This guy over here still doesn't get that expansions pay for staff/more staff to program combat revamps and such

Actually, I think the 6 million buck they bring in every month shoudl go to paying for more staff to fix things and stuff. The expansions are just for extra cash, which they will need because the expansions will be so buggy they will need MORE developers to fix the expansions bugs, on top of the bugs of the original game.
Fix the base game first, THEN work on the expansion.
Actually, looking back at the server populations we used to have last summer post-launch and well into the holiday season, my money is one the bet that this game really needs to sell expansions aka get subscriptions.
If it's new subscriptions first through expansions, 14 day free-trial offers (what other MMOG the scope of SWG does this for *new* accts?) then I'm all for it if it means getting the resources needed to a combat revamp freakin right, ya know?
I think a shakeup like this with TH taking over is a good thing in a dynamic enterprise like an MMOG. SOE isn't new at this game so I'm willing to trust in what they deem necessary to keep the game alive, fun, and profitable.
I'm not taking anything away from any of you folks that are tired of waiting either. We're all entitled to our views here and that just happens to be mine ![]()

Just to add my voice to this:
Concentrating on the new expansion at the expense of a MUCH needed fix is WRONG.
We deserve to have what we were promised in NOVEMBER before we give you more money for an expansion.
I have never ever in my life seen such whining from people. This game is alot of fun even in its current state. I bought this game after being in beta and have enjoyed it completely. Sure there are bugs. I bet some of you still play UO and to this day (7 years later) are wondering how in the hell that game still has all the bugs it has and complain about it right? Yes, UO has been around for 7 years now and it full of bugs.
This game is only 1 year old and has far less bugs then UO. I think some of you need to get your priorities straight. This is just a game and if you don't like it then just quit and take a break.
I have waited for the space expansion for along time and this game seriously needs it to put the much needed Star Wars theme back there where it should have been at launch.
I have said what I needed to say, other then Great job Devs, I know your doing your best and cannot wait to get into space.
Just for the record, this is not UO. That's apples to oranges, and I played that game for almost 4 years and haven't noticed any bugs.

your welcome to post your thoughts but please do so in a less flaming manner, thanks.

Because I asked the developers to listen to the customers (which I shouldn't have to friggin ask anyways since i and other customers pay your salary)...you refer that to flaming? Give me a break for god sakes!

Well I know this post will be lost in the ocean of complaints but I just want to express my enjoyment in the game that you have created. It is unlike any game I have played in the past and in my eye is a very sucessful game. Please just do the best you can do and that is all that anyone, that is reasonable people, can ask.
I have extremely enjoyed the crafting and combat in this game and believe you are doing a wonderful job. People will always be unhappy with what you do... you are dealing with thousands of people - all of which have different ideas, dreams and wishes. You will never make a game that makes everyone happy... so set your goals and run with it, definately don't loss sleep over it... you're no good to anyone sleepy.
Good luck to you Thunderheart, and the rest of the Devs.
I personally thank-you for the game and the work you have done.
How long have you been playing SWG?

Heres a hint, Hide your jedi better. Ya know,, kinda like jedi did in this time period in Star Wars.. you might just not make the BH terminals that way.
I'm an old timer. I do not feel skrewed. In fact, I feel relieved that they will take the time to do it right.

I was wondering the same thing. Give it about 6 or 8 months and we'll see if they sing the same tune. Fact is all they did today was screw the old timers. Anyone that's new to this game has no idea what's we're talking about because they haven't dealt with the same trash month after month after month. They haven't PvPed for months, while trying to "create" their own GCW. You should see the people trying to keep PvP alive on Kauri through all of this. The players are they ones I salute, not the Devs.
