Thread: Publish 7: Major Features

Can we please add the following into the Publish 7 coming up


1) the Surrender Skill Tree Button - this allows those holo grinding to be able to surrender ALL skill points in a tree instead of having to do it all at oneskill at a time. i.e. Master Image Designer - just hit the novice ID slot and hit the Surrender Skill Tree button and then have it do the same of Yes with it returning all 63 points back into the pool


2) the /undeclare function - so those who don't want to run inside a base or have to hunt for a officer to go covert. keep the 1 hour time frame.


3) Vehicle customization - make these be on a permanent basis, not a temporary that desolves over time.


4) Spy Ops in Player Cities - ability to place lvl 0-MBH spy ops in a player city that has BOTH bounty hunter trainers and terminals only.


5) Shuttle/Transport terminals - make being able to purchase longer distance tickets, instead of jumping from Rori to Naboo to Coronet to Yavin 4, allow us the ability to purchase a ticket from Rori to Yavin4 at the cost of all 4 tickets and the ability to go from Rori to Yavin 4 w/o all the stops


6) Slot Tieups - removal of the slots in Minefields and Faction Scanners to being able to be placed. Also, lower the bases slot consumption from 6 to a manageble 2-3. too many folks in towns have their slots with harvesters and factories. Either lower those, or raise the levels from 10 slots to 15-20 slots per character.


7) Faction Recruitors in Player Cities - same as #4 above. placed with faction terminals.


8) T-21, Flame Throwers, and other High Lvl Wpns - make these only useable by folks that are at least 1-2 lvls in a skill in the Profession Trees. Too many ppl are able to weild these WITH NO SKILL what so ever and can deliver the same damaging punch or harder as those who have Mastered other skills. just like musician, where you can not HOLD a instrument that is out of your skill range, neither should folks be able to do so with wpns.


9) Remove the Imperial Faction Hatred to all races non-human - this is unfair to all non-human races that have to pay 1.5-3x the ammount for something that humans can get cheap. they work for the same amount of FPs, then we should be able to buy with same ease. a Lvl 4 Imperial base costs me 178,000 faction points as a wookie, but even being at a colonal, I can not get one cause my max withholding limit of FPs at one time is 60,000.


10) Wookie Armor - can we get it into the game now? there is too many folks able to wear 80% Kinetic/Energy armor with 59% base on all stats and can take out a wookiee easily despite being buffed, fed, and enhanced to protect them.


11) Themeparks Loot - Make it subseptible and loot varied to the Race and Profession of the player. what good is a ATAT/TIE fighter suit and helm and StormTrooper armor to a wookiee? What do I need an Sword or tailor schematics if I am not a swordsman or a tailor? Make some armor for different races that ONLY they can wear. and make schematics for that ones top most profession at time, i.e. BH, Commando, etc...


12) Themeparks Recorders - These were supposed to be a constant ability to be able to do a park, and see them, to redo it again. Instead, they only reset you ONE TIME and that is it. Hard to get anything to collect, like a fill ST suit or Mabari Suit if you can only do it one time.


13) Player Cities Faction Scanners/Turrets/Mines - if a city is declared a certain faction, make it able to place scanners, mine fields, and turrets within the cities, like hidden ones behind homes or as guard towers in City Streets. Make the ability to have those faction NPCs wander the streets too to keep eyes out for intruders.


14) Faction Scanner Area Removal - these are easily placed ina base and take up not lots, and the area of placement is not a problem, but when you place one in the wild or in a city, it has to have a radious the same as a City Hall to be able to place. Keep the perimiter of scanning, but remove the Perimiter Barrier.


15) Cross-Galaxy Chat - these do not work the /tell galaxy.friend and the /addfriend galaxy.friend commands do not work.


16) Rank Markers - Can we now be able to place our Ranks next to our names in the factions. I paid alot to become a Colonal in the imperial forces, I should have Colonal next to my name


17) Ability to Rename Vendor Placed Items/Titles - some things like Krayt Tissue comes up with Blaster named words and folks think they are different things other than what they are looking for. Crafted items can be named, but non-crafted can't be named on the Vendors as such. Also, the ability to rechange a crafted wpn or clothinging/armor from the idiotic name a maker places on it would be helpful.


