I just got visited by the sith a few moments ago. Got all my items looted, yet I cant use them. I click on the datapad and it says "you must first loot this item before you can use it". I thought it was something wrong with me so i logged out. Logged back in... same message. Checked the journal, and no record at all of the sith coming to visit me. Any other experiences like that or did something go wrong with me, And if I delete the datapad... will I get a revisit from the sith?

*UPDATE* Actually... my log did record the attack.. it is both marked complete and incomplete. Looks like im stuck here...

Just another tired, frustrated veteran.

Im trying to be patient, no visit first day, fine. Tonight I log on and start working good old fencer again been long time since I was at my peak PvP template - not 20mins into Killing gurks - I hit my spin attack hot key a pile of times run off to washroom come back and Ill be damned theres an Old Man.

Try to hit converse, s**t Ive got a dozen gurks on me cant converse aggroed, fearing something stupid will happen I try to kill damn gurks as quick as I can - Im down to last Gurk so far so good Old Man is hanging around following my moves.

Last Gurk almost dead - Old Man rushs off and despawns! What the F**K is that? I play for another two hours nothing, nadda, guildmates friends all gushing theyve been visited - I lead my guild Ive mastered more profs then any of em and collected all but 3 badges (non-prof) in game before they were even worth anything. Ive contributed to this game in every way concievable except for posts here mainly because I find most posts to be juvenile and worthless.

Ive run a city, Still lead a guild albeit a much smaller one then in past - Participated heavily in GCW, dropped bases, destroyed bases, killed and been killed for my faction. Ive helped countless new players figure things out, even avoided hologrinding for long time becuase I too beleived it wasnot good for the game, but in the end grinding them out gave me something to look forward to and kept me interested. Ive read in dev posts before that every concievable thing in this game is tracked and recorded - so I ask what justice is there in showing someone who's given so much to so many others not to mention logged an admitedly unhealthy 30+ hours a week of game play for a year across 3 accounts a glimpse of his goal then cruelly taking it away mere moments before you can grasp it simply becuase he couldnt get deaggroed fast enough?

Honestly this is the worst slap in the face Ive been dealt from you guys out of many and I truly hope you havent been so stupid as to place a timer on the Old Man's visits so that others will suffer the way I have - It is truly unconsionable....

And what response do I get from a ticket? The usual a tin-canned, general statement Im sure written by someone to be forwarded to every complaining person. Here this is a good vague, general but soothing we care statement - send this to everyone. Dont worry youll be viisited again, sometime in the future youll have to be patient......what a load of crap.

Anyways I apologize if Im just adding to your heap of bitter statements but my 3 accounts are also up in the air at the moment much as I hate to say it. Its been a trip and fun mostof the time. Ill give it a couple more days before I make my decision but honestly guys think before you leap.......dont you have anyone at SOE doing impact studies and risk analysis?

Some easily fixed things that are glaringly obvious could really save you alot of grief and save you accounts which is the whole reason your hosting this game in the first place. A personal touch even if its one line tagged on the bottom of a form letter goes a long way to soothing an upset customer......Hell I could give you hundreds of small suggestions to improve your CS which to be honest is the worst Ive found in any multiplayer online game. In every other game CSRs actually talk real time to legitimate complaints and make appearances in game makes a huge impact on player base gives them the impresion that CSRs really do care and are listening much more so then a post on a board somewhere......I could go on but....

Im beat, Ive cooled down some and maybe after I sleep on it Ill decide to stay I do know alot of good people in the game, most of whichare stepping gingerly around me as they announce their successful Old Man visit then apologizing profusely and telling me I really deserve it - they are good friends would be hard to walk away from them.

**edit** a CSR sent me here, i talked to the old man when i was on lokwell our server crashed so i reverted back to corillia, no old man no crystal but i still have the pics and the log. the csr told me that hes sorry and to come to here this will asnwer my question...bull crap im sick of this . all i want to know is will he come back to visit me now.

Ok well.......I was visited by the old man, but in reading on stratics earlier TH specifically said "the old man will send you on a quest. This however did not happen. Is this a bug?

Old Man visited me 10mins ago, runned after me in our guildhall. No bugging, just the conversation and I got the crystal.

I have done 6 professions in which 4 are "elite" ones I think plus the badges so im glowy.

I thought that I've wait like 4 months for the visit since I was like the last in "queue". Server is Farstar.

that just dont figure i have 24 professions over 90 badges and glowing waited 10 hours yestaerday and 7 hours to day and still no old man quess he dont like girls

I got an email from someone on Chilastra saying what is needed for the FS slot. It included finishing three theme parks (Nym's/Jabba's/faction), one mastered profession, both Warrens badges, the three Jedi POIs, and five other POIs.

Here's the situation on both my chars:

My Chilastra character's one and only Holocron said Master Droid engineer, which was fortunate since I was two boxes away from it at the time. I also mastered Artisan and Marksman. I haven't been to the Warrens, and I did the Rebel Theme Park up to the end of Nien Numb's missions (got my banner and stopped). Never started Nym's or Jabba's. (Jabba doesn't like me...)I did the three Jedi POIs, got to the point of "You feel a surge of the Force within you"... whatever one step down from glowing was. I hadn't known about the themepark/Warrens requirements until I'd spent all day today gathering POI badges, /check ing after each one...

Now, over on Tarquinas I have a medic. He's only mastered Medic, but he has done the Warrens and has both badges. No theme parks started on him... he's stalled because I need AXP to go anywhere. He has NO connection to the Force.

So, does it sound likely the Warrens badges aren't a requirement? I may have to spend this weekend doing themeparks on Chilastra...
