Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 3-8-04)

I am sick of being told "Come back when you are stronger" for missions i have done in the past and dont look forward being told that on new missions that might be added.
It should be my choice whether or not I attempt a mission, not the games. this adds NOTHING to my gameplay except irritation.
Also please define what "stonger" is. It is very vague and meaningless. There is no way of knowing what the game considers stronger.
And while we're at it - take into account buffs. When I was grinding a combat profession, I got full buffs, wore full ubese or composite as appropriate, and chowed down on spice and mind food.
For laughs, I tried a faction mission after soloing 4000-8000 HAM lairs for 2 hours straight without even dropping a single stim -- and couldn't get beyond the 1800-credit CL13 missions where I one-shotted everything.
Oh, and while we're at it -- FIX THE BLOODY VEHICLE DESPAWNING BUG. I know you want a credit sink in the form of garages, but could you kindly unbug vehicles at least until patch 7 to save us 15 skill points until them? Ever tried shopping at player vendors without a crate of camps and novice scout? C'mon. I dare you. It's an even more boring grind than Weaponsmith.

I personally love the quests in the game. One of the best-written NPC quests is the Hero Of Tatooine Quest aka the Hermit Quest and his collection of Badges. I have been able to achieve the Marks of Intellect and Alturism but the remaining Marks of Courage have not been working since the beginning of release. I am asked continuously regarding these badges and quest. They have true game content, they take true determination and puzzle solving, they reflect a true prestige of your commitment and involvement in the game. There are literally hundreds of people asking for information and updates regarding these quests. As Jorran has previously posted, we are desperately seeking some basic information regarding this quest:
- Why has this quest gone unfixed?
- When will the quest be fixed?
- Are ANY of the Marks currently spawning correctly?
You have hundreds of people seeking information regarding the best quest of the game, yet it is continuously ignored. Please help us. Please help us!
Proud barer of the Mark of Intellect and Alturism,
Desperately seeking the Hero of Tatooine
3 pages already and no response to anything yet![]()
Agree w/ several of the previous posts on the Wookiee issues, my suggestion is to make a wookiee only PSG... that works... and is equal to the 90% composite that every other species can wear.
And our HAM bonus... you mean the extra 300 health I get... yeah that helps alot:X
Agree also about giving us content that doesn't FORCE me to group to accomplish it (dragged through the new Genosion Lab w/ a small group, hung out to dry, left for dead and my only way out to die & clone). Also thanks for all the spiffy single quests w/loot/rewards that are useless to me as a wookiee because I can't equip any of them![]()
Any news on the Jedi Holo Grind changes?? Also any notice on whether you can tell us the hidden/missed component to opening the FSCS that you alluded to in a version of this thread a week or two ago??
Plenty of other small yet game-breaking stuff on my mind also... but why bother because nothing is done about it![]()
Why do I continue to play? Because there are parts I like and I'm addicted![]()
1. Give us armor - the math shows AR1 makes us WORSE than we are right now. Wookiee-only armor schematics (with similar hit points and resists to the highest-quality triple-layer composite) for us, with slightly higher encumbrances (say, 10%) to offset our HAM bonuses.
2. Give us rewards - make the crafters aprons, dancers leotards, etc. wearable by Wookiees. I can't believe somebody would put a reward in this game that one species cannot wear... /sigh.
One of the many Wookiees who feels unfairly burdened by a choice made back on day 1...
Would anyone else be happy if they added NO new content, but fixed all of the known bugs and worked on game balance with Publish 7?
How about it, TH? Could we have an entire Publish devoted to nothing but bug fixes and game balance? That seems to be what everyone is calling for, anyway.

This is the best post I have seen in all eight months of this game. Please do this.
Fix the Forum logins!
I and many others have been calling for this since the stupid login system when live. Instead, we continue, several months later, to be plagued with multiple logins each day.
What's the point in having an option to save our password when it doesn't even work!
- Either fix the Hermit Quests or post something telling us they are no longer in-game. 100's of people are wasting hours on trying to find these.
- City-Warn would be nice to have back (Hopefully grief-free)
- Congrats on getting Publish 7 going as fast as you guys are, I'm really excited about some of the things I'm seeing there.
- AT-AT's patiently waiting with bated breathe on this sucker.
- Corellian Blockade runner sounds way kewl!
- Please try not to NERF Teras Kasi, instead please bring the "broken" professions up to speed...
Thank You

I would love to see a grief-free Citywarn, but... I don't think such a thing is possible.
I was really happy it made it into the game in the first place, but within weeks there were guilds using it as an excuse to kill every novice artisan that used their shuttleport for surveying. It's sad - give some players an ounce of power, and they'll abuse a gallon of it right into the ground

Never bothered to mention this since there are so many other problems but..yeah I hate logging in so many times. And where the hell's the edit button?
Sorry I don't have an edit button yet... One other issue I'd like to add....
I hear a lot of complaints about "content" well, I have found MASS amounts of content in this game.. for instance The Mos Espa Circuit or even the missing (and I hope to see something soon) Hermit Quests... Oh wait, you can't run the Mos Espa circuit! Why you ask? Well, because anytime there's something cool in this game content wise some Newbies decide to build a player city on top of it. You would figure if they are using the POI to get people into their city they'd at least leave space for the track to run through, or at least leave spawn points open so the "attraction" would still be worthwhile. Unfortunately those who do this don't seem to understand. Is there a way to make area's around critical spawn's non-buildable?
I spend a lot of my time in-game running missions and visiting all the "content" in the game. I doubt the Force Crystal Cave was supposed to have a player city by it, I doubt there was supposed to be a guild hall in the center of the racetrack... etc.... ( thats as close to a huge grief as I have right now...)
Please don't let lamers ruin the content that is in-game.
(I also noticed that besides the hundred's of posts on the boards about this there's at least 10 people in this thread alone that have brought up a request for information on "The Hero of Tattooine" quests. Anything would be appreciated)