18) City Banning Folks - Even though they are banned from using cantinas, shuttles out, and cloners, folks that were already stored cloninfo in these or bought round trip tickets into the city from another city are still able to use these services. Make the ban button or command from the Mayor/militia do just that. BAN THEM FROM THE CITY. If a banned player is or comes into the proximity of a banned city, they are then warned that they will be flagged/TEFd and that they must leave. This includes Covert players too. if they do not leave, they turn RED and are attackable by ANYONE of the city inhabitants, security, or forces. If they try to purchase RT tickets into the city or already have them, they can fly in but their return tickets become null and void and unsuseable to leave out the shuttle. If they have stored their cloning info prior to ban, and they die, they are sent to a different STATIC city and the money they had payed to be cloned is forfeited.


19) Resource Grind Professions - make the ability to place a certain types of resources in your bag so when you macro, it will auto add the resources needed to make the items. We can macro all up to actually having to choose the certain resources, but this is a tedious and long timing professions.


20) Player City Streetsigns - ability, like lamp posts, to place streetsigns if we want to.


21) BH Jedi Camping. - Make BH terminals give out the Jedi mission to only give out that One time, instead of 30-40 BHs able to get the same missions to hunt for 1 Jedi. I watch a jedi initiate in our city hide in his private house as 8 MBHs stood outside telling him to come out, harrassing him and swaering at him and really giving the BH profession a bad name. If a BH is luckily to get this mission, then he should be the only one that has it. These missions should be the hardest to get. Making them and the hunts all the more sweeter

  • There is a 30 second delay after you call for a vehicle/mount/pet/droid before it will generate.

Why? This is a very long time to sit and wait. You can't be in combat when you call them, so why the delay? I can see a 30 second delay to recall one after it's been stored, but not initially.


Fire Blankets will give Doctors the ability to extinguish flame with a /extinguishflame command that will enable the use of the fire blanket. To balance out the Fire Blanket, using the blanket drains the “mind” of the doctor.


Why not have the doctors/medic/combat medics make them, whoever, but let anyone use them. Why should only a doctor be able to throw a blanket around someone?


New Mounts: Players have two new mounts available to them with Publish 7; Banthas and Cu-Pa’s!


Good news on the new mounts, but I have a couple favorite ones I've been waiting for forever, and they seem quite logical...the gualama and tybis. Are these two being considered for inclusion?


Overall, I'm very excited about the changes. I'm not sure about the crafting experimentation one, since I didn't understand it, but the fact that we'll be able to finally move things up/down (although I'm disappointed about no twisting), and lights/candles that actually work, makes me drool over this publish. Woohoo!!! Thank you.

I have 2 questions in regards to the droid portion of the update...



first, would it be possible in this update to allow Master DE's to call more than 1 droid at a time like the Master CH's are capable of doing? This would help alot when needing to repair a damaged Combat droid. At this point in time, if I need to repair my combat droid I have to find another person who happens to have a droid with the repair module.


Secondly, I did not see any mention of any new droid models that will be released with this new update? I read in a previous article that there will be new models available, has that changed? I sure hope not.


Just thought I would ask,

1) the Surrender Skill Tree Button

Wow 5 whole minutes to get rid of an entire class. What WOULD you do with that 5 minutes back?

2) the /undeclare function

You have to let your superiors know yr going covert. Makes sense to me.

3) Vehicle customization

These won't be permanent so that artisans have a steady stream of biz. If they were permanent, someone would buy a kit once, use it and never again. Not what the artisans or devs want.

4) Spy Ops in Player Cities

Uhm....what?

5) Shuttle/Transport terminals

I agree this would be nice. Allow you to make a package trip and place stops wherever.

6) Slot Tieups

Personal lots will never be raised to 15-20 I don't think, unless spaceships take up lots, which would be silly.

7) Faction Recruitors in Player Cities

Would be cool

8) T-21, Flame Throwers, and other High Lvl Wpns

People who have made it to teh Elite professions ARE high level. You can't advance up the flamethrower tree at all without access to the weapon. The T21 is a great weapon, but it's also slow. By the time someone reaches master it's blazingly fast.

So you shouldn't have tried to be an Imp Wokiee. Get real here, the Empire HATES non-humans and doesn't really consider them people. Why teh heck would it cost the same faction points to buy something? If you really wanan be a top level Imp, you should make a human.

10) Wookie Armor

Wookiee armor would indeed be a nice thing to have in game.

