Holy responses Batman!

Well, Ill admit I didnt read the whole thread, but one thing that could be a reward would be a chunk of Faction standing..... assuming faction standing did anything. I think you guys have a goldmine with all the different factions (not Rebel/Imperial - I mean like Jawa and Valarian, etc..) if there was more of an actual impact on the game.

Oh, and offtopic - I'ld really like to be able to use the Republic Blaster I recieved from the Valarian missions. It looks cool, but without certification, its useless.

Don't know how hard it would be to implement in the SWG engine, but I'd like to see improved NPC reactions.

e.g. When I complete the full set of Boss Nass quests and have huge Gungan faction the Gungan's call out to mewhen they see me, "Meso see Utaka, Gungan friend!"

These reactions don't necessarily have tobe cosmetic only...

Let's I complete the Jabba quests and all of Jabba's low level thugs kow tow to my presence. Great!

Unfortunately, as I am sitting in a cantina, abounty hunter randomly spawns and says, "Utaka, Valarian sends her greetings." and starts blasting.

Here's a final thought... as onegrows in power, it becomes more likely people will seek one out for jobs, not the reverse.

Occassionally have an NPC send a player an E-mail asking for assistance. "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're our only hope."

Thanks for listening,

Utaka

I tell you what would be soooo cool....

One of those round chess sets that I see in the game sometimes. You know, the one like you saw on the "Falcon" that R2 and Chewy were sitting at playing? Cool stuff to decorate the house is worth questing for, since weapons and armor are ruled out.

sorry , but if the object you gain from a hard quest is less and always will be less than a crafter made items then it is POINTLESS to do them. Just run down to the closest crafter , get one made and run back to the quest completion point laughing at all the people who got a sub par item while you got a awesome one by not doing the quest. You have to make some items WAY better than crafters or the quest idea is out the window.

What reward would motivate you to do a long, hard quest or dungeon?

Please try not to remove the crafter market or unbalance the game or reinvent the game. Also please stay on topic.

Rares for houses are a great reward. Rare tree, off colored couch, giant Krayt skull, etc.

Another idea I am not to certain about, we could pick a single item, like hats/helmets that drop. Crafters would still make everything else, but this would be a unique item. Even make then not as good (low stats) but a different color. People would do a lot for a bright red composite helmet, even if it only had 10% resists. Rare pets that are normally untamable would be good too. I'm not talking anything powerful, but a CL 5 pet that looked like those silly birds on Lok would do the trick.

I think the Tissue drops are a great idea, good loot that enhances instead of detracts from the crafters.

What people are saying about Bulwark:
Bulwark.....simply brilliant.
As much as i would enjoy forcefully inserting Bulwark into a wood chipper, he has a point.
We've already went on record as saying you're fine with us Bulwark.

Quests
I think the one time schematic idea would be cool.

Dungeons
I think that it would be cool to have the materials that you need for the one time schematics. That means to actually get the item the player would have to get the schematics from the Quest and then complete a dungeon to actually recieve the material to build the item.

Very nice item Enhancers. So I can buy a top quality gun from a smith, and then just add this enhancer on it to make it truly amazing. (permanant enhancement, not like a powerup).

Or maybe something like really nice items, but requires a smith to "fix" it, so we still need the crafters to use these things.

Trophies I can display in house or PA nicer based on length and difficulty of Quests

Leads to other quests of the same family (reb imp, hutt, val, marder etc swooper)....like when you have finished by brother on talus has a problem and could use your help etc

Build an art piece from finishing all of the quests form a group..like 4 painting winter summer fall, spring or one frem each planet....etc for larger quests

Badges for mastering then dropping any master skill

Peices you have to get and a schematic for the Artasian/medic/entertainer to assemble into a nice but not overpowering item.

Native clothers/jewelry you can wear...

Different things....ATST in purple/pink get your minds out of the box

1) Credits and resources

2) Badges are cool. but if people could like target and inspect you. It could list your badges and rank!

3) Trophies - I would enjoy after a long quest or a tough battle to get a trophy from the imperials. =)

4) Faction - always good

theses are all fun rewards that shouldn't effect the game / economy much, or have anyone in arms they they weren't uber enough to get some phat piece of loot. Although i do like being able to stuff like that.

