actually I have been a master musician since August......... there's your problem........ you want to AFK and you're ok with everyone else in the group AFKing but you think the leader should have to stayATK and babysit you all... WRONG... you must be a hologrinder... please do not ask for things for a profession that you care nothing about...


the entertainer community would never ask for something as lame as being able to take over leadership of a band if the current leader goes afk, becausemany of usdespise you AFKers and most of us would never group with an AFKer in the first place


we have much more pressing problems to deal with, of course I'm sure you have no idea what they are since you've probably never played an ent ATK for longer than it takes to run your macro

Okay, apparently I wasnt clear enough.


I already will apologize to the two people who read my post in an offensive way, as it sounded more attacking than I meant it.


The situation: I am a member of the coronet cantina dancing away...

Lets assume that I am not leader.

If the leader goes LD, and the leadership goes to an AFK entertainer, we are stuck with him as the leader.

More people dancing = more xp for everyone.

The leader can not cleanse the group by kicking people not dancing, nor can he get people to join the group since only he can invite.

We should be able to revoke his leadership to get a leader able to lead.


Another problem I noticed while entertaining... you cant kick outside group invite range. I have had to jump on my bike to hunt them down before they get off planet. What is the problem in implementing a kick for members out of range?


Also, buffing in cantinas can not yet be done, but is hopeful to entertainers and presents a hassle to the group buffer. Player City cantinas have the perk of allowing buffing inside the cantina. Could we get something similar for cantinas in coronet and other static cities?


Also, the /ui action command for selecting group members only works up to member 7 I believe, also something that could be great if fixed.


The visual effect of the dancers are somewhat disappointing... and dont count as a flourish which would make them somewhat useful.


Group members who are LD dont leave for a long time, often going unnoticed by the group leader for awhile. If there was a (ld) next to their name in the group list... that would help out a ton.


The band commands to get stopped players going again have limited and sporatic effectiveness that I have not yet been able to isolate the reasons.


The tumble bots using the activate clone command should probably be fixed since it isa glitch.


We receive too much spatial spam about the xp we are getting and it is hard to read the real dialog in the spatial chat box.


Entertainers havent had any love either you guys and they are a profession too so just throwing some of these ideas in for the "in concept"

I'd also like to have an option to take over a group should the leader go AFK or, in my case, be out of range. Many times people come to me for training and my leader is unavailable to group the applicant. Leaving the group is a pain as it would mean I would be solo til my leader came back. Maybe if there wasn't a distance limit on /makeleader or if the leader goes AFK after a few minutes the second person in line will automatically become leader.


Oh, before you jump on me and say I'm an AFK holo grinder...I've never mastered a holo profession, never macro'd to grind a profession...for that matter, never gound a profession. I earned all of mine the hard way, long before holo grinding existed.

Its something they are working on, but I dont know the details atm. I know its something that they want to address.





Just take out skill tapes of that quality (anything higher than +1 bascially) from the loot table on the containers and have high level NPCs drop high level SEAsagain.

A few things I'd love to see... piddly, yes.. but I'd still like to see them.


1. Another hotkey bar, or the ability to "pull down" a couple more rows. I love using the hotkey icons, but feel a little limited by the two rows we have available. (if this is already ingame, smack me upside the head and educate me).


2. A platform for the Ticket Collector to stand on at the major spaceports (*cough*Coronet*cough*). This way he can stand proudly, seen by all,above the masses of beings waiting to board. That, or get rid of the wait..


3. More, simpler, icon choices for macros. The letters A-Z or simple numbers would be great. I recently made 3 macros to harvest each typeof organic resource, but had to place funky faces as the icons instead of using a "B" for Bone, "M" for Meat or "H" for Hide.

Nym's themepark. The reward is a Carbine. Though I think it's the wrong damage type. It should be kinetic (slug thrower) but it isn't.

Damage types? Pikeman has kinetic and electricity... energy if you get that UBER rare looted lance...

What's the point in having new discussion threads every week when you only discuss with us the first couple of hours anyway?

Maybe you should answer some of the questions and discuss some of the topics before you just move on.

I, for one, would love to see vehicles and racing looked at more carefully and improved upon. Races are a player event that are virtually invulnerable to griefing, and they're overall fun for players.They'realso agreat moneymakingopportunity; I've made allof my small fortune from racing in player events or selling the holocrons I got forthe holidays back inDecember. Because of this,it seems to me that vehicles shouldhave more attention paid to them. I'd understand if this doesn't make it intothe next couple of publishes, if ANY, due to the constant problems with professions, duping,exploiting, and othermajor issues, but, again, I see that player held races are a fun, RP(or not) event that's extremely difficult to crash, and requires large amounts of patience and coordination to mess up, something mostgriefers don'thave. With that being said,I'd like to bring some issues I have on vehicles, if I may.



  • The Vehicles don't seem fast enough.

Self explanatory. If anyone's watched ROTJ, you'll know that speederbikes are extremely fast, MUCH more so than the vehicles we have right now. I understand that this is needed because the planets aren't actually planet sized, but the vehicle speed issue brings me to my next issue:



  • Vehicle upgrades?

If races are to be incorporated nicely, I'd like to see upgradeable vehicles in the future, such as an engine that would increase the speed and acceleration of a Swoop, but make it far less durable, and vice versa. Or you could have simpler additions, such as a temporary boost to speed, or a manuvering fin to improve handling.



  • NPC Tracks?

Ok, I'm just going out on a limb now. How about static vehicle tracks?Theycould be placed in certainstatic cities suchas Mos Eisley, Doaba Guerfel, and other cities that recieve little attention. Races could be held every ten minutes orso,and would berelatively easy to implement:Racer registers with NPC,goes to starting line, and races onelap around the stadium.To prevent griefing,anbarrier could be put up behind the racersonce the race starts.



  • Improvement upon existing system?

PCs already set up races, so why not have the ability to set up "Racing Vendors"? I.E., a vendor-like machine/NPC that can be placed anywhere (eliminating the need for lots being wasted every time you want to hold a race). A player needs to "use" the vendor, and a time will be saved and e-mailed to the vendor's owner. I don't think this would be too hard to implement as the code already exists (in a sense), the only adjustments made would be: A) Making theracing vendor seperate from the owner's vendor count B) Allowing the racing vendors to be placed outdoors and C) Having the racers need only use the vendor on a mount to have the time sent to the owner.


That's allI can think of right now,and I'm going to bed.I hope this gets considered for a later publish. Or at all.
