This change does not help at all. In a busy location, there will always be a player comming by that will stimulate the spam module.


It does reduce the value of the module somewhat. If it is in a relativly unpopulated area it will have to be stationed at a choke point (like a starport enterance) in order to be stimulated. Putting it on patrol or in an open area is likely to be ineffective, as there is likely to be nobody to stimulate the bark. This wouldn't be a problem if the "close by" range were the same as /say range, but I suspect it is not.


The best that can be said for this change is that it will avoid repetition in a very static environment (like a cantina with only AFK performers), or when nobody is nearby.


If the droid barked, and there was nobody to hear, would it make a sound? Perhaps this was done to reduce server load.

i really pains me to say it, but the De updates been a let down.
I whish it wasnt but to me it is.

i am very concerned about the coloring duration



i know many dont see it as important, but i do cause its a huge fun factor to color droids.


good the 20 call duration was more then silly, but i am worried that its stilll way to low after change, i heart 50 calls now?


well sorry, thats still rediculous low. droid color kits are NOT a money maker they are a fun giver. pls give us the fun, nobody buys that kits if the color wears off to fast.


it should be a bit more realistic, make it 2000 calls or even permanent.


pls notice that we DEs cant make big bucks with it anyways, its for having fun in the game and get immersion.


pls think carefully about that duration. dont make it to short, it destroys only the fun.


me as DE never again colored my own droids cause of the low duration :/ and well i can make tonns of that tool, but saw it as waste of resources

I will buy a maintenance droid. Anything that saves me time is worth money.

I wont buy a harvester droid. why, if it doesn't let me harvest more.

I agree with you...Mostly.


It's personal preference on the barker droid...If you want to use one, go for it. You won't see me using one. I think it's wrong to have it auto spam....But hey...I'm not in charge....At least it gives the DEs something better to do...then debate whether or not to drop the class...lol


Combat droids...Going from Pocket monsters to Battlebots.....Not sure what's worse.....
