Since defense stacking is going away, I imagine the 'uber l33t' peeps will have more problem with this than they think.

We need dungeons that scale, both in difficulty and reward. I'd love to have a dungeon I could do alone without having to be an 'uber l33t dUdE'...and at the same time, we do need some high end content. This would kind of fill both voids...though I do look forward to seeing a solo dungeon some day, with lots of twists and turns and mind bends, with a nifty cosmetic prize at the end perhaps. I'd love that.

This sounds absolutly AWSOME! I can't wait for it to hit live. My only real question is:

If this works out, and the "pocket" dungeon actually works... will they retro the other's (Geo Cave, Warren, etc)? As it is now, the Geo cave is nothing more than a dank campsite festering with all of the greediest players in the game who aren't AFK camping the Bat Cave on Rori. Greed so thick, you could cut it with a blunt racoon.

You don't need to use any AE abilities to make any mobs attack each other. If something is attacking you and it uses an AE while some non-fighting mobs are in the area of effect, it'll aggro those onto it. This happens regularly with factional NPCs who use grenades and hit other NPCs which then attack the first one, and also voritors with their AE poison attack which frequently hits other voritors and aggros them onto the first one.

Will there be a boss creature or humanoid NPC type that has new art and a new weapon that the enemy boss uses?





Many of the NPCs in the dungeon have new art. I'm not aware of any of said NPCs using new weapons, but there is a new weapon schematic that is a reward for ocmpleting the dungeon.






Are there 9 badges for completing the 9 various quests or just 1 Corellian Corevette badge?

Second question: What kind of loot can we expect? I've heard of a new speeder, a lovely 2 seater, but nothing else.






Rebel Marine factional armor. AV-21 Power Plant (Necessary ingredient to build the AV-21 speeder). Berserker rifle schematic. AV-21 speeder schematic. Rebel shirt (with small insignia on chest). And so forth...


To all the people afraid of new instances, I'm sure the cap is quite high. Yes, you will most likely get this message if the Corvette's are all 'full':


"The Corvette is currently out of transport range. You will not be able to travel to it at this time."


But, remember, the dungeons are only an hour long.. people won't be sitting up there all day (though a group with a lot of tickets could probably reenter it over and over pretty easily).


As far as the difficulty goes, factional content has been severely lacking for a long time and I'm happy to finally see something of a challenge in game concerning it(though I still believe this dungeon is soloable).

Here's what I do: I wear composite armor with 80+ resistances. I'm a master swordsman, master brawler, with some medic skills, and TKA meditation. I get buffed. I also have an acklay power hammer(5.9 250-750'ish)several 2h melee speed tapes allowing me to attack at the speed cap(so I can hit mind pool for upwards of 4k a hit, or spin attack to hit each mob for over 2k damage).


I generally go there early on(when it's not packed... I've been there alone on several occasions) To handle geonosians, I hit Center of Being, run past all of em to get them to attack me in melee(where they can't use those nasty stun guns), then I spin until they're all dead(takes about 10-15 spins due to random pool damage and low accuracy on hammer... so 10-15 seconds). Any bleeds, etc I meditate off. Kwi's and klikniks I intimidate and warcry, and then mind hit till they die. Acklay is the only really tough nut, and my fights with him can last a long time due to his intimidation... I try to get a knockdown+warcry combo in him, stick the heaviest mind-bleed I can on him, and just hammer him in the mind as much as possible. It often helps that other stuff around aggros on him rather than me, but I don't rely on that.


Simple enough? I've seen CM's exploiting his ai in such a way he aggro's everything else in the cave, and a number of other similar things, but the place can be soloed legitimately by some characters, and I've done so a few times. Also, I hate 1337-d00dz, I don't consider myself uber, and I'm not particularly keen on PvP. I'm not going to intentionally limit myself either though.







/warcry got hit with the 'nerf' bat. It now breaks the moment you attack your target-- in other words, it's now a 'mez', not a 'delay'. So the KD + /warcry thing won't work anymore.


Power Hammers... well. The Super Battle Droids are currently sitting pretty in the Corvette with 150,000 HAM, 100% Blast resists, and Medium Armor. Ouch for the Swordsmen! =P (thankfully, only 30% Electricity, if I recall correctly).


Lastly, I had a bit of fun in the Corvette a day or two ago. Killed some Rebel Commodores walking the hallways, with about 80k HAM each and Medium armor. Then, decided totake ona Rebel Rear Admiral, a 200,000 HAM NPC with Heavy Armor and 70% kinetic.


He shot my AT-ST for 6089 damage.

No elite professionshould be able to solo these "dungeons", that some are capable to do so just shows how broken and unbalancedthe combat profs are.


I am in waiting position now and hope the upcoming combat balance will iron out all of this.

A Jedi player was apparently unable to enter the neutral Corvette with a group over the weekend.


Is this a bug, or intended?

The mission ends when the player with the ticket dies...so what about resurrection?

I hope this place is tough. The geo cave was a solid step in the right direction in terms of difficulty. I'd like to see more of the same if not more difficult form this new one.

I am a little worried about what potential loot might come out of this place. Whatever you do, could we start from the ground up? instead from the top down?


It would be a stunning victory if we could avoid a future nerf, and even perhaps have to make something more powerfull. Players like changes that make things more powerfull.

no. my frend can solo the Geno Dungeon. he doesn't exploit. its called having a good set of buffs, armor, food, drink, etc and being a dark jedi guardian. thats all.
