I would like to see the following type quest:

Jedi Knight or Above get missions for opposite faction Jedi Knight or Above.

Quest for saber items.

Quest against the opposite faction similar to the rebel and imp theme park.

Rewards for killing Bounty Hunters/Other Professions/Jedi who attack you from a mission given to them.

Rewards in faction points to use on Jedi Items for killing people in PVP/Defending Yourself from missions/ or quest points.

Quest that may include meeting-interacting with Luke/Yoda/Vader/ or other Force users.

Thats all I can think of really fast.. Prob have more later.. There are tons of post in this thread so this will most likely get overlooked. But I had to give it a shot.

Joah, I love you man! Very very well thought out ideas...and I love em. That would make the allure of being a jedi much more exciting/mysterious then it currently is.

Check out my suggestions a couple of pages back as to how the jedi skill tress should branch into seperate jedi types (like healers and soldiers) kind of like your inquisitor idea. Good job man! =)

By compensation I don't mean give us slots.

I'm just curious if there is something, even a little something just to say..."We changed the system on you, we're aware you worked hard to get it...but things must change, we'll acknowledge the effort you put forward though."

Anything like that?

I do NOT mean anything overboard, just a little thing.

SPEAK FOR URSELF DUDE! but seriously tho...HOLO grinding is a big deal....the reward should be something as big as unlocking ur FS slot

I'd really like to see locations play a role in the Jedi path. When I went to Exar Kun's Temple on Yavin IV, it really gave me the feeling that there should be something more to the temple. Same with the Dantooine Academy.

Reading the old teachings off the walls to gain clues as to where to go, how to proceed. That would be very interesting to start things off. Those temples could be given special passages that only FS characters could see, or be drawn to. Or make a serious of puzzles in them, each one revealing more rooms or information as they are completed.

Using the locals in SWG to add to the FS/Jedi system seems very easy to do, yet doesn't give away everything all at once. If I got FS, I'd immediately be drawn to places where previous Force wielders dwelled. It would be the logical move.

Honestly, I can see a bright future for Jedi. There are a lot of people with some great ideas. I don't know if these ideas are great, but I'll give them anyway. It has been mentioned several times, but a passive Force Sense is, in my opinion, imperative to the Star Wars universe. This would give the Jedi a well needed edge. I believe there is a petition in progress to get this approved. As for the system, ThePhilosopher has a very niceplan which I think you would be wise toconsider. http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=jedi&message.id=248059

This is the only problemsI have. I think Jedi Mind Trickshould extend to PCs in the same way the proposedDark Side stealth would work (simply putting up a false NPC name, title, etc.) As well, I still like having the random saber colors based on the crystals. I do agree that they should be harvestable.

For a new method of Unlocking the FS slot, I thik that several quests that encompass all the skills in game should be implemented via several different types of NPCs. AForce SensitiveWarrior givesplayer specific destroy missions that can only be completed by that player and not a group, Jedi Philosophers would give missionscrafting various artifacts similarto the RIS missions, and finally aJedi Mystic would give force development quests. These quests would ba player specificbasically be slight Force skills and would be the final stage in developing your skills beforeunlocking the slot. I was thinking about stuff like lifting a ball with your mind, slight methods of persuasion of NPCs, and all culminating into a final quest to destroy a Jedi Inquisitor who is seeking you and your mentor. In order to keep this player specific, I think that small areas where a PC is training should be blocked off from other PCs, like entering a house, but being expelled again.

was just wondering...since im kinda out of the loop about this stuff, is this new jedi quest system still in concept or will it be in place in publish 7?

personally i think that people have grown so used to holo grinding, that it will need to be engaging quests to make the change popular, i might have more ideas later

I'm still concerned about us people who are on silent holocrons -- I only used three, and the third was silent -- and have no idea where to even go.

Will we get rewarded at all for following the system THEY implemented, or are we getting shafted?

jedi should get their own form of dodge/counterattack/block (assuming they work cough cough carbineers doesnt) that will deal the lightsabers damage to a block of a melee attacker and will hit the ranged attacker for what they attacked them with.

