Thread: Lithium Upgrade v7.7.1
I am still being redirected to random threads after posting. I don't want to go to some thread that I'm already viewing in a different window, I want to go back to the thread that I posted in.
Posting still suffers from the problem where something is not completely loading (looks like some worthless gif) so the typing area remains white and unusable, and I have to switch to html mode and back to graphical mode (sometimes several times) or reload the page before I'm able to write a post.
Did you fix the problem where writing a very long post will send you to the login screen after posting? The post goes through anyway but this is a very stupid, annoying bug and frequently leads to double-posting.
save password does not work
smileys do not work
idle for > 5 minutes = log out
cannot text color
advanced search function completely broken now. I cannot search for anything past 6/26 it seems.
I mean this constructively, but this is easily the worst forum software I have used in 10 years of forum hopping. I am curious what the "redeeming quality" of such a aggressively user-unfriendly forum system is?

The limit is now 60K I believe. Edit: 60K and keep in mind that includes HTML. So if you have a 40K char post + 25K of HTML code, it's not gonna go through.
When Iclick on a Dev tracker post that's a reply to a thread it takes me to the top of that page, not to the specific Devpost.
And I had to/was prompted to re-enter my name/password to post this reply. ![]()
My last few replies yesterday dissappeared... ![]()
Search only shows really old posts for me, too.

Any particular reason the forum name of the post on Dev Tracker was removed?

I'd like to know as well... I liked being able to see if I was going to the In_Testing forum or a profession specific forum...

Jump-to First Unread Message – within a specific forum (not from the master list) if you click on the number in the “NEW” column, it will take you automatically to the first new post in that thread since you last visited it. Optionally, users can choose to have the jump-to functionally by default when clicking on the subject line by navigating from “My Profile” to the “Preferences” tab, and in the “Linear Format Settings” section, enabling “Automatically Jump To The First Unread Message In A Thread.”
This feature does not work on mozilla. Seeing as how this feature would be server-side programming, Why does it only work in IE?
I am using FireFox, specifically, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040514 Firefox/0.8.0+ and that feature seems to work alright. What version of Moz are you using, and what's the behavior you're seeing?
If you don't want to have that as the default behavior for every thread you click. Try using the number in the "New" column on the message board overview instead of enabling it in your profile. Clicking that number next to a thread will give you the same effect. Takes you to the first unread msg in that thread. On the DEV Tracker, the numbers in the NEW column are not working... Clicking on the subject takes you to the originating post rather than the "tracked" post by a DEV... When a DEV replies to two or three posts in a thread, all of the previous threads are highlighted as "new/unread" and clicking the subject to any of them will point to the same originating post, even if their reply is a second or third page reply...
Whoops, we noticed that too. It has been fixed. Any fixes we're making right now will be going out tonight.
