sorry, meant for the slicing choosing for Master as well - since there really are no perks at master other than the 25% off faction stuff (which is also very useful).

DE needs help, soo they have dedicated 2 publishes to DE. Some of the next publish and almost all of the next. So dont complain until we see what they have done. After that you can say what ever you want because it has been released. Until then ask for there idea.

And if they're ideas are terrible and actually HURT the DEs or the players hate the new changes?

We aren't supposed to get involved intil AFTER they have been published to live?

I'm sorry. But if you believe this then you do not believe that the players opinion hold any value because if the players opinions to changes DO hold value they need to be heard BEFORE changes are put to production NOT AFTER.

The communication is the reason A LOT of players have stayed with this game as long as they have. Communication was GREAT during Beta and shortly after release. Even with the problems the good communication gave many confidence and hope that the devs cared about the game. It has gotten steadly worse to the point of non-exsistant.

You seem to think this is ok. That's fine. I guess you don't need it. But without a good product, many of the players that have stayed are going to just give up and leave. Don't believe me? Look around you.

With the release of the next publish will come test Center update notes. You can always read those. What do you wana know? Ask me maybe I know something that can help you out. Please be specific. Also do you belong to a PA or a group of some sort? Do they have any information that might be usefull to you? I am just tired of people complaining we are not babies and dont need to be grouped with them. Simple questions if you want more in depth detail please Post a request on the DE forums asking for a general idea of what is comming. They will not answer really specific questions. Ask for a outline of the upcomming project.

WHAT?

Raph made UO. Raph is the one that decided that uber loot wouldn't be in SWG.

So......you think Raph just ignored what he learned in UO and decided to piss of players by not having uber loot?

I think it is obvious that Raph had reasons for there not being uber loot. Raph as stated in the past that (at least) one reason for this was that it conflicted with crafters.

So.........your saying that Raph didn't know what he was talking about?

No, I said I'd be interested to see how Raph Compared the gaming value of the loot system in UO compared to that in SWG. Seeing as how Raph has a unique perspective on both games and both systems, I believe it would be worthy to read what he had to say on the topic. (I Actually like Raph, and alot of his "Game Concept" Ideas.) Alot of what he writes is more informative/valuable/interesting then the normal responses given here.

UO is still going and still selling new copies of the game. Will SWG in 5-6 years?

The point is, Loot does not destroy crafting. As is evident in UO and other games.

I'm telling you what Raph said. He said that he thought uber loot would hurt the crafters of the game.

My only proof, since the beta boards have been deleted, is the fact that RAPH decided not to have uber loot in this game.

Ok...you call me a baby...Your a tool.

I've been an AVID supporter of this game since about a month ago when communication basically halted. Check my record.

What part of the DE correspondent won't tell us anything because he has been instructed not to don't you understand? That post I quoted was from yesterday. He said in it that "this is all I can say".

Yes. I am part of a group. I only know 1 DE and he is the ONLY one in the group. So......the group is supposed to know about these changes how?

You can argue that communication is fine all you want. The facts show you are wronge. The subscriber numbers will show you wrong shortly unless something is changed.

The communication at this point is WORSE than it ever was in EQ.

But sadly, there IS uber-loot, and it IS hurting the game. It's called Holocrons. B/c of it, resources and crafters are BOTH scarce.

Okay TH,

I don't know if this has been brought up, but here goes.

The Carrion Spat missions on Bloodfin at least, on Corellia, are bugged. The mission comes up, the lair looks like an outpost and it doesn't pay out. On top of that, the waypoint will not go away after completing the mission, instead, it tells you mission incomplete if you don't decide to abandon the mission.

Thanks...

Higher level Corellian Butterfly missions are bugged like this, too. If you see one (around level 22, I think) that shows a power node (or whatever they are called)for the mission picture, don't take it, because you won't get paid.

6 weeks?? Paaa Leeaaasee. So hows that "monthly" story arch coming along? The only thing you'll see from this Dev team in a timely fashion is the completely bugged/incomplete/content lacking space expansion!! Why? because that will get another $40 out of each of us!

Oh and TH, I love this new level of communication were getting.

For something that is supposed to make it easier to 'focus on the issues', the changes to the forums have been a dreadful failure in my opinion. Now, instead of having topics with meaninful names and some semblance of staying-on-subject, we have one uber-thread a week that has so many pages or random thoughs, gripes, requests, etc., that it is impossible to read everything without wasting huge amounts of time. I have not read the rest of this thread, only the last page as I came here to post a reply.

I just do not understand how this change to the forums has made it easier for the devs to track issues.

again.... just want to voice my opinion...

Since these new forum changes came into effect.... we have had LESS response from devs...

I guess now they think they can just make a "Round Table Discussion" (which is lame to begin with, they could have at least came up with a Star Warsish name for it, aka, Galactic Senate In Session Week of x/x/x) and just let us post.... but the thing is.... WHY WOULD I WANT TO READ A 24+ PAGE THREAD OF LOTS OF TOPICS I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT....

at least with the discussion forum, which could pick and choose which topics we wanted to talk about, or read about...

this place will be a ghost-town shortly, if the devs don't start living up to the "New Communication Strategy" that they have come up with.