1. in the movies they reflected bolts back almost 100% of the time

2. common a guy with a sword.... ooooo.... a jedi should chop them in 10 pieces

The path of To Jedi Master is long and hard. Anakin is quite young when we see him in the first movie, and still has not taken the trials to become a jedi when we see him much older in the second. During this time he has followed under the guidance of Obi Wan (a jedi Master) and has also fallen under the scrutiny of the jedi council.

Force Sensitivity.
The main problem here is that there are simply too many Jedi running around. There is no system to keep the jedi population down save for the fact that it is so hard that some players may be put off playing it. Opening ones force sensitive slot is an unfair system. It should be balanced so that it is equally difficult for all players to do. Do not make it any easier, just make it the same difficulty for everyone. By making this a highly difficult task, you might be able to put players off the idea of becoming a jedi as it is not for everyone. Under the current systems methods, I would not think it is unfair to make someone who wishes to be a Jedi, master all of the professions in the game. Only the truly determined player should be allowed the chance to become one with the force. (this may cause an increase in the players grinding to FSCS, but many others will be put off by the idea and will not even bother trying, those people dont need to be jedi).

Force Sensitive.
Once a player becomes force sensitive, at the moment, they are automatically granted Jedi Initiate status and can very quickly make a saber and start using force powers. Scrap this system. Force sensitive should not equal Jedi. Jedi is something that you must enter the academy to become. Once the player is force sensitive, they must head to the academy to speak with a trainer who will help them become initiated into the academy. This trainer can give them missions that will allow the aquisition of schematics and parts to make their first lightsaber. Missions can also include ways to learn to control the force to give the most basic of force powers. One final mission can allow the trainer to see that the player can use their new saber and force powers to best effect, thus allowing them to enter the Academy as an initiate.

Jedi Initiate.
After the player has completed the initial missions for their trainer, they can enter the academy and follow the guidance of their new trainer. Enter the padwan tree. As players progress through the tree they are able to make better lightsabers. As each generation of lightsaber becomes available, they should have to run a mission to aquire the schematic for it. The mission comes directly from the trainer and is not too challenging. The current padwan tree stays as it is and players may progress through it normally. At the end of the padwan tree, after the 3.2 million exp is earned, they must talk to their trainer for one final difficult mission that grants them Padwan status.

Padwan.
As a padwan you must be under the guidance of a Jedi Master. The player may select which Jedi master they wish to train under, and each one has different missions that aid progression through the tree. Perhaps each master grants the padwan an extra unique force power that the player may learn to use for their advantage. Once a master is chosen, they are the players teacher until knight status is acheived.
At the end of each of the four padwan skill columns, you can have the player run a trial. The completing each of the four trials allows for the player to attain the last box in their skill column and once all four are acheived you can have a final trial that grants the player the last box of the tree. Thus the player has completed the trials and is now a Jedi Knight.

Master.
The path to master from knight is currently suitable. Require the player to teach other padwan their skills and accumulate AP to attain the master status.

The Academy.
Make the academy on a remote planet, only accessible by jedi. I understand that during the current time period, there were not enough jedi to make up an academy, but thats already blown out of the water so theres no trouble there.

to major things i would like to see in game is
1. crystal/pearl quest for jedi only.........the market on starsider is getting ridiculous with non jei afk looters stealing all crystals so they can go and sell them for 600k+.....i think u should make it where a jed has to go on a quest and the reward is a crystal/pearl depending on dif of quest

2.Ok this should of been in the game right when jedi started....we need HOODED CLOAKS almost every moving the jedi have hooded cloaks that cover the head.....this should only be for jedi only......a way to do this maybe is give us cloaks with option of either putting hood up or down like the set color option for armor.....also they should be able to obtain the cloaks from a quest...or so
Also to take care of the armor stat problem either have the jedi e able to craft the cloak himself and make it so it can go over armor...2 have the cloak be like comp armor stats where only jedis can make the cloaks and depending on resource make the cloak have stats similiar to adv comp...doesnt matter how u guys ddo it but EVERYONE THAT IS JEDI WANTS TO BE SEEN IN A HOODED CLOAK
thanks

here's a grand idea, how bout the lightside users go an visit Luke on Yavin at the temple (Bounty hunters cant get around the Sphere of Influence for the temple) And then Luke will train you, given he's the only Jedi. Eventually there'll be other Jedi players that will hang around there to teach new padawan players and some can fall to the dark side or the light side, how is this such a complicated idea for missions for Jedis??