11) Themeparks Loot

While it would be neat to see varied loot based on your class, since someone could have a crafting class and a combat class as master which would it give? The easy answer when you get something you can't use is to sell it.

12) Themeparks Recorders

Uhm..loot farming isn't a good thing necc. There are reasons they don't allow you to do all the theme parks as many times as you want.

13) Player Cities Faction Scanners/Turrets/Mines

I don't care about the GCW so ignoring this

14) Faction Scanner Area Removal

15) Cross-Galaxy Chat

Actually, except with occcasional glitches, this works great. You're probably not capitalizing things right. it's /tell Galaxy.Friend not /tell galaxy.friend

16) Rank Markers

This would be an improvement indeed for overt players.

17) Ability to Rename Vendor Placed Items/Titles

The examine info is always corect, ignore any title you see for an item and look at it more carefully before you buy it

18) City Banning Folks

Again with the not caring about the GCW

19) Resource Grind Professions

Big no here. Unattended macros are against the EULA. Moreover, they're lame.

20) Player City Streetsigns

Would be nice

21) BH Jedi Camping.

Don't care about BH or Jedi

I suggest at some point either for publish 7 or 8 that you also make rancors mountable . I just wish at one point a rancor could be a form of travel as well as the other creatures . If rancors were mountable players with rancors wouldn't have to have a lower level rancor (so that they can have another creature out to ride) to get some where faster but no so fast that you ditch your rancor. but i guess you guys heard this a few times already, and might already be working on that so i just want to let you know that i'm waiting for it .

i would like it if you guys could find someway to repair wounds of At-St's cause getting 9k faction points is really hard and then have someone burn your at-st while ur incaped was really sucky. Here are some ideas, you could develop a at-st repair kit or you could have at-st's repaired at a vehicle repair garage cause they were used as vehicles and also as death machines in the movies.

Personally, I like this idea, to an extent. You can get your vehicle, mount and/or pet anywhere, which is very cool. You can't get them immediately after combat, which is a very fair trade-off for being able to call them anywhere. However, you don't get your pet/mount/vehicle for 30 seconds after you call it? What is the idea behind that?


Someone may have already said this, I don't know, but I think a minor addendum for this is in order. I feel it should be changed so that the 30-second delay happens only if the player is not in a city zone or camp. There should be SOME reason for camps to exist, because as it stands now, nearly no one uses camps just to heal, they head to town and get it done there. And making us stand outside a starport for 30 seconds while we wait for our vehicle to generate for no apparent reason seems dumb, when it is supposed to be a safe zone, of sorts. After all, in my line of thinking, if you're not going to be attacked, you shouldn't have to wait, and if you are going to be attacked, then you have to finish the combat and wait 60 seconds to call your mount/vehicle/pet. However, if you're in the wild, and could be attacked at any second by who knows what beasts and/or NPCs, it makes more sense to enforce a wait.


Just my opinion.

They are all ready the uber PvP toon and need a serious "Combat Balance" so there really is no reason to give them this or the much begged for revive. Remember guys, you are the Biological Warefare Experts remember? I have seen in your forums a number of times you telling everyone that we are confused with WWII medics that you are a assault class yadda yadda yadda. Well Guess What Guys!! You can't have it all. You want the combat you have it, but you can't whine about not getting fire blankets or revive.

Crap I couldn't edit..

This is my only problem with publish 7...

If I completed my destroy mission I would have to wait a minute and a half before I can go anywhere. The downtimes in this game are unbelieveable making the game not fun because I'm sitting down more then playing. First the 10 minute wait for a shuttle or transport. (time to use the bathoom and get something to drink and hope you don't miss the shuttle again). 1 minute and 40 second incap which sometimes if you are lucky you get a 2 minute incap... (time for another drink). As you can see, sometimes I spend more time out of the game than in. Now another minute and a half to call your vehicle AFTER you have completed a mission. Mission complete, wait 60 seconds, call vehicle, wait another 30 seconds. Now you have to hope something else doesn't spawn to incap you. Which makes it another 2 minutes and 10 seconds for you to move on. How about not adding the 30 spawn timer or reducing it to 10 seconds and taking the timer out completely for people in camps.

Please for the love of God, don't make us sit much more then we already do.

So you no longer need to be in a camp or in a city zone... but even if i am... do i still have to wait 30 seconds for my called pet or vehicle to generate?
