems to be a 10 minute or so "inactivity timeout" and preparing a post is not considered "activity" by this time.
I understand the need for inactivity timeouts, but it needs to be substantially longer, like 1 hour, minimum.I work with systems for a major telco (a baby bell successor company) and they allow at least that much timeout time on their web-based information and ordering systems.
I would like to know when the developers are going to address the masses of why they revoked the ability to get 4 socketed clothing at Master Tailor level? This was never addressed or mentioned in any Publishes or patches. I feel it's owed to use tailors that this be addressed since we AREN'T the ones that created this problem.
Some response from a developer in this regard would be appreciated!
Please create a new forum where players can post threads and talk and speculate and drool about the space expansion without rendering game guides, core systems, and a pile of other forums totally useless. (As I type this 6 of the first 10 threads in the Game Guides forum are on the SE.)
Thunderheart, please answer this ASAP:
What is the status on the problem where you diewhile loadingwhile using a shuttle with buffs?
My Jedi died twice because of it and I worked like three hours with CSR-NormP two days ago to get clues and he said devs would be working on a fix right away, yet it doesn't seem to have been hotfixed, even though itlooks to be a gamebreaking issue, especiallyfor Jedi as they could be loosing skills because of it.
People told me this issue has been well known on Testcenter and reported, yet not been fixed before going live. Sometimes I wonder what testcenter is for...

I used to solo Imperial bases all the time as a master fencer, and now master sword. I switched sides and have not tried a rebel base yet, but I'm sure its bound to be even easier. Any player faction base can be destroyed easily by solo players, even groups of them. I cannot see any reason for any PA to place one, they have become content to kill for those of us tired of trying to enter camped caves...
This comes down to a problem where there is no middle challenge in this game. Once you reach master, the content is either too easy to solo or too hard to solo. There needs to be things in this game that spawn more regularly that you can solo and may not kill. I'd like to see more kimo spawns on lok for example. Regular kimos are fun to solo, the bigger ones can be soloed but there are risks. The problem is finding one. Same goes with Krayts, Blurg raptors (although easy, are very rare - meaning the 80k ones, i might have the name wrong), and all the other advanced creatures.
On dathomir you go from the hardest beast being a ancient bull rancor, which i took out a lair of last night, even with 4 on me at one time. To a dark jedi knight, which I could take if I wanted to sit in front of the computer for an hour hitting F-9 a million times, with a few heal dizzy and heal self routines. There are 100k HAM nightsisters that are a nice challenge when you bundle them with a protector or couple spell weavers, but they rarely spawn. I walked for about 5000m last night in a bog loop looking for the nightsister enchantresses and only came across outcasts, protectors, spell weavers, sentinels and initiates. I know they are getting force back next week and then I will have a bigger challenge, but that brings me back to the original point.
Once the sisters have their force back, then the content goes from too easy to too hard. I won't be able to fight a mob of sisters at all, so all PvE in this game shifts from one extreme to another. I admit that I always found a smooth transition while leveling. I think there's plenty of "unbuffed" content to attack in the game while leveling up and its a lot of fun. But once you hit master you find that you can only attack certain things with very little variety.
But I'm really looking for creatures to kill. I think the NPC content i the game is good, even thought the HAM numbers jump around from 10k for a good kill, 20-30k for a better kill, 56k for a nice kill, 100k for a rare kill and then all the way up to 300k for a useless kill and then onto 400k to 500k for really useless kills. I say useless because if I loot a legendary NS lance off an NSinitiate and 2 leather from an NS Edler, obvisouly i'm going to slaughter more lower level ones because in the 45 minutes it took to level the Elder I could have killed about 30 initiates and gotten more and better loot.
I cannot even imagine what it must be like to level jedi, I mean there's nothing out there for them to kill but rancors I suppose. It's not like they will camp the krayt graveyard and the spawns on Lok are lousy so its not worth the time walking around for 2-5 hours to find a single kimo spawn.
So I don't think I'm asking for much, I'm looking for a Super Duper Rancor on Dath, call it just that, give it 200k HAM, a nasty disease, rotten bleeds, regular rancor loot anda fat harvest. Make them spawn pretty regularly so its not like we have to search for days to find just one. That's all some of want in this game. The ancient Bull rancors don't spawn much, I expect that just because of their name. But try tripling the ham, give them defence against blast, my power hammer goes through them in 25 hits to the mind, if that.
I don't care about so many of the bugs,
I don't care that I have to select "Enter Vehicle" 3-4 times to get off my bike while being attacked.
I don't care that I have to click "Exit Vehicle" 3-4 times to get back on the bike when I'm done.
I don't care that I warp ahead or back 100m when I finally am able to exit the bike.
I don't care about missing inventory.
I don't care about PvE warping 80m away when they get down to 1% on a HAM bar.
I don't care that CM/Rifleman are better than Jedi, I quit PvP a long time ago.
I don't care that my house can only hold 150 things.
I don't care how many times I have to click a ticket to board a shuttle.
I don't care how many more of my friends in the game quit to go play CoH (that game sucks by the way).
I don't care about any bug anyone posts that says I missed one.
I can't wait for Space.
I can't wait until they have more instance caves that solo players can have fun with.
I can't wait to see the new path to jedi
I can't wait to see the smuggler revamp.
I can't wait to see a way to solve kill stealers and ninja looters.
I can't wait to get home from work and play this game.

