Ooooooooooooh yeeeeeeaaaaahhh
Complete overhaul of the Galactic Civil War system
This sounds very interesting...
Hutt Casino: This is a major Social Adventure geared towards Dancers, Musicians, and fast-talking Smugglers. It is also going to be a great place just to hang out. It was moved from Publish 9 to Publish 10 because our art resources will be cranking on Space during that time. Believe me, it will be worth the wait!
Hermit Quest fixes
Smuggler revamp
*Mr Burns' hand thing* Excellent
Death Watch Bunker This is a Major adventure w/ integrated profession requirements and some amazing new loot:
- Bounty Hunter Armor
- Mandalorian Armor
- Jetpacks (Yes, Jetpacks!)
- New weapons
- New art
Veteran Rewards system
Badge Display system
Loot enhancements
Err...w00t!
Yay!!
A Veteran's Rewards system that will allow you to earn a bunch of cool things, up to and including an exclusive starship when "Jump to Lightspeed" launches!
Improved Line of Sight calculations (no more shooting through walls etc.)
Jump to Lightspeed Beta announcement
Cool!
Thanks Q!!
I still don't understand why I can't edit my posts on these threads.
I'm so tempted to copy/paste my other post and fix the mistake. They drive me crazy! ><
I'm really glad to hear about the "veteran rewards", and not just because I may fall into that category.
I have always thought one of the true shortcomings in SWG was the lack of any time based advancement/benefits. Just like looted schematics are SWG's way of preserving a player-based economy, these rewards will try to fill the void of any time based content.
With the exception of equipment and credits, there is no difference between a newbie who grinds up to master in a week and someone who has been a dedicated master for a year in terms of game systems. Combat players will never have more HAM, crafters don't get more schematics as they age. This was supposed to be the answer to EQ's "leveling" dillema, but I always felt it wasa mistake to exculde it totally.
I'm excited about the potential to have a unique ship, and would really like other things like this - especially wearables. How about often requested clothing items like Jedi-style robes or the dancer's skirt Leia wore in ROTJ which appears in screenshots on this site but has never been found in game. It's art we know exists - and this is a great way to get it in. Make it a quest only vets can complete even (not simply who has the most skillpoints in heavy combat wins).
Also glad to hear about the Hutt Casino, which I hope will be behind some of those large locked doors at Jabba's Palace. I really like the true "theme park" feel there now, between the static missions and the corvette (the new "E-" ticket ride), and making the place more of a destination is the best idea I can think of.

BIG improvement on communications and PR. /curtsey
I LOVE the idea of CHARACTER TRANSFER!!!!
Now i can move some of my good characters from the dead galaxies and put them somewhere where they can do some actual use for committed players.
One question, will we be able to move one character into the same galaxy as another character on the same account and have them both co-exist as if I went out and bought a second account? I have a character that I really want to move from Ahazi, and I think he would go nicely on Corbantis with my combat player and guild.

I liked everything else. Keep it up.
And don't let these naysayers put you down, I don't blame you a bit for wanting to put your hands into the veritable hornet's nest called Star Wars Fan base! GO DEVS!
You do realize it's probably going to cost you around $50 to move your character (NO ITEMS).
Regarding the letter. That's all fine and dandy, except the priorities are all wrong. Combat balance, and GCW should be the #1 priorities. People are leaving the game every day because of this. The combat balance has been pushed back time and time again and it really wouldn't surprise me if this continued to happen.
P.S add wookiee armor now! ![]()
Character Transfer!!!
Wow this will give me the chance to try out new things without re-doing the grind again!!!

Question:
How many of these promises are empty or decieving?
You promised us a healable mind pool in the same manner as health and action are.
You promised us direct planet-to-planet flights.
You promised us shorter wait times on shuttles just to reveal that is only for shuttleports.
You promised us cool, new, useful droids only to make them absolutely useless and a hassle then completing the tasks yourself. Seeing how they require you first have the skill yourself.
You make changes behind our backs without majority consent and then fail to even list those changes on the patch notes.
Answer me this:
When will the lies come to an end and you "developers" get your act together and start working for this game and the community instead of against it?
Someone has a case of the Mondays![]()
I don't remember anyone saying "I promise to..."
Everything sounds great, but I'm assuming the Bounty Hunter armor and Mandalorian armor will be unwearable by us poor Wookiees. Hosed again. Guess I'll continue to wear my tin cans and twigs, and if I get any of this cool armor I'll simply store it along with all the Wookiee-unwearable rewards from the faction themeparks.
"Oh thank you Admiral Akbar, a tiny flight suit!"

Sounds good 'cept for 2 things:
1) Veteran rewards: This isjust really mean to ALOT of people and really isn't needed. Add something that everyone can get Veterans will be able to get it all the same while letting late comers actually have a chance!
2) Server switching: I really dont see a need for this. Allowing people to swap characters through servers just takes away the purpose of having chosen proffesions.
Vet rewards is a fairly common thing to mmogs. I see nothing wrong with rewarding those who have stuck with a game for years. It also acts as a status symbol and reward for time invested.