I say wee keep this in the concept of Star Wars. How about an item for wookies that allows them to have extra storage in a Wookie way so they do not need a backpack..like a bandoleer that doubles for a backpack.. They can wear it..look like a Wookie..and not have some stupid backpack on.

How about an item that we can run a quest for that shows our faction RANK..so I do not feel so bad spending hundreds of hours progressing it..possibly a schematic for a uniform at a few selected ranks through the faction tree. I would like to show off I am a Major or a General..wouldn't you? Your quest stuff is way too generic. I won't touch a themepark because it is so pathetic to date.

Here is an idea that would help crafting..How about a Bio-engineer quest that allows the engineer to make a schematic for a "pet style" A mohawk for a GSP...a foo-foo for one of those cute horsies on Naboo..even if it is for Bio Engineered only..do it.

My one major complaint is there is no distinguishing between classes in weapon looks..how about a quest for an insert..you can only do once and you have a choice of 20 some odd ones..and it really doesnt do anything to your weap but make it look different..like make the T-21 look cameoflauged....make a scattergun "chromed"... something like that..I really don't care if it makes the weapon better or not..just something for looks for gods sake.

My final request would be for a quest item I have dreamed of...it is called ABTMYPDWTHYTT (A Box That Makes Your Pets Do Wht The Heck You Tell Them) make it take up 30 inventory spaces..I don't care..or maybe a (TDNFGFRE) Teleportation Device Null Field Generator For Rebel Engagements. THis would truly be a noble quest item and not require any harm to the craftin industry whatsoever. Heck it would boost it by giving people money for missions where they get whacked by 4 rebeles teleporting 70m on your head..I actually had one standing on top of me from a teleport the other day..and yes he was shooting me.

How about a quest for a container that would only fit in a Safety Deposit Box and add storage..completeable once and non tradeable for god's sake. ( A little foresight since it is obvious that some people have none) (cough cough corpse insurance crafting box item dupe bug)

Thank you for your concern.

Leveled Bounty Hunter Pistol and Pistoleer Speed Branch to be uber. Found weapon speed is borked and tried to make it all better by telling myself my skills are uber. Skills then nerfed in patch and I was left with loving my uber pets. Uber pets were nerfed and I went to take pride in my harvesters. Harvesters were nerfed so I went to take pride in my faction missions. Faction missions were borked or gave pathetic loot. Ask my why I am posting on the boards?

Drops:

Special high power weapon powerups (muzzle etc)

Speical Schematics
These would be for special furniture Items, Special Armor, Special clothing, Special Weapons.
They would have to be brought to a Crafter to make the item(s) (for a price set by crafter)

Resource Drops
Whats with this 1 unit drop on resources? Its a waste of database space.
We just delete them anyway or noobs put them on the bazaar for 3k.
Drop amounts should be 500-10k and should not be the same resources as current shift.

I like the idea of new schematics or odd pets. What if we took it a step farther to encompass more of the classes.

1.) You receive an uber weapon as a drop.
a.) You can use the weapon but its effectiveness is not very high, like when you get a weapon out of your class.
b.) You take said weapon to smuggler who could splice (or something) the item into a schematic. The better the Smuggler the better chance of passing on the attributes of the weapon.
c.) The schematic is good for a limited amount of runs. Requires that a Master Weapon smith or something be able to create it.
d.) Same as creating a normal weapon, the better materials, the better the weapon.

So if you got the schematic got it spliced and had great materials, then you received a weapon that was better than the drop. If you used the weapon with out doing anything else then it was a good weapon but could have been better.

2.) You receive an egg (pet)
a.) You need a BE to raise the pet for your, The pet takes longer to raise then normal but can be used by anyone.
b.) The BE who raises the bet can make more pets like it after sampling the pet.

3.) Droid Schematics, same as 1. Only creates a vary high quality droid schematic like level 7 armor or something.

I guess my idea is to make it this uber drop valuable from the start and also more valuable if you spend the time to work with it.
