XP caps at master need to be addressed. None of us can afford losing a single XP, since it takes SO much to do FS. Why should I have to make 3 dozen trips to Dathomir just for a few boxes?

I'm with MajorSlappy...Make the FS quests worth FS xp. Don't make us do the quests and basically receive nothing, but a few trinkets. You still have to go grind xp to move up the force trees. At this point, I think the quests are absolutely worthless. The only purpose the quests serve is just getting a few gifts...no force xp or anything. I thought the constant grinding was supposed to end with this publish. I guess we were lied to by the devs once again. My subscription expires in two weeks, and if I don't see any progress from the devs to give us, the CONSUMER, the material we want. I'm as good as gone.

Also,I think that the 30:1 ratio for combat xp is completely ridiculous. Every other type of xp is in single digits. Why is combat xp the only one with such a high ratio. I think there should be one universal ratio for all types of xp. I would think 5:1 or 10:1 would make people a lot happier than the ridiculously high 30:1 ratio.

SOE Devs,

Bad ideas don't get better by applying them again and again. Grinding professions was a terrible idea and grinding XP to convert is even worse.

END THE GRIND!

I don't like pointless grinds.
Thank you for reintroducing decay!!!
I like a complex, immersive world simulation, full of possibilities, challenges and roleplay.
I want a player driven, crafting-based economy.

Why did you want to revamp the old system? Answer since you wanted to end mindless grinding. Your solution make it so you now have to grind as much exp as it took to do all 32 proffesions 7 times over great move devs.

Well, now I made some real hard-core hunting, getting 3 hours buffed and hunting 5000 xp beasts on Dathomir & Dantooine. The result of several attempts is this:
(I am Master Pikeman.)

3 hours buffed = 350.000 weapon xp + 35.000 combat xp.

On ratios of 30:1 and 3:1 that is altogether around 22.000 Force XP per 3 hours hunt.

So its 1.25 million XP PER BRANCH = 57 days ( 2 month)

As we need 6 brances, it make 2 x 6 = 12 months to only unlock Jedi. Even if I raise my play time to 6 hours mere hunt per day I need 6 months to unlock.

Please, SoE, consider to change the XP trade ratio soon! This can never be the final decision!!!

From a CSR in game

"Old Man Visits
Customer service is unable to assist with Old Man or Sith visits. Please note that this game system is working as intended. If you miss your visit or fail a portion of these events, they will repeatedly occur until you complete them."

In my journal

Sith attack COMPLETE (will not happen again)

Examine bodies COMPLETE (will not happen again)

Investigate wp COMPLETE (after i go to the EMPTY WP);INCOMPLETE (when I leave Corellia and the SAME WP reappears in my datapad....always NOTHING THERE)

SO I AM NOT INTENDED TO GET INTO THE VILLAGE?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have no idea if this point has already been made and I'm not reading through 38 pages to find out.

I started the fs quests, and discovered something that's quite perturbing to me.

I can NOT unlock any skill branch which I can use my scout related xp for unless I grind up master medic. That's 1/3 of my professions, which I use quite frequently, useless for the quests simply because I can't convert my scout related xp to anything but heightened senses xp which is unlocked using the Medic profession.

Now I would understand the scout related xp being soley fs senses xp if I could unlock skill lines with my scouting skills but I cannot. This to me is a blaring hole in the system.

no one will ever be happy with a quest based system, all you people are whiners, and whenever quests are introduced there is going to be a walkthrough, and we're all gonna look at it, give them some credit, they try. its not their fault people ruin it for everyone

Crafter are a$$ kicked too....

sorry but it couldn´t be that a master Weaponsmith like me craft 10k T21 for 1 skilltree (Assembly 1-4)....

if i craft everyday1 hourT21 (no one needsso manybtw..and i dont have enough Vendorspace) ... i need years to become a jedi.....

in another thread someone wrote...drop ur crafter and do the Combat-Skills....

Hey how would u fighters get exp without any weapons or armor?!?!??!

THUNDERHEART wrote (sorry i was search the threat but i dont find him) so in my words...

"We decided that the Hologrinding isnt good for the economy so we change the Rules to become a jedi"

Mister Thunderheart .... this way to become a jedi is lesser good then the old way....

Normal Player cant get any App Exp because all Grinder hold their Exp for convert....

Docs in Cities are rare like the Peko Peko Albatross....

Weapons and Armor dont restocked...because the Crafters grind....

This way u gone ...isnt a real good one....

I like SWG but atm...is this Game not a good game...

and i think im not the only one who think so...

Got the old man to visit me, but a "dam good time"? I think not. Having to grind 450k in xp a day for the next 326 days (for my own character, yours might be a lot more a little less) is not fun, it's insanity and that leads to becoming one of those "EverCrack" kids and killing myself and my family. How are you having a "Dam good time" repeating a keyboard mash combo over and over again to gain access for a character type in a video game a year later? So I did a perfectly reasonable thing so I could have a "dam good time"...I went out and took a bike trek for about an hour, then I went and met up with some of my friends and we hung out a bit and no one had to die because I didn't lose my mind grinding in a video game to be able to play something that I'm paying for, but obviously am not allowed to get. Having a "dam good time"?If wetook a poll outside of the forums I gaurantee that there will be a 99% agreement that the new system is anything but fun. That the grinding is an absolute joke and an insult to the injury that SOE caused in the first place. The of 1% that say they are having a "good time"? I could make a killing (npi) selling crack to.

Ok, I've spent the better part of the last 4 days grinding experience (manually because I don't use scripts or macros for crafting). Ive managed to fill half of the Crafting Mastery novice box.
This box takes 50,000 of Force Crafting experience to fill.
I decided today to experiment with the numbers and here is what I've found:

Grinding out Structural Modules > Structural Walls > Medium Houses,
I can generate 121,000 experience in almost exactly 2hours. I can trade that in for 3361 of Force Crafting experience at a trade in rate of 1:36. (Please note: 121000 is the amount of Structure Crafting experience necessary to fill one box on the top tier of the Architect profession).

So, repeating this effort, and trading Structure Experience for Force Crafting Experience will result in my getting the Crafting Mastery Novice box filled after 29.7 hrs of grinding.

Now, to fill every box in the Force Crafting Tree, requires 4,320,000 in Force Crafting Experience.
Based on my calculations, this will take 2570 hours of grinding. So if I start grinding now, and do not stop for anything including sleep or work, I will be able to complete the tree in 107 days (3.5 months).

Now, if I grind for 20 hours a week (mind you, this isn't "playing" the game, but rather it is grinding experience) I can fill the tree in 128.5 weeks (2.47 years).

Ok, now let's look at this realistically. I *might* be willing to craft in this game a total 10 hours a week. Ive been a Master Architect/Master Artisan for about 7 months of the 8.5 total months I've played this game, so I'm no stranger to crafting and I think 10 hours a week commited to a tangible goal isn't terribly unrealistic. However at 10 hrs per week it will take me very nearly 5 years to fill the Force Crafting tree.

Also bear in mind, that as a primary crafter this is still only 16 of the necessary 24 boxes needed to unlock the ability to become jedi.

Is this what is intended?