I would like to make a comment to all the posters complaining about how easy this game is. Before you go and ask for creatures/weapons/armor to be nerfed, please consider all the other players in the game that are most likely not in the same position as yourself. If you find the game becoming too easy using buffs, uber armor and weapons, please, don't use them and have yourself a blast as you constantly clone over and over. By making creatures harder and weapons/armor weaker, all your really doing is forcing people to have to use buffs and wear/use the best equipment available to partake in the game.
So once again, if you find the game getting too easy, just go grab a cdef weapon, bone armor, and some spice and have a blast, just don't make most of the game's content off limits to me because your uber.,

if you are referring to my post, I am suggesting that there is a lack of content for high end players. You get to a point where everything is too easy or too hard. I'm not looking for nerfs, I'm looking for new creature types with different HAM bars. I don't want weapons changed, armor nerfed or anything else. I'm looking for master level content.
It seems that the developers left out masters when they made the game because the jedi system required you to master and then drop. The only masters with any kind of content are non combat classes. All the combat classes reach master and then realize there is nothing in the game to really challenge them. Short of taking out 300k HAM NPC's or creatures, there needs to be PvE in the 100-300k HAM range, as it stands there is little to no PvE in that range. Lord Nyax, 56k HAM = easy. Typical nightsister, Spell Weaver, 26k HAM = easy, Protector 56k HAM = easy. Elder 360k HAM = easy if you have an hour to kill spamming one attack over and over again.
You see I'm looking for a tough 10 minute battle, 50% of the time I will die trying. This would be something like a 100k HAM rancor, or some other creature that lives on Dathomir, Endor or Yavin.

sorry --- but i just have to comment on this...I think many of the people you have on TC are the WORST, very worst, to test the SE....many of these people are serious RPrs and really into SKILL BASED RPGS...also their comments from what i read on TC often differ widely from the real gamers in thelive game.....they are really concerned with "community", having parties and weddings, hanging out with each other....
they just dont jive with a Combat based space sim.....
I dont want these ninnies messing up the SE....its the only reason many of us are still here.....i dont want these folks turning into some E&B clone
I agree.
You need to get the min/max powergamer crowd in on the SE beta. Don't make the mistake you made with the SWG beta, in which the min/max players were not heaviliy represented to test the limits of the systems. Once you get powergamers REALLY pushing your design, you can adjust accordingly.
If you test with RP/casual types, you will wind up not putting maximum stress on your design. You need to kick out the jams in beta.
